I know it's only because the copyright nonsense finally lifted, but two Snob episodes back to back? Yes, please!
I always loved that in the first 'Scream' Sydney gripes that with her luck they'd probably get Tori Spelling to play her in a movie, so they actually went and got Tori Spelling to be in 'Stab.'
I remember that! And thinking Tori must be really cool to have a laugh at herself
The most unrealistic thing is a movie casting Tori Spelling as the lead.
Remember in the first Scream movie, where Ghostface brings up that Mrs. Vorhees was the original killer in the first Friday the 13th and Jason, her son, didn't show up to be the killer until the sequel? Well Scream 2 literally did a reverse by having Billy be the killer in the first movie and his mother showing up to be the killer in the sequel. They even mention Mrs. Vorhees in Scream 2 to foreshadow Mrs. Loomis. Gotta love how these slasher movies have layers.
Then again it helps that we have wes craven to drive home that fact and his passion for horror films and continuity.
I would like to take this opportunity to encourage you to read more great literature and watch more renowned films. If a single allusion and structural inversion qualifies to you as "layers" then you have a world before you. Start with Don Quixote
You think mentioning a character from another movie is deep & proves Scream 2 has layers 😆😆😆
Yesterday, we visited the hospital during its Visiting Hours,
Now, we head back to take a Stab at college life with Scream 2.
then we went Back 2 Tha Hood
It's so strange to see Cinema Snob actually appreciate the first to Scream movies when I remember back in the old days Brad doing a midnight screening for Scream 4 and saying how much he hated the Scream movies
I was thinking the same thing. It's interesting to see his evolution with the franchise, but relatable, because sometimes you appreciate a movie more; the older you get.
Even to the point where he repeatedly blamed 4's shortcomings on Ehren Kruger's screenplay...even though Kruger didn't write it. He wrote 3 and executive produced 4.
The twist with Billy's mom is one of my favorite reveals in the series. I did forget about her until then. Nice callback to Friday the 13th and asks the question is insanity inherited.
When Gale walked through the door as the fakeout killer reveal, I gasped out loud. Even though it would make ZERO sense, just having her walk through the door was a holy shit moment.
Totally agree. At least one student should have asked, “There was a House 2?!!!”
For awhile, I thought "House 2" was the only House movie.
I would have payed for a feature with Wes Craven scenes where he has a vendetta with the MPAA for scenes that are to graphic to put on the big screen. But i started my horror career with Peter Jacksons dead alive. So that is a given. Rest In Peace Wes.
How the hell did you comment 3wks ago?
@@spencerdokes6056 right? Didn't think anyone did Patreon advance viewings *that* far ahead.
@@VidweIICopyright hell delayed the release of the episode.
Paid, too.
Oof I missed The Snob.
Cheers, Brad. Good to see more of him again.
This movie is infinitely improved by the presence of David Warner
Thank you for mentioning Low Down Dirty Shame. One o my favorite movies
I kinda wish we got the original version where Sid's roommate, Derek, Cotton, and Mrs. Loomis were the killers. And Mickey ends up being the new Randy in the series. But I do like the fact that Cotton becomes the hero & gets an interview w/Diane Sawyer. Plus having Mrs. Loomis as one of the killers gives me Friday the 13th vibes. And you got Tori Spelling playing Sidney in a movie about the Woodsboro murders.
Just got done watching yesterday's upload.. You spoil us you handsome bastard.
I think this was held due to copyright
I saw a review once that noted how clever it was that the audience came to see Ghostface, so the movie starts with an epic Ghostface scene but the rest of the movie is more deliberately paced, similar to Empire Strikes Back with its epic sci-fi battle right at the start.
This was my first Scream film I watch , and I enjoyed it.
same
I just want to say I have strong feelings for house 2 ... I love that movie as a kid lol
You're on fire lately, Brad! Thanks for the vid!
One of my best movie experiences. Me and like 10 other high school people (yeah people, like I had 10 friends) we all screamed at every chance and the theater joined in
12:02 Give Jerry O'Connell props for having the guts to do this scene and not pass out from the cringe.
16:50 One of the smartest black guys in horror history! Only one to top him is the gas station attendant in Halloween III: Season of the Witch (1982).
Apparently that was the scene everybody auditioning for the part of Derek had to perform. They must have really hated the casting director.
AND THE CHUUCH SAID AAAAAAEEEEMEN!!!!
Pretty sure that award goes to Rog from Night of the Demons.
@@SunnysFilms I would give that award to Laurence Fishburne in Event Horizon.
Again Brad makes our day!
Thanks for taking a look at one of the most underrated sequels ever made ❤🔪
Robocop 2?
Gremlins 2 ?
Underrated? Everyone I’ve met says this is their favorite
@@KillerKondom Defo
I love that you did Scream 2! It was loaded with all kinds of famous faces.
laurie metcalf is a national treasure, love her so much
My friend thanks for covering my favorite horror movie! Been here since the very beginning! Cheers from Puerto Rico! Much love to the team of course! Great job🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
This is one of those horror movies that is just as good if not maybe better then the first one. Also I've always been sad that the stab movies are never real.
