Manfrotto Be Free 3 Way Live Advanced Travel Tripod - Best tripod for hybrid shooters

In this video I'm taking a look at the Manfrotto Be Free 3 way live advanced travel tripod. This new Manfrotto tripod is unique because it is designed for both video and photography so its possibly the best hybrid shooter tripod.
The Manfrotto fluid head known as the manfrotto fluid drag tripod head is cleverly designed to make this an ultra compact travel tripod but still has all the features essential in order to call this a video tripod.
Its an aluminium tripod so not quite as light as a carbon fibre travel tripod but the aluminium means this tripod has a payload of a whopping 6kg, making it perfect for larger video rigs.
The 3 axis video tripod head also folds down nice and small meaning this is no hassle to carry around on mobile shoots.
I think this might be the best tripod for hybrid shooters like me that are often working alone and need the versatility to shoot photos and video with the same tripod.

What do you think about Vanguard tripod options? Worse than Manfrotto per simular price rance?
I bought this tripod a few weeks ago and so far I love the versatility. Just a quick point, a few people have mentioned not being able to adjust the tension of the panning motions, but I've been able to do this simply by twisting the handles, although if you want a tighter/stiffer tension then make sure the tripod is weighted!

Some details you mentioned (hard time balancing the camera, odd placement of the little locking knob, etc.) I had never heard of before seeing your content. How has this held up for you over the last two years. I’m ready to pull the trigger on purchasing it, but was curious as to how it’s held up over time…
The legs have been great, the head not so much, it’s ok in a pinch but doesn’t compare to a larger more solid video fluid head. That opinion is purely based on video shooting, the head is fine for photography but then there are simpler light options available if just using for photography
