      The meaning is not appropriate. There's no grammatical rule in Ashtādhyāyī that can explain this. He's basically saying र+मा is राम, (अ+आ=आ). But the rule can not be applied here. Because there is a consonant in the middle (म्). The word that र and मा will form is रमा (ramā). It means Lakshmi (लक्ष्मी) the goddess of fortune. Rāma means beautiful (Ramaniya). Usually Sanskrit nouns are adjectives/attributes of a person/a thing. So Rāma is also an adjective.
      What he did is similar to what leftist media does every single day.
      This is very similar to what British education system did to our traditional knowledges.
      He created a narrative out of the blue.
      This is never expected from him. I am totally fed up.

      @@yt.tathagatachakrabortythey lack basic understanding of Sanskrit , and follow the habits of their native languages , all Dravidian languages follow this. Actually its not their fault , sanskrit has a special character :(visargh) , which is used after after every noun verb etc. All the languages including English which did not had this special character , they substitute it with 'A' . But what they do not understand is , in Sanskrit putting 'A' at the end of any Noun changes its Gender, putting 'A' in the end makes it feminine gender. So the word is supposed to "Ramah" visargh is sound "ah" and they call it "Rama" which is feminine gender. Just lack of basic Sanskrit knowledge and native language habits. Putting 'A' in the end is only allowed at the time of 'Sandhi' which means when adjoining with another word , like 'Ramayanah' . So the correct pronunciations are Ramam, Ramah, Ram but not Rama thats the word for 'Devi'. There are so many proofs of it from Valmiki Ramayan till now , but they dont want to research it. An Essay could be written on this topic, in fact many have already written.

    • @yt.tathagatachakraborty
      @yt.tathagatachakraborty Před rokem

      @@chaldawal mostly correct, but i guess you've missed my point by a bit. Actually the word we get after the sandhi of Ra (र) & Maa (मा) is Ramaa (रमा) not Raama (राम). Raama (राम). The word without हलांत is also, without a doubt, the correct pronounciation of the word and even more close to the root word. But the point is we are getting Ramaa (रमा as in “रमाकंठहारं श्रुतिव्रातसारं जलांतरविहारं धराभारहारं” - Shri Hari Stotram) not Raama (राम as in रामचंद्र) after connecting Ra (र) and Maa (मा).

    • @chaldawal
      @chaldawal Před rokem

      @@yt.tathagatachakraborty that’s because of English spelling Rama , where we perceive ma with double aa and Ra as single a , the English pronunciation of spelling Ram will be like the computer memory we use 😅 correct English should be Raam , but without visargh that is this : meaning the “ah” or “uh” sound even Hindi version राम is partially correct and रामा or रमा are all incorrect. The absolutely correct pronunciation is Raamah or रामः except only if sandhi is not being done as in राम - आयना: then Raama or रामा is correct

    Very thankful to learn this or gain such knowledge....Ram naam Satya hai I never even had curiosity to know the meaning until watching your video...and one thing brother you mentioned that Shri means Mata or Laxmi ma or Sita ma then the one that we use before our names Shri to male and Smt to female does it have another meaning or we are using it wrong.....just came to mind😅

    • @6666shashank
      @6666shashank Před rokem +5

      Shri we put in front of our names means prosperity or greatness. So, as mentioned in the video, every dhatu or root word has different meanings in different contexts. To further clarify this we use Shrimaan (prosperous male) and shrimati (prosperous female).

      The root for the name *राम, कृष्ण, राधा रास* is the same. It is *रस*
      The Rig Ved describes it as *रसो वै स:*

    It's a nice video, i understood the meaning, but the main thing is why that name is given to Prabhu Sree Rama. There are many avatars of vishnu, mahadev, then why only prabhu sree rama got that name sree rama?

    I never knew the deeper meaning of Sri Rama. The image of Sri Rama is what would always come to mind, and hearing his name and seeing his image feels me full of great emotions. I chant the name Ram, and even just after a few times
    saying his name, I become full of energy. I love Lord Sri Ram ❤
