Over the past couple of years, few musicians have made the type of impact that Jack Harlow has. This Kentucky native, known for his inoffensive style and easygoing bars, landed a spot on the Billboard Hot 100 while being little more than internet famous at the time. Over the past couple of years, there have been plenty of young people who’ve accomplished their 15-minutes of fame thanks to social media only to then fall off the charts, but that’s most definitely not the case with Jack. His raw talent and ever-increasing acclaim would lead to a record deal with Atlantic Records and the subsequent release of projects like “That’s What They All Say” as well as his most recent album, “Come Home the Kids Miss You.” And sure, acceptance might seem like it comes easy to Jack, but in point of fact, he had to overcome a lot of bullying thanks to an eye condition he suffered from as a kid. Know how this led to Jack expressing himself musically for one of the first times in his life? Then fill the rest of us in down below. Everyone else, stay tuned to find out that and a whole bunch more in the newest episode of Before They Were Famous.

I like how he went to his parents about his rap dreams and instead of telling him get a real job or go to college son, they were all for it but made him realize you're gonna have to put that work in !
He is a rich white kid 💵💰
@@JB-pb9oh yeah that's more reason for his parents to look down on wanting to be a rap artist instead they embraced it.
@@JB-pb9oh Stereotypes as usual

I remember listening to him when he first dropped sundown I knew he was gonna be somebody great!!!
Jack didn't care who thought his raps were 'wack' or let how he looked effect him. He stayed proud of all he did and continues to create. He's a strong ass dude for all he went through growing up, im serious
All he went through? He was a rich boy that grew up with a privileged life with both parents.
Even if you are privileged, it doesn’t mean that you don’t go through pain and struggle. It’s just in a different way
@@coleowens1084 only struggles my guy had was Gucci or LV 😂
@@209er2pRiVILeDgED! You clown 🤡🤡🤡
Gonna say it again Jack is an Underrated genius 💯🔥
Huh. So he didn’t come almost out of nowhere. He put the time AND was laser-focused on getting better and it worked. Gotta give him props for that.
Give JACK his JACKET... his album was amazing. 🔥🔥🔥
Definitely a GOAT in the making.
STOP WHATEVER U SMOKING ON...THIS IS HORRIBLE TRASH
really though....
Eh that album wasn’t it but he does have tons of potential to become a goat but if he keep on making the twerk anthems and forgettable music he gonna be just like g eazy which I don’t want to happen cus I fw him as a person heavy
No, it all makes sense. His parents fund his early ep and mixtape. I ain't mad at it.
Real fans know Loose & Confetti. I can't hate on Jack Harlow
Iv been listening to jack since 2015 when I first heard wasted youth and been following him ever since and put all my friends on him back then I knew he would be big at some point

Portland, JAMAICA in the Building !!!
YESSIRRR
Respect 🫡 he the future
On another note: I grew up enjoying Weird Al Yankolvick, and just finished seeing yet more confirmation of the fact that there is an effortless reward system just for being yt and male, on the other end of my research about the 15 highest paid DJ’s in the world (ALL yt and male and almost all not even American); because of things like this, and the fact that it would take very little to make him a “heartthrob”, I knew he would pop relatively quickly.
What does “yt” mean?
@@OFWGKTAdontgiveafuckwhite, and don’t listen to somebody who’s lazy enough to not write a 5-letters word
You gotta do a Gone But Not Forgotten on lil Keed. RIP.

I came here after hearing how unimpressive Jack Harlow is thinking “this dude had to have been born rich” and sure enough, I was right. American caste system
No middle class, well I guess he’s first class now. Okay I’ll leave.
victim mentality
I only know him from kfc
First
sig-norama, really?
Mid Harlow
Drake so white...that whole Canada accent bs he does is tradh
Soooooo….
he… ALL his life…
had stringy straight hair….
But now ALL SUDDEN… bcuz he NOW raps, has unnatural man made curly hair now???
U think tryna be accepted in
“hiphop crowd” had smtg do with that? 🤦♂️🤣
I mean.. IJS… someone just pointed that out to me lolol
don't seem like he dealt with much adversity... seems like he had a pretty easy going life with a lot of support around him and not many roadblocks... I respect his grind, but his origin story is weak...
Not his fault his parents worked harder than others. He still did something with HIS life.
@@ZerG713 well we can't agree that his parents worked harder than others because we don't know that... definitely not his fault and I'm proud of him as any American should be... but the fact remains his origin is weak...
“Origin story” lol makes him sound like a superhero. But yeah he had a basic upbringing why his music content is fairly basic. Not much depth
How is that his fault? He worked hard to get where he is at even though his album was mid lmao
Stop black fishing 🎣, use your brain 🧠 and get own style.
Logic could learn a lot from Jack's razor focus on his craft and not on his skin color or upbringing
