Its not even that. Humans sleep for what? 1/3rd of their lifespans? Beerus sleeping for 50 years is a blip in his lifespan its the equivalent of you nodding off at your desk. It probably takes hundreds or even thousands of years for beerus to actually feel rested. Not to mention he manages things on a cosmic level so he would probably only need to balance out the universe every few thousand years.
The reason they run like that is because they're actually more energetic and more intelligent that people give them credit for. They watch and learn that between 2 and 3 am is the best time to do that without being stopped right away. Play with them or give them some structures to climb and just be cats. But this is only if you didn't have them fixed.

He is one of the 3 Gods Bramha (creator), Vishnu(Maintener/keeps balance in world), Shiva (Destroyer/making was for new beginning when the world is disbalanced or its life is conplete)... Shiva doesn't nap, he gets into Samadhi (long term meditation state of absolute silence). As a Hindu it felt really interesting when I watched DBS first time.😊
