Very cool advantedge. I love these bars, they carried on the tradition started by the 8000 series of mixing halogen and strobe and being able to accommodate lots of custom user requests. I like the non-standard rotator placement and combo of internal takedowns and rear flashers combined with external front flashers. Do you know if the flasher module was replaced? I am used to finding the electronic edge style flasher in these bars, not a thermal or relay style (clicking noise). As you have noted advantedges had high failure rates and therefor frequent inhouse repairs but also high level of user customization, so neither would surprise me. Thanks for posting this, I love that you go through the features one at a time.
What’s funny, is that the front flashers are on a FA3 flasher, and the rear flashers are on the regular Whelen flasher. I’m not sure how to wire up the front flashers to the Whelen board, so I figured I’d save myself the headache, and just pull over the modified FA3 guts from a different AdvantEdge. I’m glad you caught that; it kinda bugs me, but fixing it is very low on my to do list with all the lightbars I have.
@@doranbaltus That's why I love these bars, I have found so many user modifications and "special" factory orders inside what looked like normal shells.

I wish Whelen could bring back those Advantedge light bars, but with LED Rota-Beam lightheads. Might as well call it the “AdvantEdge ll Rota-Beam”