Long comment sorry & going to get into some personal stuff, but I found you're channel about 5 years ago & subscribed but a few months later I was hit by a car & in the hospital for a few weeks it broke vertebra in my neck, cracked my skull & de-gloved my scalp, cracked my right shoulder blade almost in half & broke my left leg & shattered my ankle so now I can't work or get out much, had to move back in with my parents & all we have is Direct TV & there's never anything on so now I just watch CZcams on my Xbox & talking to my therapist, my medication, weed & you're videos help with my loneliness & boredom & I just wanted to say thank you for that
Hope you're doing well 🕊️
And Good Luck on your future endeavours 😇
@@enlightenednormie242 thank you. I am, I just have a little bit of pain now
In my mind this is the best sequel in the franchise. I really enjoyed how they handled the characters and plot for this one. It was meta but it didn't get annoying with how meta it could be like the later installments.
Double the Snob? It's not even my birthday!
I remember when the first and second film came out, the second film being the first I saw in the theater, sneaking in from another screening, as I was too young to buy a ticket.
Will Smith is secretly watching that movie every week I guess.😎
Yessir 😁
I generally do think Scream 2 is a better movie than Scream 1. Even though... I actually like them both. Scream 3 was where things got a bit shaky, especially with Erin Kruger taking over writing duties from Kevin Williamson. I like Scream 4 more than Scream 3.
I remember seeing this in the theater and being able to figure out the killers just from having seen the first movie and following the pattern. Both killers seemed way out of place, like they were just superimposed onto the story, rather than being an organic part of it.
Think of it like this way. Billy loomis is jason and billy’s mom is jason mom. They mentioned friday the 13th and how first killer was mother not jason till sequel.
That and they kept having people keep leaking shit from so often they had to change it around.
20:09 I didn't even notice that detail.
Everyone looked their best in this movie. Hair and wardrobe was 90s as hell, but nevertheless VERY on point. Campbell and Cox looked great. Sidney’s leather jacket was awesome, and the little red streak in Gale’s hair was a nice touch.
6:49 Hey look it's Quinn Mallory. Sliders reference Snob.
I can't believe the audience from The Bye Bye Man all met up to see Stab 1!
Yeah! Put STAB back on, I bought the costume and everything👀🍿🥤
Snob's currently entering his John Williams look a like phase
Scream 2 was the first R rated movie I saw by myself. I was in line behind a woman and her 3 daughters, let's say age 14, 12. and 10. I started talking to them and they said they saw the first one as a family too. The youngest daughter ended up explaining a lot to me like who was Billy Loomis. So I guess the lesson is if you don't like drag story time don't take your kid to it.
How the hell did they get in
How the hell did you comment 6days ago?

@@LammasuRex in australia r is 18 only. Australia has much better classification
Scream 2 is unapologetically my favorite one.
Jada has ALWAYS been Jada. Perfect casting. I remember even back then being happy when it happened. Didn’t they parody it in one of the “Scary Movie” movies, where they were so happy someone decided to kill her and they all joined in? 🤣🤣🤣
I Miss the days when comedies could just be comedies.
It was one of the times where the killer didn't kill someone. The movie audience killed her, and Ghostface just shrugs in his seat.
I saw most of the Scream TV series. You might consider it more of a curiosity watch if anything.
Also, to add to the whole sequels better than the original conversation...Terrifier 2!
Thank you! I always bring up Rog!
Brad and Doug are turning into Gandalfs before our very eyes
Brad I love your Channel! You always make me laugh =D
I'm digging the gray. Your age looks good on you!
Joel’s actor told Wes that no black man would sit around during this. Wes asked what he would do. He said he would get a cab and GTFO. Wes appreciated it
@nickxero2740 seriously. There’s a segment with either the actor or Wes on the trilogy retrospective about it.
I saw the fathom event screening and when the boyfriend left I got up and left to put on my Ghostface mask and came back with the mask and brown leather jacket on when Ghostface did and a black lady in the theater was like “aw mah lawd!!!” 😂
You know, they are doing a Crystal Lake series. Laurie Metcalf would make an incredible Mrs. Voorhees🤔
I had totally forgotten about that Dewey intro music and thought it was a gag haha
You missed the 25th anniversary last December!!!
I'm surprised you didn't make the joke "hmm....you're not Buffy! Buffy would have landed on her feet!!!"
There are so many familiar faces that you even could've done more jokes with them. Just like Liev Schreiber in X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009), Sidney's best friend Haley, played by Elise Neal, happens to be also in another Wolverine solo movie, Logan (2017), twenty years later. 9:23 Dawnie, played by Marisol Nicols, happens to be in Spiral: From the Book of Saw (2021). A Saw joke. Endless possibilities.
The college used for the film is my alma mater...a historical women's college! It was very much a peaceful campus. No Laurie Metcalf type murderers that I knew of hehe
Amazing video of scream 2 cinemasnob, fantastic job.
Broken Arrow reference. Nice👍 Thats a great movie.
