Great!! Or anything with a monster flair. Or maybe the Polar Lights "monster rods" re-releases. I would gladly send you one of the kits. Let me know & keep the builds coming. Thanks Doug.
Thanks for making this video, if it wasn't for this video I probably wouldn't have gotten this kit. As of right now, this is my favorite model kit. I made a video of mine.
I agree with you on the "kit review"! I can take the parts out of the box and look at them myself, although it may help me decide beforehand if I even want to bother with the kit based on the amount of detail. If I like your build, I'll duplicate it. If not, I'll at least take some tips from it. In the case of this build, I would have gone with the 4 cylinder engine, but only because I'm a stock freak! I just love old stuff the way it came from the factory! Detroit used to put out some weird stuff! Another home run!
So i am guessing that it came from ford with the straight four? Was there a aftermarket tuning company stuffing 351 engines in them or was this being done by back yard mechanics? Do know how many were sold with this really rare graphics option?
Joe - I don't remember any of them having factory installed V-8's. I Don't know how many were sold. That may have been a mega-dealer option package. -Doug
JM, Both motors come un-assembled. You choose either the 4 or 8 cylinder engine. PS - please subscribe if you haven't already to help us reach more modelers. -Doug
@@RightOnReplicas I've subscribe to your channel a while back ago I love your reviews & builds I've been doing model kits since I was 14 I'll be 44 in July I lower my kits & put custom rims on them I did the 1/25 scale cruising Ford van and the rescue van the red one just did the pinto im into & was raised in the lowrider culture my whole life it's in my blood I just enjoy seeing others projects keep them videos coming & I'll keep watching
Shame this came as a stick shift the AMT version is a coupe with the automatic that kit would've been great with the 351 option and automatic and maybe a roll cage
@@RightOnReplicas If you saw a few of my early childhood attempts you'd think differently. Good lord, I was bad. Slap them together with library paste, paint them with a a basting brush and play with them like toys til they broke.
Really like the way you present your video. Concise, yet detailed. This kit really brings back memories of the real car.
UT - Thanks, I loved these as real cars too! -Doug
Been ages since I've seen a Ford Pinto! Now I have to build this kit!!
MB, yeah, they're kind of rare these days. Have fun! -Doug
I remember this beautiful Pinto. Awesome job 💯👍💙
Mike, Thanks - good time, good times! -Doug
Looks great! nice to see that you gave the grill a "Black Wash". Not many people do that and a solid chrome grill doesn't always look right.
MAD - We throw some quick tips in to help out! -Doug
Nice one, Doug. Agreed this one is great subject matter.
CJM - I always liked them myself! -Doug
Not something you see everyday! I like those white letter tires! Thanks Doug..........
Mike - That's one advantage that Round2 have going for them! -Doug

nice....those MPC kits were sooo kool
You got that right RJ! -Doug

This model kit of the Ford Pinto wagon is almost an 80s classic.
Mike, Thanks for watching and please subscribe if you haven't already to help us reach more modelers! -Doug
Muito legal.
I knew someone who had one of these .... it was SOOO COOL! wanted one really bad, but couldn't find one ( I got my D/L in 1983 )
I only saw a few of them but they were cool! -Doug
Right On Replicas I only saw the one, and was hooked. .. I ended up with a 73 Vega instead of the Pinto, but they still have a big place in my memory
Vega's were cool too Rick, especially the Cosworth Vega. That could have been developed into a wild street machine! -Doug
Right On Replicas - yeah I love Vega's
Big fan on these how to videos. Would really "dig" a how to on AMT GRAVEYARD DUO. Wutcha think?
Ronnie - I might be able to fit one of those into the rotation. -Doug
I couldn’t imagine the real thing with a 351. Would be an insanely fast car.
LLG, Yeah buddy! -Doug
drove one down the dragstrip once when I was in high school. scared the heck out of me.
I can't find any information on real version of the 1979 ford pinto pony express?
Joe - It was a pretty rare special graphics version of the Ford Pinto Cruising Wagon. -Doug
So i am guessing that it came from ford with the straight four? Was there a aftermarket tuning company stuffing 351 engines in them or was this being done by back yard mechanics? Do know how many were sold with this really rare graphics option?

1979 Ford Pinto came with a 2.3 litre straight-4 engine as standard equipment, 2.8 litre V-6 engine was optional in 1979.
Haven’t build an MPC since the 70’s.
O, thankfully they're still available for our enjoyment! -Doug
My mom used to own a ford pinto station wagon that looked like ford painted it school bus yellow.
JD, Whoa, you couldn't miss that coming! Doug
The engine that comes with the kit that's already assembled can you put that inside of the pinto instead of building the one that comes with it
JM, Both motors come un-assembled. You choose either the 4 or 8 cylinder engine. PS - please subscribe if you haven't already to help us reach more modelers. -Doug

My parents had a silver one until I wrecked it
CC, Sorry to hear that! -Doug
You know what they say if you rear end a Pinto,Doug ?.......
Boom.
Charlie - If you hit one of these you would say, "I hope I've got enough insurance"! -Doug
I'd build it but I'm too afraid
it would explode.
