Wow, great find! That’s pretty damn cool. I have absolutely no need for this, but I want one! Ha! The pace “metronome” feature is to walk to that beat, thus setting a goal/expectation for your pace. This thing looks great! Love the matte black stainless steel.

Ha, so I just bought one myself, and the first watch I’ve bought all year, but the different model that is yellow. I had a credit on Amazon and got free freight to Australia. I think it was just over $60 I paid for it. I preferred the look of the yellow watch, with the normal type band on it. I bought it for similar reasons, mostly the compass, and altimeter, but the more things to play with the better. Funny, too, I had exactly the same clock as yours, I gave it to my father in law and he had it repaired. It was my grandparents originally.

So far I’ve been wearing this thing every day, and it’s surprisingly more comfortable than I ever thought for the size. From things that I’ve looked at, the functions on the watch are best when it’s taken off your wrist placed on a dry, non-magnetic surface, and left for about 20 minutes…. Not sure how that’s going to fair in the middle of Alaska

@@allthingsrandom8137 Yes, I could see that being an issue! Mine will probably become my main daily watch also, I’ve been using a GD-350 G Shock on a leather nato strap for pretty much the entire year so far. I gave up trying to build my Seiko’s almost entirely because of inconsistent shipping or supply with covid and now my state is all but in lockdown again because of idiot politicians. I’d imagine Alaska would be fairly safe though?

Yes, pronounce the pedometer, similar how we pronounce “speedometer” or “Sped-o-meter”. Good review though, I’m going with what he says, the instructions are a bit lacking, but that will happen with some products as they likely don’t have a good interpreter around. I am not fluent in Mandarine, so will have to make do. I’ve worked at a few places where an English native speaker wasn’t any better in their technical writing to other English speakers. As time goes, someone may learn the two languages better and write a better manual. For now, this review is very helpful. I’ve gotten by with anything that tells time, old school Casio for $10, but the cheap rubber strap fell apart. This is way overkill for me, but have to agree, very nice watch for the money.
