Lot of hate in the comments, while I understand the sig hate (beta testing, lawsuit, safety)
Many manufacturers have the same problems but not nearly the coverage.
I have a good amount of sig guns both older and newer.
Sigs customers service is great for a big company.
I’ve worked as an armorer and a gunsmith handling, sometimes warranty stuff.
I’ve shot and handled a lot of sig products and I enjoy them, I’ve had some p320s that have been clapped to hell and back and still do not have any of the issues mentioned, not saying they don’t exist, merely stating I have a different viewpoint where I get to see a larger sample size.
    My mcx shoots good.
    I still shoot glocks
I carry a 1911 even though the internet says I’ll get kilt in the streets.
Sometimes I just don’t argeed with the internet hivemind and think for myself.
    I like sig.

@@JoeWinter-ky8xo some of them are worthwhile, some are not. The only ones that I own are the ones which give me functionality I cant get with other platforms. Mostly used when the price is sensible and I've been happy with them so far.
The optics started out trash, and though improved haven't gotten any better than holosun, etc. 5k for a SPEAR is stupid when other rifles with similar capabilities sell for 2.5k. The barrel bending stuff with the LT was unconscionable, as was the drop fire problems with the P320. There is no good reason for those things to happen besides being a cheapass and letting the customer quality test your guns for you which undercuts the SIG quality perception needlessly. FN, PWS, LMT, POF, DD make fine and equivalent weapons for 2.5K without the quality control concerns.
The only thing that separates the MCX from other piston guns is the lack of a buffer tube and the presence of a dust cover in some cases. That's it. The new URX from primary weapons has better modularity and true multi cal capability without losing more than .5 MOA.
the 365 was a huge success, and a great product in my opinion. I've seen used ones priced at the point of a new FCU. Again had striker problems and coating issues to start that should have been solved in the quality control department.
Do fanboys and idiots with money to burn make good customers sure. Kimber found that out. It's easy money getting less savvy people to spend money on new shiny things that just have a new color or whatnot. I think that behavior tarnishes SIG brand needlessly.
Spending a bit more on quality control so your products don't shoot off bullets when they aren't supposed to, so the barrel stays true when you shoot it... These are problems that can be fixed by just a bit more money put into your quality control department. You like making a shit ton of money with your carnival show business model, fine. Just make sure the guns work BEFORE you send them out to the public.
The idea of having two dots for supersonic and subsonic 300blk? Great idea! Does it solve a problem worth more than $7000? Absolutely fucking not unless you are gouging the taxpayer selling them to the military. Others will just come along and put together the same idea for a sensible price while that shit gathers dust on the shelf.
Overall I like sig products. I like innovation, I like modularity. I like new ideas and new stuff for the gun community. I think it's great. Then they take a big shit in the punch bowl by over-pricing hype and under-delivering quality. That pisses me off. And it pisses a lot of people off.
Take the FUSE. It's just a longer barrel and longer grip. Who gives a fuck. 900 bucks? No. It's just trying to make more money from doing nothing. There are other long slides out there aftermarket. What is its purpose? What is the purpose of painting the 320 XTEN a new color and calling it a new model? Take that stupid fucking marketing bullshit money and put it into quality. It's just irritating.

Yes it is a common issue. I have the X MACRO and so far I’ve had to clean off light superficial rust on the iron sights once. I don’t sweat like a pig but I have owned the pistol since December 2024, and carry it almost everyday in the appendix position and it does get sweaty. The finish on the sig mags and iron sights is just prone to rust. No this isn’t normal with other pistols no matter how much you sweat. Also I don’t live in a humid climate, it’s leaning towards the dry side actually.

    • @weaponology556

What a lot of people want to know is, when is Sig going to get into the Double stack 1911/2011 game? There is such an opportunity to get in to that category while it's still hot. Staccato and Bull Armory seem to be sitting at or near the top. Along with a few others as well. Sig should sit right above them at a cost that will drive business their direction.

    • @BrianKern2121
      @BrianKern2121 Před 6 dny +1

They have the P210. If they change the frame to take P226 or P320 magazines, add a rail, and make it RDS friendly, Sig would have a decent contender to the 2011 market. Instead, they will just continued with the 226 SAO with 39 different variations.

It doesn't work like that. The ergos are shit if they go to double stack, the trigger has to still move around the mag upwards. Not every company has to be in every market.

Let's support the bogus charges levied against almost all German small arms manufacturers (HK, Sig, Walther, etc.) in the last 10 years by their gun-grabbing politicians and the corrupt and hypocrtitical ENAAT, currently lobbying to influence US gun laws to reflect the EU's "norms of the Common position". Gun bans, basically.

I wont touch ANYTHING made by them in the last 5 years. Not even my beloved 226 or 229. And lets not even get into the absolute debacle of the sig p320. They will go bankrupt if they were to admit that has design flaws. SIG should be a NO go for everyone until they get their crap together. Bottom tier dangerous junk. So far from where they once were. Ive got an early 90s 226 and its gerogeous...shot a modern one with the finish worn off after 2 weeks and metal wear. Sig is equivilent to the early 2000s taurus. Thats how terrible their qc is.
Heres a video that adresses ALL of the countless problems. Get sig to fix their huge problem.
