- Our DIY campervan conversion, three months of work in 6 minutes. We bought empty Peugeot Boxer van to convert into a fully functioning campervan!
Lockdown left us with a lot of spare time, so what else to do than convert a van to a camper van!
With no idea where to start we learned how to wire up the electrics, plumb a small kitchen and a lot about carpentry. After a lot of hard work and perseverance, we are finally ready for a summer road trip!

This is exactly what I want, looks brilliant.

brilliant.
Nice work but they have made the mistake a lot of people make is that they should have painted the wooden tongue and groove before it was put up. By painting it in position then when the wood shrinks, which it will, the bare wood will show especially if painted in a dark colour.
Hardly going to shrink that much he screwed it in place haha 😂 need to be some on godly shrinkage to pull screws out of place

Potentially, something we have thought about! We may change the layout this summer and may do a video on this at that time :) !
Really nice work! You going to do a van tour video? It would be nice to get a better look at it. People say it's best to make sure there's holes under your mattress so it can dry out/breathe. 👍🏼

I’m thinking about getting one myself I currently have a Vauxhall vivaro. With a fixed bed but the bed width ways is to short as I’m 6ft 2 what’s the finished measurement of the bed length once you’ve got the mattress on and ply’d the walls out etc. from one side to the opposite as mine currently is 5ft I think. Obviously I need longer.

Hi, we popped to out local scrap yard to see if they had any of its kind, and there was a retired camper with a perfectly good clean sliding window, so we saved it for £30

Hi is the insulation moisture proof the conversion looks great BTW
It's rockwool, people have their own opinions about it in vans but I believe it to be just fine
@@TravelEpisodes Beautiful campervan, however, you made a mistake not to install a vapor barrier. If you use the van when it is cold outside, condensation will form on the car body. You need to know about it and control it. In addition, you will also have mold under the mattress. The plate must be openwork.

personally we don't think its too big I thinks ours is L3

Thanks so much! No just a toilet room, decided against a shower ash it used too much water! No roof condensation as of yet and the side windows don't open, we went for the cheaper option! Maybe next time we will get opening ones! :)

@@whatyeonaboot Ah dont worry about the showers theres plenty of them around ;) and we havent weighed it but its all light weight wood and as minimal as possible :)
