      You also have to take into account the previous damage Shishido sustained at the construction site, fighting Tsuruno, Kiryu and Watase, not to mention the finisher he took: a fall several stories high. Judging from his mucky clothes and bloodied face, Shishido probably got out of the ditch without anyone s help and was too determined to bother treating his wounds.
      Despite the injuries, Shishido still held off Majima's attack, unbothered of being stabbed through the hand. He stalled Saejima, perhaps the only character surpassing Kiryu in raw power, with the guard of a sword THAT HE ISNT EVEN USED TO (He picked Nishitani's sword.) Oh yea, he also shrugs off a kick by Kiryu and doesnt even keel over despite his injuries.
      Then uh, cue the boss fight. Countless falls Shishido took, but he soldiered on. Went through glass multiple times, no care given. Still has the stamina to wield his blade and punch despite the hand injury. The brawl was basically a room tour of Omi HQ, that s how durable he was

    Gonna be seeing a lot of parallels between Aizawa and Shishido in the fandom I'm betting. Both of these men are beasts who go against the old guard and try to take control from them. Aizawa just shows up home to trash it and wait for Kiryu at the top all cleaned up with a fancy suit, he's very much in a position at the top to take it all but that was all given to him, the power and position he found himself in was given to him by someone else.
    Shishido had to show up home all dirtied and batted up to clean up house after it was trashed for him, everything he worked for was taken away by the old guard, he had to crawl his way up to the top one last time to get a shot at Kiryu, he's in there the whole game working with you and trying to find a way to stop the pan because all the struggles he's been through and everything he's earned would have been for nothing, he earned his shot against the old guard.
    The fight also plays out incredibly similarly, both of these guys have the largest health bars in the series and all progress the same, an initial class at the peak of the organization's power with the chairman's seat going into a brutal fall onto the main lobby and followed by an explosive exit towards the courtyards of their organization.

    Average Yakuza fan: "Man Aizawa was a fun fight and all the symbolism of fighting throughout the headquarters of a Yakuza family as you push them further and further from their dream is great, I just wish he was an actual character with reasons to be the final boss"
    Shishido: "Heard, and take this absolutely metal boss theme while you're at it"
    Fucking GOAT

      But can they really contain him? Considering that Kiryu easily beat the Daidoji goons and Shishido was in a very bad condition before the last fight, along with him not having children that can be take hostage, I'm not so sure

    39:00 Yoshimura snatching Shishido is a sad example of a snake biting his tail. Shishido was born a slave, he was given freedom by the Watase family only to later resist the dissolution plan, but is now enslaved by the Daidoji afterwards. From being a slave to a Japanese Yakuza organisation to being the slave of the Japanese deep state, there was no good ending for him.

    • @deviljho4260
      @deviljho4260 Před 6 měsíci +6

      In some capacity it was probably deserved for guys like Shishido and Nishitani III. They’re probably being brainwashed in some Daidoji facility right now.

    • @GreekArmyVeteran95
      @GreekArmyVeteran95 Před 6 měsíci +1

      @@deviljho4260 the irony here it is that he was a slave to Nishitani III a priori. Now you will tell me that it is better that the Daidoji control him than Nishitani III. I will agree. But he will feel like a caged animal in a zoo. The Daidoji are rather insidious and cruel for an intelligence agency but then again, they are more of a deep state organisation

      @GnosisZX Před 6 měsíci

      I doubt daidouji can tame those two no weaknesses unlike kiryu shishido went through torture no government could hope to match and nishtani if he honors the name will never submit hell they both rather die and probably will or they bust out since no daidouji agents could possibly hold them hell they couldn’t hold kiryu without the kids
