It's been amazing to see what's been happening with VFX I often find so many recognizable assets in music videos it's mind boggling how acessible everything has become. 5:32 I agree. Mesh to metahuman is beginner-friendly. Doesn't Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra utilize metahuman? It's a great example of how advanced the metahuman tech can get.
I think the subtext from Josh was saying metahumans can get complicated, and when you are a beginner those random “checkbox” problems can be daunting and that’s why you shouldn’t fuck with it and facial animation to start out
gotta start somewhere i was a beginner too there are plenty of youtubers covering metahumans now. the best way to learn is to try and make alot of mistakes if you are willing to learn you will learn check my videos on metahumans 3 years ago there were alot of frustrations and figuring things out
Everyone learns differently - the random stuff that can happen when using MH can be too much for some when first starting out, better to get your legs under you with the program first. For others like me and you, the random stuff is just another problem to learn about and solve on the go. There’s room for both approaches 🎉

Where are the Metahumans used exactly. They are obvious in your cartoon sequence examples but they aren’t used for Em or the other main characters, right?

@@richlee8154 I did an Eminem Deepfake a while back and put him in the movie "Equilibrium", then more recently in "Dumb & Dumber" lol. Looks like he came out quite well in Houdini. The Metahuman animations are really solid.
I bet to all of you. that they make the cost of this video super high, and they even still used default metahumans with no customization at all jajaja. Please companies who offer this kind of music videos, make an effort to deliver more life alike Humans, try to customize them to really sell it. I think Eminem would be better to have in 3d as a Metahuman.

It's crazy to me how people already think Eminem's shots were deepfaked, just because this technology has come so far. He just shaved and dyed his hair blonde. I doubt that there was much done to his face.

@@yux its a double with a deepfake on, you can see a difference between their mannerisms, Old Em don't act like young Em, he didn't shave nor dye his hair, if he did you'd see pics of him without a beard and in the video he wears a bad wig instead of dying his hair when they become a hybrid of young and old Em. Deepfake is the easiest way to achieve this deaging, they just needed a double that can perfectly replicate Em's young mannerism, you can actually see artifacts across the vid, the face don't always look perfect

In the promo phase you can see eminem with trimmed beard, which could indicate, that he at least shaved himself before the shooting of the video.

You should be careful with using metahumans for games. They use a crazy amount of texture samples alone from what ive seen.
