- Here we take a look at one of the handmade cresting machines from our collection, our wonderful CZcams subscribers wanted to see an alternative to the modern shop bought versions. This one is `human powered`, sadly we don't have any `plans` or instructions, but we do hope this gives you some idea of what you are trying to achieve and some hope that a homemade version is at least possible.

I made one with a sewing machine motor with a foot pedal to control the speed, one with one of those variable speed electric screw driver multi tool jobbies and one with a 6 speed Meccano or Lego motor - all controllable speed, easy to make and produced great results - keep up the good work Gents 🙂

I actually came to your channel by way of typing in, 'take out twist in bow limb.'
I typically build the American Flatbow as opposed to the European styles and I recently had a nasty twist that confounded me by its reluctance to leave.
It became the perfectly tillered matchstick and obviously I screwed up.
Having in retirement turned into an archery fanatic I must say your channel looks very interesting.

From my experience, a bank is a great place to find a piece of ash...
What type of paint do you use? A model paint because the pigment is finer than regular household paint?
I use Humbrol model paints, because they look nice.
If theres an unemployed hamster in your area, you could consider taking him on to power the jig.
I will keep a look out.
Please please rig it up with a little dog.
It would be a bit rough on the pooch.
