I can now see the option to Automatically start replay buffer when streaming, it's under Settings -> General -> Output.
This video is VERY much appreciated! I'm pretty new to streaming and OBS and my current setup requires me to use one laptop for content and stream. Your custom stream res settings have helped me immensely. Subbed!
Great video bro. I have been watching OBS videos on CZcams for 2 days trying to find tips and tricks and your video had lots of stuff I had not yet seen. Well done.
To go along with the scene nesting, you can do the same to groups. Apply the filter to the group and it won't screw up the original source. So, I always put my webcam in a group even if its the only item in the group so that I can add filters to the webcam without screwing it up in other scenes.
AND AND (you’re really gonna like this one lmao) source mirror. Makes an EXACT clone of whatever you’re mirroring without effecting the original source. So it effectively removes nesting (didn’t know about it at the time I made the video haha)
This was really helpful
Glad I could help!
@@P1xelPerfect Yo.. thats kinda crazy. Ive watched John Campea talk movies for years. To see him comment on your video is pretty damn surreal.

20:51 There actually is an option to automatically start replay buffer when streaming. You can find it in "Output" settings tab. Great video btw :D
Excellent video. LOVED the crop hack! By the way, it's the Option key on a Mac; Alt key on a PC.
Cropping is something I was looking for a long time. Thanks, man!
This was way more helpful than I can describe! THANK YOU
Thanks!
Already knew some of those tricks, but learned many!
As a CZcams streamer with not too many high quality options for clipping, the replay buffer tip is a game changer. Great video!
This was freaking awesome. Thank you.
This was super helpful and had so many features I didn't know about
Awesome info, cheers for making this. The Auto start replay Buffer (when streaming) is now in the general tab of version 27.1.3 Thinking of mapping it to a spare mouse button for quicker response time, as I have reflex speed of roadkill. Nice tutorial and info. Thanks again. Oh I just checked... it was already there look at 5:55 its in the general tab under the output section
Nice tutorial, thanks! FYI: you can add filters to Source Groups, easier than adding to a scene. I use groups for my cams and stuff, and then I can crop and filter and whatever on different scenes and they won't affect each other.
OMG you are so awesome. Im just started streaming a week ago and this is one on a bunch of videos i really get pure and clean information. Thanks.
Thank you for this very informative and thorough video.
Very helpful videos and shortcuts that I didn’t knew about.
This was great! I didn't realize that "Connect Account" gave you so much more (Twitch integration) than just using the stream key. I wish they'd made that clear when doing the setup so I had these features weeks ago. :)
Thank you! Cropping of the Webcam source is what I've looked for.

Excellent, helpful video and channel. Subbed! Quick question. Do you know how people do those live "drawn colored arrows" when showing a specific detail on their screen? I have seen several people able to do this... perfect horizontal or vertical (or 45-degree angle) arrow... I'm dying to know how to do that. It would help a lot with future tutorials I plan on doing. Thank you very much!
