  • MXPX recently celebrated 25 years together. They're still playing songs they wrote in their teens and are still drawing crowds from all over the world.

First time I heard MXPX I borrowed a CD from my churches youth group library. I never gave the CD back (1995). Been an off and on fan ever since. But to hear their new album is awesome. I’m traveling from Indiana to their Colorado show this April. I haven’t seen them live since a Warped Tour in 2003 I think. I can’t wait! They are just honest an wholesome guys.

Sigh. First heard MxPx around 1999. Didnt know they were christian until insaw them on G rock skate videos. After that it was all history. Got into the israelites, officer negative, sick of change and headnoise. Good memories

It's a bit discouraging that Yuri and Tom still have to hold down full time jobs despite MXPX being a relatively successful band with a pretty large following. You'd think that with the years of touring, playing big shows, selling merch and records they'd have enough money to not have to work some extra job. Sucks.

Really all they needa do is drop more music and they'd have more money

I dont know if you heard but music is a racket and success is mostly for the record company.

They had a rough time with one of their labels… maybe A&M Records (and possibly Tooth & Nail).
In their “Slowly Going the Way of the Buffalo” album (1998), they had a song about it - “What’s Mine is Yours”.
Record companies don’t make deals for artists unless lawyers are involved, and I doubt they had any kind of money for that until much later. By then, too late for their big hits.
