She wasn't alone, everyone was faking it to a canned track. The haegeum player had his fingers wrapped around the chord to deaden the sound and the bugle players lips were closed when he blew into the horn. Plus, none of the choir had any microphones.
Yeah, they lipped the performance, but it wasn't a Sohyang's choice, neither performers. It is the national sports tv policy simply because none of them has equipment to air live that delivers all the instruments together. Also, all Olympic and National sports demands lip sync for singers. So any Olympic performance from the singers in history were all lip singing pretty much so keep that in mind.
I think it's pretty sure that she sang it live because her mouth shape matched with the vocal so well. However, I also felt that her pitches were amazingly at the point and sounds are so clear. Maybe her condition was perfect today 😅 I don't know the answer neither 🤷♂️
looks obviously lipped, wrong mouth shape and timing in many places BUT it’s a thing she rarely did so I’m surprised that it was kinda good in many parts Edit: also this songs were much more difficult to lip than Here as one from 2018, the timing and phrasing here was more complex
@@Yeorri101 I'm pretty sure they just put a prerecorded track as some of her phrases/runs when you look at her mouth don't match the sound. I kind of expected it tbh. The Olympics 2018 was the same situation as this if you remember