David Warner was in so many awesome movies: Straw Dogs, The Omen, Cross of Iron, Time Bandits, Concorde: Airport 79, Time After Time, Tron, The Man With Two Brains, The Company of Wolves, Star Trek V and VI, Teenage Mutant Nija Turtles 2: The Secret of the Ooze, In The Mouth Of Madness, Titanic, Scream 2, Black Death and Mary Poppins Returns
Robert Rodriguez directed the Stab scenes
Film students having the coldest takes in history is very very real
5 people have already died in this room already
😂😂😂😂😂
Scary Movie 1 made it a lot harder to take the first 2 Scream movies seriously
BUT WAIT! THERE'S MORE!
But the first 2 Scream movie are clever genre parodies in their own way, unlike Scary Movie which is just puke.
So if you review the scream tv series eventually would we have to call you the Television Snob? Or Cinema Snob Still? Or both? 🤔
Maybe he could revive Binge Watch for it.
I recently watched the Scream tv series. I enjoyed it. At least the first 2 seasons. Season 3, not so much.
I've read about other Castle gimmicks, but not the one for "Homicidal" - thanks!
Matthew lillard was in scream 2 guy at party it was an uncredited role
I really liked Scream the TV show shame it died so early on.
I know. I recently watched it and enjoyed it.
It's such a shame they decided to do a whole new story for Season 3 rather than finishing off the Lakewood story.
@@JacobCMayer yep.
My friend, actor, Michael O’Leary is in Fatal Games! He was also in Halloween Ends (as the doctor).
I love how they just give everyone full ghostface costumes at the theater for free like they're a buck 50 or something.
Please do a video for "Arsenic and Old Lace" (1944). I actually really like that movie, but am looking forward to the Snob's comments
Oh definitely that's one of my favorite Screwball Comedies dark but fun.
House 2 is one of my favorite movies.
Can't wait for that 'Back 2 tha Hood' review next week!
Lol that "pranks" trailer
Facts snob 😂😂 Raj was a true hero 😂 in night of the demons 😂
Oh nice another video.
Wait that was scary movie? I thought it was the sweetest thing😮
Ah, finally!!
Was the theater in this movie better or worse than the showing you went to for the bye bye man?
Depends on if anyone in the Stab audience screamed "WHAT’S GOING ONNNN?!" during the climax 😆
Fun Fact:
Michie Tomizawa - the voice actress
of Rei Hino aka Sailor Mars in the OG *Sailor Moon* anime series - voiced Jada Pinkett Smith in the Japanese dub of *SCREAM 2.*
It's a fact for sure....but I don't think it's that fun or exciting 🤷
Hey, Maureen, Ben from both versions of 'Night of the Living Dead', Peter from 'Dawn of the Dead', John from 'Day of the Dead', Reggie the Reckless, Roger from 'Night of the Demons', Benny from 'Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3', Fool from 'People Under the Stairs', and Candyman would like to gang-smack you for not realizing they exist:/ Way to go for Cotton getting his arc, and he seriously did NOT have to save her!
Great Cruel Intentions joke!
Scream 2 what, finish your sentence, what am I screaming 2? Lol
Scream 2: How Jada got her hair back
Thank you for pointing out that some characters are bad at seeing. This brings to mind the dude in Terrifier 2 taking a leak when he gets stabbed in the junk.
Mickey actually lives, and then moves to Santa Clarita, where he marries Casey Becker, who came back to life as a Zombie.
3:19 wow that is awesome hope to do something like that someday
What got me mad was none of the sorority sisters, didn’t get killed, you know which ones I’m talking about.
Thumbnail goes hard
I enjoyed all the Broken Arrow jokes
That Would've been Dope if the Black Guy sitting Next To Joshua Jackson mentioned the Sequel to Sleepaway Camp 2 after Joshua mentioned House 2 The 2nd Story, cause That's the movie the Black Guy was in & some people really don't know that...After he mentioned House 2 he could've said that's like saying Sleepaway Camp 2 was Better than the 1st one, that could've been a nice lil reference to his movie Lol
What do you mean "Cant remember the name"? Billy Loomis is the most memorable name of them all
I am glad this is finally out of purgatory.
There's me getting angry about "where's my Snob, this ain't my Snob?" Then some Snob. More Snob, dammit!!!
Congrats, you went through this movie and hinting the next movie without mentioning Columbine once.
For those who don't know, Scream 2 was one of the many things they blamed Columbine on while Wes was making Scream 3.
6:50 see, if you would do "deep murder" like i keep commenting about, you could make a reference to that whenever jerry o connell is in stuff
Can't wait until you get to Scream 3. :P
The setting of the movie isn’t the future, it’s the present, meaning that 2 year jump makes Scream take place in 1995. The marquee at the beginning of the film shows that the date of the Preview screening of Stab takes place on Monday April 12, 1997.
In scream 2 they pull a reverse Voorhees' storyline that could be technically foreshadowed by Drew Barrymore character getting that question wrong...
I love this movie, it's a great college horror movie like the first was a great high school horror movie. Overall my favorite in the series. I would say check out the MTV series just cause they try something different even if it didn't work out.
Forgot some of the future stars in this.
master p: Scream UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGH
i remember renting this from hollywood video
