Just finished this chapter and it really was something i was surprised I enjoyed at some points, it really did pull me back into the humanizing world that is the witcher but also made me wish that these books were longer so there was more.

This isn’t an exciting chapter to read but it’s certainly eventful. Was surprising to see Nilfgaard lost this Battle of Brenna. You’d think he’d want to raise tension for the conclusion. It was often confusing to know what’s happening, since it jumps around so much. Even from the perspective of students studying this battle in the distant future. I did enjoy the medical tent scenes. Reminded me of episodes of MASH. Tragic they tell us Rusty, the halfling doctor; and nurse die in the plague, Ciri is partly responsible for.
Think I understand why Witchers aren’t suppose to take part in wars. Witchers, by the demand of their jobs, are travelers. If it was to get out that Witchers were siding with one kingdom against another. They could be banned from entering or traveling through a large region, and work is hard enough for the Witchers currently.
