For real. Like I don't think it AMAZING but it's definitely better than a lot of more popular shows out there. And something are genuinely top notch, like the camera angles, set designs and locations. There are so many expensive gags and props I can't believe they had the budget for it. Like in one episode they interact with a trained CHIMP. That must have been crazy expensive!
I disagree. I think "The Monkees" does the same exact concept so much better than "Big Time Rush". If anything, "The Monkees" deserves even more recognition from the generations that came after the show had its run. It still holds up surprisingly well today.
My all time favorite joke in this show is when Logan walks into the crib and is like “I wish I was a girl!!” for some silly reason and Schmitt’s mom drops all of the dishes she has in her hands
The silly reason actually wasn’t that silly this time. It’s when he wants to go to a lecture by his favourite (I think) author but it’s at an all girls school or just a girl-exclusive lecture

I've been watching this series for the very first time on Netflix and I think my favorite joke so far was when James apparently went on a date with a plant in the Boyfriend Music Video. The combination of the camera _zooming_ in on his face, James's expression of curiosity and confusion, and then the camera _zooming_ in on the plant was comedic perfection! XD
This show’s production is so underrated. The music, the sound effects, the guys’s acting. This show was hilarious as a kid and now I find it even funnier as an adult. This episode was probably the best of the whole show as well. I’m glad they’re all back together. REBOOT PARAMOUNT MAKE IT HAPPEN!

I love that they used sound effects instead of some annoying laugh track that could potentially ruined a moment. Every time they used a Mission Impossible theme, it's just hilarious 😂😂😂

For me, my favorite joke was when Carlos and Logan fake-kidnapped Griffin, and when they found the recycling plant that the dumpster he was in was taken to, they were given a plastic bottle..... So they dressed it up in a suit to look like Griffin and started crying

The sound effects are almost exactly the same as from Nick's cartoon shows like Danny Phantom or Fairly Odd Parents, but it's done so well. Like you definitely notice the sounds, but it's not obscenely corny. It's just the right amount of quirkiness.

My favorite thing about this show was it was aware of how cheesy it was. The jokes always landed and they're still funny now that I'm older, plus it was never cringe packed like a lot of Nickelodeon shows

Honestly, this show should have been marketed for adults because the jokes in this were way too good. And the set, sound effects, camera angles add to the charm. They need to reboot THIS big time.

Currently re-watching the show and it’s even funnier than I remembered. I love the strike episode with the posters that kept changing magically. Also, Scott Fellows, the creator of the show, also did Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide and Johnny Test, so I guess the sound effects are kinda his thing but I love it. It works.
Imagine being the person on the other end of that life alert thing and you think some old man is in need of an ambulance but it’s just some teenager asking you about your day.

For real. Like I don't think it AMAZING but it's definitely better than a lot of more popular shows out there. And something are genuinely top notch, like the camera angles, set designs and locations. There are so many expensive gags and props I can't believe they had the budget for it. Like in one episode they interact with a trained CHIMP. That must have been crazy expensive!

I disagree. I think "The Monkees" does the same exact concept so much better than "Big Time Rush". If anything, "The Monkees" deserves even more recognition from the generations that came after the show had its run. It still holds up surprisingly well today.
My all time favorite joke in this show is when Logan walks into the crib and is like “I wish I was a girl!!” for some silly reason and Schmitt’s mom drops all of the dishes she has in her hands

I've been watching this series for the very first time on Netflix and I think my favorite joke so far was when James apparently went on a date with a plant in the Boyfriend Music Video. The combination of the camera _zooming_ in on his face, James's expression of curiosity and confusion, and then the camera _zooming_ in on the plant was comedic perfection! XD

It's better than using a laugh track
The sound effects are almost exactly the same as from Nick's cartoon shows like Danny Phantom or Fairly Odd Parents, but it's done so well. Like you definitely notice the sounds, but it's not obscenely corny. It's just the right amount of quirkiness.

My favorite thing about this show was it was aware of how cheesy it was. The jokes always landed and they're still funny now that I'm older, plus it was never cringe packed like a lot of Nickelodeon shows

Currently re-watching the show and it’s even funnier than I remembered. I love the strike episode with the posters that kept changing magically. Also, Scott Fellows, the creator of the show, also did Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide and Johnny Test, so I guess the sound effects are kinda his thing but I love it. It works.
I love BTR I can really rewatch this and laugh at all the jokes I missed as a kid.
