Please don't write bad things about Davy out of respect. RIP, Davy Jones. You were very talented and it was a thrill to interview you in 2008.

Its nice to see Davy Jones being interviewed as just him. He has been working hard all these years. He was my first love as many others. I was only 8 at the time. The show was so innovative for its time. Really nice interview to remember him by. I feel like I lost my first friend. My childhood soundtrack has been dying alot these past years. I think its called aging.

That's cool you got to interview Davy.. He seemed like a really kind person. It sucks that he left this earth too young.
RIP, Davy. You and your music will continue to live on in my heart as the years go on.

Really miss Davy Jones! And it's really fascinating to see him talk raw like this. I think his relationship with Micky and the other guys was hot and cold ..which is just how life is sometimes. I think they all genuinely loved each other.

Note to people watching this video:
I went to the show at the last minute and was not sure we were getting an interview with Davy. Davy was not eating dinner. I did not interrupt him. I was asked by a press person at the last minute to cover his concert in Times Square. Davy's press person was a reader of my site and asked me to cover the concert a few minutes before the concert occurred. I bought tickets and although I have always been a monkee fan, I did not know about Davy's private life.

Sometimes Davy Jones comes across as crabby, but if you listen to all his interviews, he seems like a genuine and nice guy. I think he likes the other Monkees. He is just as likely to say supportive things about each of them. I think he finds some of the questions tiring. Some of what people take as criticism is simply his sense of humor. He takes the time, though, to answer questions in detail and honestly. Micky says they are like siblings. Bonded, but busy with adult lives of their own.

It was such a shame Davy went so soon as we thought. We hoped he would be around for a long time.

@corinescorner I would never say anything bad about Davy. Heck no.
I've been a fan of the Monkees since I was twelve. And I was indeed profoundly saddened when I heard that he died.
RIP, Davy. I know that your spirit will live on in my heart forever. Keep the songwriting and having going! m

I wonder when his second marriage ended? Was it just before this interview? He seems sad, not at all like other interviews I have seen. Wonder just what could have been happening in his life. Micky and him were friends but because of the way the Monkees was handled I don't believe that Micky got all the recognition that he wanted. If you look at later interviews like recently you will see how he frequently calls attention to himself.

What a shame. Here Davy passed away just this past Wed. Feb.29th. Mike Nesmith written some wonderful words.Peter Tork has also been kind. However, Micky Dolenz has been the one making rounds to many of the talk shows, about Davy's passing. He has been so kind with his thoughts & words about Davy.Listening to Davy say some pretty unkind words about Micky is rather upsetting.Thank goodness,Micky has class &is a stand up kind of guy to give Davy the kind of respect he has given in recent days.
