Listening to Bobby argue why trolls can't be attached to Karplusan Forest is hilarious.
I’m glad you appreciated my joke 😂
Looking forward to how you adapt the deck or what you might move into after the band. Really appreciate your play style and detailed analysis.
thanks for tinkering! This is the first video of yours I've seen. I recently started playing G Devotion splashing black for Vraska Golgari Queen, and several sideboard options and wishable artifacts. It would be awesome to see you run something like that.
Sorry, Bro. I wish you the best on finding a new pet. For what its worth your content on this great archetype was awesome.
This is some really funny tech, who knew one of the ways to make mono green better was to add rakdos cards lmao
I'm surprised as to how well it seemed to fit in, sweet tech :)
Hey can you update in regard to the ban. Really love your videos and am currently struggling with a toxic build ramp
Here’s the newest variant of Green that I’m most happy with. I got it from AspiringSpike’s stream, where he was trying out a bunch of Green variants. I played for a few leagues and it did well enough. It relies on additional 2-mana-lands in Sunken Citadel and Castle Garenbrig to cast 7 drops ahead of curve, sometimes off of only 4 lands and no other permanents. It doesn’t have Storm the Festival, Cavalier of Thorns, or Old-Growth Troll. Instead, it goes for Up the Beanstalk, Hornet Queen, Titan of Industry, and Voracious Hydra. I will say that this deck has much less dynamism than Mono Green with Karn. Instead of being able to play many possible roles depending on the matchup (aggro, prison, control, combo), this new deck is “just” a ramp deck, and as such its subject to the typical problems that come with being a ramp deck. It seems to perform well against Rakdos, Phoenix, and Convoke. It’s extremely bad against Lotus and Amalia.

I realize monoG is ded (for now), but just wanted to say that I really enjoyed your approach to mtg content and I would happily watch videos on any decks you are playing. I know it is a lot of work and there are many good reasons to stop, but wanted you to know your videos were on the top of my CZcams weekly must-watch list and I would eagerly consume any future content. Cheers
Thanks for the kind and encouraging words 💚 more content in the future from me is a distinct possibility
I got a new video coming out tomorrow at 10AM Eastern Time. Thanks for the words of encouragement.
@@bobbyfortanely YOOOOOOO awesome to hear, looking forward to it 🔥🔥🔥🤘🤘🤘
Hey Bobby! I will really appreciate if you could bring a video with your thoughts about MonoGreen in a Karn-banned scenario. Very curious to know what line you think the deck will take. Should it back to the Vivien+Vorinclex build?

@@bobbyfortanely Hey Bobby! Thank you so much!
I was considering trying a line with Fight Rigging. If I do it, I will comment here about my impressions!
What do we do now Karn is banned in Pioneer...? Do we go big with the like emrakul, ulamog and ugin?

I've heard this deck called "Devotion to Fable" or "DTF", so I guess in this video Bobby is DTF 😏
thoughts on chimil as a karnboard wish? 👀
I'm doubtful, although I haven't actually tested it yet. There's a lot of low-impact spells to Discover into. It seems worth trying.
What we Do now?

Hi bobby, thoughts on the match vs discover carnosaur?
The matchup plays similarly to Lotus Field. You want either Karn, or a fast clock. With Stone Brain, try to name “Spark Double”. Then can only make 3 legendary copies of Quintorious to drain you for a mere 6 life total, or make at most three 7/6 dinos, both of which are quite beatable.
Why not just name Quintorious with the Stone Brain?@@bobbyfortanely
@@luisluks5774 congrats on your 6-1 opening at your RC.
To answer your question, it’s because if your opponent removes your Karn with Leyline Binding or the activated ability of Trumpeting Carnosaur before you have the opportunity to Stone Brain them a second time, then naming “Spark Double” does the most to disrupt their gameplan.
Removing Spark Double makes Quintorious into a 4 damage burn spell (since it can only discover into two copies Clever Impersonators), and it turns Trumpeting Carnosaur into at most two legendary Quintorious and 2 more Trumpeting Carnosaur. Three 7/6s is quite beatable for Mono Green. And then if Karn lives, you can Stone Brain Trumpeting Carnosaur, at which point your opponent is left with a deck at the power-level of Standard.
@bobbyfortanely thanks for your reply. Could not draw into the top 8 bc my opponents breakers were bad and I punted off the last round vs the faster dinos deck.
What are you going to play, now that karn is banned?

Some Ixalan cards in mono green?
Cards from Ixalan will be in the next video. The gameplay has been recorded.
@@bobbyfortanely ,💚
The deck got banned before I could upload it. The answer was 2 Hulking Raptor 1 Polukrnaos in the flex slots. Hulking Raptor was good at ramping by 2 mana to Storm in low-resource games, and hard to kill with the ward 2.
@@bobbyfortanely I'm playing with: 2 Polukrnaos , 1 Raptor and 2 oath.
Think even with fable, you need to sideboard vs. the discover decks since they're faster then you and actual otks. Fable does nice stuff for deck 'stability' but in those matchups, I think it's a pretty big downgrade since you the deck gets half to a full turn slower vs decks that can goldfish as quickly as turn 3 and 4 respectively, so I'd be interested in bringing in like, stonebrain/needle/dsphere, since Karning for them might be too slow and anytime it's not, you still have twinshot to tempo lock the game for a bit.
That all said, subscribed. Having finally started watching, find you're content obviously highly informative, but also pleasantly entertaining. Binged watched most of the channel past 4 days.
I’m glad you’re enjoying the content. Binging it is high praise 😊
Agree on wanting some amount of sideboarding vs Discover. I’m still thinking about what specifically it should be.
I'm interested in hearing in a future video about how MonoG matches up against the cascade combo decks that have arrived in LCI.
Does Green insta-die, 100-0 matchup? Or is it more complex than that?
Also, does MonoG have any interest in Cavern of Souls?
