    Hey guys, just wanted to say I'm not trying to dissuade anyone from riding or enjoying EUCs. I just wanted to share what happened to me.
    For those of you who might be asking why I'm still doing deliveries when I said "I quit" in the latest podcast, it's because I was unaware at that time of the "additional pay" these apps give on top of the 18/hr, which makes deliveries still OK pay-wise. Also, if you're curious why I keep doing deliveries in general, last few months I've been working on my portfolio for other things, as I don't plan on doing this forever (not that I'm trying to knock anyone who enjoys this work). I addressed some of these things during this video but decided to cut it out as it was too long.
    Anyway, just wanted to share that because I know people are sometimes curious. Hope everyone is well :)

      in a weird twist of fate, i was actually more concerned about the building the person who stole the EUC took it to than I was about getting it back... i suppose you use the yeet cable to keep your wheel stationary? not sure what that is exactly

    • @GitDatPC
      @GitDatPC Před 4 měsíci

      @ETAonTheEUC It's just a cable wrapped around the front of the stand so I can drag the EUC and stand all together and yeet all of it out the door, if possible lol

    There is a rattle can spray product named Corrosion X that I've used on automotive applications but I found it following RC modeling media. It's messy, sort of like spraying on grape jelly, never dries, but it will repel moisture and stay in place if applied lightly enough. I suggest after spraying brush lightly to spread evenly. It will not conduct electricity so just coat everything. Working on the electronics later will be messy but manageable.

    Brother GOto SHOP to get it fixed in NYC ... AI Rides is up in the Bronx ...... I love EUC & they are such a cost to perofrmance to time awesomeness--- are way to fun & are RARELY as Dangerous if a competent repair guy & the new Lynx is great n with the additional safety measures if BMS just dies .... Anyway I think they keep getting better but more expensive .. I hope you find whatever makes you happy but if you dont understand how the EUC works let someone who does it for a living fix it. Love watching your vids man! Never had an euc, however I got myself an e-bike about 2.5 years ago and It made a huge difference for delivering food. Way faster and you are less tired after 12 hours of constant work. The only thing I had to replace was the motor once (~350€) since it already passed around 10K km without any maintenance. Also, had an accident where the battery base just went in smokes, poor contact caused it, made sense since it was during salty winters of Easter Europe. Had the whole battery reassembled for around 90 euros. Ever since, ran great and had no issues except the battery range slowly degrading. I think e-bikes are way better than eucs in terms of cost effectivness. I would advise you to try out the bbshd or bbs02b (I'm using the following) motors on your current bike as well as decent custom made battery by a professional and reputable builder. You could assemble a whole set for around 1000$ which makes way more sense than repairing the euc. Just my 2 cents here, I would love to try euc, but they're just too darn expensive for me atm. Anyways, keep up the good work, man! Looking forward to your vids, much love from Vilnius! ♥️

If you decide not to get back on the EUC, I just want to let you know that I have enjoyed your EUC channel and will continue to watch. I think everybody watching your vids understands the importance of safety first on the job and that you gotta do whats best for your health and well being. With regards to EUC repairs...yeah thats a lot...for the amount of money mentioned you could buy a new EUC (less powerful of course). If I recall correctly on one of your older vids you had mentioned something about the 18-20mph range being more than ample for deliveries. Could you possibly salvage your older EUC's for parts and put those funds towards an Inmotion V10 or Inmotion V8S and break even financially or offset a majority of the cost? Then you could have both options for deliveries...EUC and bike. Have you ever thought about electric scooter for deliveries?

    Sorry that happened to you. That's crazy. Regular bicycle is is good for delivery in NYC now because of the hourly trip time. I think regular bicycles will do good in Manhattan but wont do as good in Queens or especially somewhere hilly like the Bronx. Bad thing about regular bicycle is you going to be tired if you do it full time. Doing like 8 hours a day, day after day, your legs going to be sore. You will get fit but you going to need days off here and there. That's the bad. With a electric or gas motor vehicle you can work 8 to 12 hours a day seven days a week as long as you can mentally handle it.

    Sounds like you may have miswired your charging socket that you installed. Could have just blown the inline fuse and sounded like it was a battery cell also produced a nasty smell doesn't mean it's the battery.
    These eucs really don't have a lot of parts to them. Anyone that decides to ride should really learn about them. When you break it all down it's only a handful of parts that are serviceable. Once you understand the electrical and the mechanical land you can understand these closed systems front to back and back to front quite simply. It's all a matter of learning about it step by step all the way through.

    • @ETAonTheEUC

      Maybe. I personally think I had the wrong charging board as I remember the cord/plug was shorter than the original with I think an extra wire (3 wires instead of 2 on one plug). When I plugged my batteries into it that probably why it happened. No one to blame but myself. All I know is I'm pretty sure it was related to the battery for the reasons I mentioned and also I remember feeling the side and it was hot/warm where it blew

      i wanted the v14 at one point, but i already had 3 working delivery EUCs and getting the v14 would be overkill. I'm kind of done with EUCs though. I sincerely feel they are a little too dangerous and expensive at this point in my life, not that I'm trying to discourage anyone from enjoying them :)

    So, the fun wore out for you. It sounds like you have no interest in riding again. I guess it's not a hobby anymore when you rely on it to make a living.
