Reeps has been one of the best role models for me because he taught me that I should create what I like, and to not care about what people think of my music. Over the years he has been such an inspiration, moving from beatbox battles to giving full solo shows and constantly evolving his voice. He has pushed the boundaries of the human voice further than anyone else. Thank you for sharing your passion with us, Harry. I hope I can catch one of your shows one day.

For anyone unfamiliar with the context -- Reeps One is a beatbox legend. He was UK battle champion. He inspired an entire generation of new school beatboxers. When he performs, Reeps has an incredible sense of composition -- he gets a full crowd of people dancing, whether for a 20 or a 60 minute set, with cleverly constructed arcs of tension and release. No other beatboxer does it like him.
So when Reeps performs somewhere like TED, he's taking the format somewhere experimental. It's not dance, it's not battle. It's art. I fucking love it.

This is what music will become very likely. Instead of stories to be heard, sometimes with way too many words, songs will be stories to be felt. A fuller experience, feeling is 100% in touch with the source of information, language instead is like receiving the world though a screen with (always) less resolution than reality.

The throat-singing reminded me of the Sardaukar chants in Villeneuve's Dune. Terrifying and beautiful
What makes this so interesting is that Reeps One mixes the past and the present making a possible future of how it sound like or might sound like. From the vocal expression of old humans by grunts or just sounds to the present where they add beats similar to edm or trap music. Correct me if I'm wrong...... Also what makes this otherworldly is the echoes and angelic choir voice combine together to make it transcend. That is just amazing, as if I'm watching a Sci-fi movie for the first time. I will watch this again with earphones on......
