It's not produced by Rishabh Shetty. It's produced by Hombale and also he did not approach to others or got rejected. It did not have any production issues either since it was shooted post pandemic.Rishabh told the climax was not directed by Raj but it was choreographed by Raj. Anyway it's such a great experience and deserves all the success

In an interview Rishab mentioned that apart from Sapthami every lead actors had some theatre experience… so they all together groomed her like a newbie and trained her well.. hence her performance was good…
Sapthami Gowda's acted in fre film prior to this.
Watched it 5 times already. Even have Panjuruli daiva photo in my puja room. It is a film that changed me and my life in a positive way 🙏

I watched this movie two times in theatre. A message from Shiva's Father in the beginning of movie is the conclusion of movie as well as life too. All cultures, traditions are rooted with Nature and festivals are celebrated for thanking the nature and God. Movie has so much that in one time you can not get over of it. When i watched first time, i was blown away, wow what a movie!!!!
•It was Directed in the same village where Rishab was born.
•It is produced by Hombale Production.
•Noone had wore footwears anywhere around the daiva sthana to give respect to it, they also didn't have non veg for many months.
•Rishabh himself had asked permission to make a film on daiva,with the daiva during kola and also spoke about this with Virendra Hegde Who is the administrator of Dharmasthala.
•And its not the first film of the lead heroine Saptami.

Correction: Murli is not police officer but a Forest officer in this movie. Forest dept. Must be given some recognition as they are the true people who are actually protecting the forest and nature.
Feels really good to see movies based on protecting nature and also showcasing the Forest Department Officials and theier good role to conserve nature.

I was mesmerized with the ending, got goosebumps literally,and also got Emotional...after watching the ending it gave the feel like, we are born to serve humanity and love, care for each other and mother earth....
It's not a movie... Its an amazing experience... The concept, the story, story-telling, cultural references, background score, acting of every one, costumes... Everything is flawless. I found only one thing missing and that's the signature tune for the every entry of PinjurlyDaiva and GulikaDaiva... It would have been much more relatable having a signature tune either for them or for entire movie (Like Tumbad, the title song and its music makes Tumbad quite effective). Never the less, Vrushabha has definitely made a masterpiece which would left a permanent impression of his own on the movie industry... Kudos!!
Hands down brother...This movie is just magical.. Those last 15 mins of movie I literally felt spirit hovering on me.. And I was in the tears. I was getting chills and having hot body. I don't know what was that. But it was magical. Hats off to Rishab Shetty for this magical experience.

The one and only Director of this movie is Rishab Shetty, he himself acknowledged in an interview saying that the bhootha kola in the beginning and climax is choreographed by Raj B Shetty.
A man in Mangalore got possessed, actually I think it was more of being influenced by the climax as he also related to that culture.
They didn't wear slippers in the proximity of that idol in shooting area as a respect to the spirit. They followed all the purity related lifestyle in devotion.

Brother appreciate effort in the video....but Rishab sheety when he wrote the story, he approached Karthik Gowda(Creative producer Hombale films) and explain film in 5 mins and Karthik Gowda was thrilled....next Rishab sheety called Vijay Kiragandhur(producer Hombale films)and it was finalised within 5 mins......and he did not approach any other producer.
Infact the cost of producing was doubled from planned and Hombale films gave full support and freedom to this do this Divine movie

This is a classic movie which represents Indian culture and respects the emotions of an indian. Must watch this piece of cinema.. Rishabh wanted to make a movie Rudraprayaga, but due to lockdown he went to his home town where he got the idea of Kantara, Kgf makers Hombale production once called Rishabh shetty if he has any good idea he can contact them, Rishabh called Karthik gowda executive producer of Hombale and told his idea and they accepted immediately.

Saptami is amazing!!! She is fairer in real life. She actually had to tan in the Mangalore sun to get up to the natural complexion of girls from that region. Her acting and expressions are also very authentic. Proud to say she is 'nam gowdru hudgi'!

This movie is not the debut movie of Sapthami gowda (Leela) , she has acted & bagged the best debutent award in a kannada movie called , ' 'Popcorn Monkey Tiger '. Kantara is her 2nd movie. But one thing is true that he selected her after seeing her Insta photograph.
You forgot to add tell about Naveen Bondel. He was a bus conductor is what I heard and he is the one who delivered a very powerful opening to the Demigod character. We had goosebumps in his 2-3 min roleplay.
