I think SCS should work on Anti Aliasing because it’s still not so good in ultra too.

I turn off the Antialiasing and the lag's gone.

I am surely grateful to God for getting me a better PC, a few years ago I played on low, now I can play on ultra (with a 1050 Ti).

I play completely disable and low and low resolution with an i3 8th and UHD 620 at 20 fps :(
Sadly I can only play Low, 15 fps with render problems, where im eaitin like 2-3 Minutes until the world is loaded, only to drive like 10 minutes to wait again.
Btw. Sometimes some cars and barriers dont load, so im crashin into them.
Especially stupid helicopter instanly spawn without any warn about 1-2km in highway

My wish is that one day this engine will handle more lifelike vegetation. Even on ultra settings some trees and vegetation still look 2D. It's a bit hard getting back into ETS2/ATS after playing SnowRunner on ultra, but then again that's a much more recent game 😃

@@eriktriandafilu9282 I've been using Grimes' seasonal mods for the past few years, combined with editing the env_data.sii file in order to have the correct sun position at all times. I might give Fael's a try soon as well.
Maybe ETS3 will never come until the entire Europe is unlocked

Since the release of 1.41 have noticed small changes in vegetation , but agree with Adrian have come across what looks like 2D trees & plants and sure over time the SCS improvements will be huge , as for the Ultra settings i could never go back to what i used several years ago now , the reflection detail of truck , water, shadows , weather , and vegetation makes game so more intresting and life like , there getting there
Excellent video, always good to comparisons. Its like all sims - smoothness and FPS is a higher priority than overall look, I'm running at high preset on a good setup (i12900K & 3080ti with triple 50" screens) and its ok but borderline at times.
Turn on shadows in low graphics. It makes a lot of difference
But it does take a bit more computing power for potatoes.
This is meant to show the bare minimum

playing medium-high settings 1280x720 on my core I3 laptop with integrated gpu, can't believe how optimized ETS2 is.

I wish play sometimes on ultra settings with stabile frames because now I play on lowest medium 10fps-20fps and the experience is not like on ultra.

I really, the euro truck should be seen in the best quality to have a better gaming experience but really not all of us have a superior pc.
i usually play on ultra ( not preset, custom settings and everything set to the maximum possible setting ), the game looks pretty beautiful but its sometimes visible that trees and other wildlife are, like, 2D.

ets2 graphics is getting nuts for good! i gotta get new gaming laptop since my old one couldnt run it with ultra graphics anymore unlike before i can achieve atleast 25-50fps on ultra graphics.
Well, I guess that the crime rate would rise with low graphics at night...

Just a suggestion Toast: it could be interesting to see in the future a video for graphics comparison for native Ultra vs streaming Ultra, cause nowadays, Scs game can be playable on cloud gaming services like Nvidia Geforce Now, or cloud gaming computers like Paperspace,Maximum Settings, Shadow, Amazon Web services and so on.

Nice video, can anyone tell me how to control shimmering line(jaggies line) in ultra setting? I am using high end pc but still getting AA issue so I am using NPI setting..
I can't afford a very high performance gaming PC, and I play ets2 on medium graphics only, but it's still pretty good
I do appreciate that a modern game has such a level of.. Optimization? That it can sorta be turned into a ps2/3 game while still functioning as it should.
Also bumps up the playability of the game, as your litteral potato could still play it
i play on low graphics but i edited the settings a little bit to stop seeing those pixels and using shadows.

Only difference is the saturation between low and ultra and the transition plus the focus of the image , i play on high settings with everything ultra and its double ultra than ultra standard ❤
I play on medium but it’s at quite a low frame rate so sometimes I play on low to make it smooth… don’t even ask what graphics card I have, it’s an HP Elitebook G3 laptop 😂

I play at Low Settings and am getting around 50 FPS (I did alot of tweaks and patience to get 50 FPS) Man I wish if I can experience Ultra for once on 60 FPS

um dia vc consegue mano, eu tb nunca imaginava q um dia eu ia ter um puta pc foda q roda ets no ultra com g27, todos os mapas pagos e etc, mas um dia chegou a oportunidade, boa sorte na jornada do pc
Ultra is just a completely nextlevel graphic even when compared to High. And when you also rump up the settings from the Ultra preset - damn is it real life?

I always play in ultra low lowest of the low graphics but still it lags and after update1.32 it lags and switches off i can't even enjoy the new updates😓

It's a bit of a hindrance for you to enjoy Euro Truck Simulator 2.
