Those rockets were used very effectively when hordes of Saleka rebels were massing against the SA special forces at the battle of Bangui - 2013.
Yes indeed! Our boys gave those rebels quite the beating
@Be Frank Kill the fuckers, kids or not.
@Be Frank they they child soldiers, ex chadian ex C.A.R and other soldier from the area..... all having pasted basic training as adults..... funny no one noticed they where kids when they where in the regular army before they became rebels???no doubt there where some child soldier in the ranks but most of the nearly 3000 where adults..... grow a brain and do some research before showing how pathetic you are
@Be Frank i have read the accounts from accredited historian Helmoed-Römer Heitman... there are many detailed accounts. indicate what you have listed so i suggest you check you source
@Be Frank if they had guns and were killing sa soldiers what did you expect sandf to do. Give them candy? Such a nonsense comment
I need one to help me with my road rage.
🇿🇦!!!!
Forget all the puny stuff ..
Just install a 30mm Bushmaster Cannon and equip 2 infantrymen with the Ultimax 100 to cover both sides of the vehicle...
Simple and Effective ...😊😊
What is it with SA and 20mm? Also, is that mortar baseplate traversible?
yes it is.And 20mm is just more effective than a 50cal.
No argument as to its effectiveness. Just seems like a bit of a trade-off in weight.
@@nolanolivier6791 it's the ammo that's a issue really. More bulky.
and everyone in it will die if it hits a mine or an ide, i really dont see your point. If its in a combat area it should be mine protected.
Heard it doesnt offer android auto/carplay option...mehhh
Talk about a hot seat...I dont see any direction you could fire those rockets without setting something in that vehicle on fire! :D
It's a very, very odd choice for an SF vehicle. I suppose it's not a bad idea as a suppressive weapon, if you're being charged by a numerically superior force with low morale and indeterminate leadership. I rather suspect it might actually be the psychological aspect that makes the whole thing viable in the first place. In practical terms, I can't see how it beats a 60-80mm mortar in the indirect fire role, not unless you have a few of 'em (unless perhaps the ordnance is guided?). Looks very much like a shoot-and-scoot arrangement; fire in the general direction, get their heads and the tails turning, and then run before they get their nerve back. I would be very interested to see some more information on the application of this thing.
@Better Mouztrap hmmm... not going to get into a comparison of SF doctrine; still doesn't really explain the advantage over an 81mm. Really not seeing what mobility has to do with it...
You are wrong Sir. I'm not about to debunk you, you're welcome to read "The Untold Inside Story" by Helmoed Romer Heitman. It's always easy to judge from a different perspective or hindsight.
It is a cut above those SAS Go Carts ..
And it is not supposed to take on tanks..
Adequate for Raids and Recon ...😊😊
SA OWNERS THINGS
anti mine protection? SA were making mine protected vehicles in the 70's lol
@?? it's toast and considering todays combat climate should be mandatory.
At 2 :23 Chinese scouting for business Arms Fairs have no Conscience.
the only time you rather be in a humvee is if this was the other option.
100% bru - cleary they have not taken notice if the losses suffered using the Humvee...
One good burst from a rapid machine gun will finish it....no protection. However tuff recces are, they are not bulletproof Seen it too many times.4by4 capabilities look non-existent?
You add Armour it becomes to big and heavy.
Nice little bush basher . Love the 20mm, never liked the .50cal, waste of space. 20mm, 30mm, 40mm and 76mm is the way to go ,,,,.50cal ,25mm ,35mm and 57mm is a waste of time.
Skorokoro
With those sized wheels and that design.
Not capable of taking to many rounds and not enough ground clearance for extremly rough terrain.
Needs bigger wheels and a bit more protection.
It is based on a Toyota Landcruiser platform so it should be a good offroad even with the added weight.
Talk about putting 10 lbs in a 5 lb sack
F**k Jeep, I will have one of these thanks.
Lmao 🤣 🤣 🤣
????
Lol. They bank rupt
You can see it's anc inspired. As always you have all the bling with the bells and whistles , but no protection and too small tyres for starters.... Shooting a Mag to the front but off-center, really....? (Real Hollywood style) Capabilities is very questionable....
Trolls love anc.
@Lappies Labuschange You know it was created in the 80s right
Constructed in a shed...
Stupid
Sorry but if they had given it an Afrikaans name it probably would have had some swagger.....this is nothing in comparison to the "inventions" of Armscor in the 80's. Nothing special here.
Well the world does not revolve around afrikaans. So sorry you had to be told that this very late in your life.
@@lelethugani6757 Maybe not, but then I dont really care about your opinion.
@@MartinA-vp5bt and you think i care about your opinion? Durr.
not much better than a toyota pickup truck with 50 cal. on the flat bed
Much lighter tho, meant for air drops and being carried by a helicopter
+ its got a 20mm on and its waaay smaller doing the same thing.
unlike a technical these are built from the ground up to take the force of the weapons it carries, it all so lighter, does not compromise off road mobility and the engine block and many other parts are armored giving it some form of protection
Wow South Africa still the best
point everyone is missing is these are paratroopers and Recce, most they need light vehicles that can be air dropped into contact
Useless !!
Maybe you can use it against the Zulus , otherwise useless.
