I don't think I have ever left a comment, although I watch all your videos and enjoy them tremendously. I battled breast cancer 14 years ago, and lung cancer two years ago. Both times I had very close family members advise me to put art making aside and concentrate on healing. They didn't understand that making art was so very helpful in the healing process. Despite your comment that your video making encourages you to make art, I strongly encourage you to create whenever you feel like it. Yes, forget about the videos. We will be here whenever you feel up to putting videos together. But for your own healing process, creating art will bring you joy and help both your mind and body heal. With your positive outlook on life, I am sure you will overcome the challenges you face. Thank you so much for providing inspiration to all of us.
I have had 2 masectomy's, and life is terrific and my art thrills my life. I am sending you hugs and love, I understand please use me as a sounding board if needed. Your art is out of the box and so intuitive, it teaches us to go beyond what others do and be free and original. Thank you for that. Hugs and blessings for the joy you've brought me. I am sending you my vey best, positive wishes. I had a masectomy when I was 49 , with Radiation afterwards as the cancer was contained. I am now 70 years young and still clear. My Mum and 3 of my maternal Aunts also had breast cancer although none of us have the problematic gene. My Mum, (aged 93) one of my Aunts (age 87) and I are still kicking and my other two Aunts passed away with different illnesses at advanced ages. Breast Cancer is no longer a death sentence and can be treated very successfully. My Husband has been my rock and my art has been a very large part of my life. Other than the physical discomfort for awhile after surgery the thing to remember is that it is only a speed bump in our life and our body heals. WE are in control of our mental well being. Your beautiful art will blossom even more so with the things you will learn from your upcoming journey. Your positive attitude will get you through, and, you will find greater knowledge about yourself in the time to come. Keep smiling and I look forward to seeing your videos when you feel ready. Dear Gaynor, I know you'll receive many caring and supportive emails, and others stories of cancer, but I'd like to add a brief version of mine. I was diagnosed 5 years ago, had a right-side mastectomy, and no further treatment. Two years later another lump, same side, had two more surgeries and follow up radiation therapy. strange to say, the process was not terrible, and throughout all I felt resilient and after the initial healing, active. I am currently very well and will be 80 years old later this year. I play tennis three times a week. I love life and I LOVE ART! I painted and drew whenever I felt like it. After my diagnosis I did a painting of me cradling my breast lovingly. Lots and lots of love to you. Through your lovely, inspiring personality and videos you have created quite a following and you deserve all the thanks and love coming your way. Take care of yourself, and I know your lovely husband will do likewise. Thank you Gaynor, and bless you ❤

Gaynor, a couple of years ago my husband of 40 years died very suddenly and unexpectedly. To give myself something to focus on I got all my old painting things out. I am just a hobby painter nothing professional. I then found your channel and I can honestly honestly say that unbeknownst to you, you and your beautiful artwork have helped me through more than you will ever be able to understand. Art or any form of creativity is extremely therapeutic and I hope in the coming weeks you will find the same comfort in your artwork as you have given me. I just started watching your videos and wish I could have met you as I was in London a couple weeks ago you are my inspiration. My daughter passed away after a five year battle (ovarion cancer). You are a shining light… I went through this 3 years ago and several months later I was setting up a new space from a move and coming around to being myself again… I picture you smiling in a hospital bed for a few days, with good pain meds as they are, and blind drawing some flowers on your nearby table with pencils and pen! First off, sending you much love, stay positive and keep painting even if you don’t feel like sharing with us. It’s a huge assault on your mind and body and I loved how Rocket just understood. The collage flower paintings are gorgeous, sometimes when you suddenly put on great swathes of white paint it’s nerve wracking but I’ve had to learn to trust your superior knowledge! Similarly the harsh edges of the first paper bag left me wondering how they could possibly fit into the lightness of the flowers, but of course it turned out wonderful and the last two paintings really captured the flowers beautifully. 🇿🇦 Dee ❤

I am 83 and living with a chronic illness that had me believing that I had limited time left, 25 years ago. Painting was my salvation. I wish I hadn't wasted a moment expecting the worst to happen. Your lovely enthusiasm helped me measurably and of course I want your videos to continue BUT please paint when it suits you and share when you want to. We all feel genuine affection and admiration for you.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2011, grade 3. I had surgery, chemo and radiotherapy and recovered. I found Breast Cancer Care very helpful and highly recommend them. Don't beat yourself up if you sometimes feel not as positive as you would like, it's a gruelling journey but you are up to it. There will be ups and downs, just accept them and carry on. Much love Gaynor. Your recovery will be aided so much by your wonderful positive personality. Let’s hope you get back to your art ‘therapy’ soon to spur on your recovery even more. If you’re out of action for a bit here’s a flower experiment - keep your flowers until they dry out ! I keep my anniversary flowers from September until the following spring - it drives hubby bonkers! But, watch the colour changes - rose leaves turn a lovely eucalyptus grey green, the heads tilt down into a shy pose and the pinks turn burgundy. Obviously it’s best with woodier stems. Even the dropped leaves turn into gorgeous crinkly shapes. AND the colours and shapes keep changing over the weeks. Use a concertina to sketch the changes as the time passes. Great fun. I don't think I have ever left a comment, although I watch all your videos and enjoy them tremendously. I battled breast cancer 14 years ago, and lung cancer two years ago. Both times I had very close family members advise me to put art making aside and concentrate on healing. They didn't understand that making art was so very helpful in the healing process. Despite your comment that your video making encourages you to make art, I strongly encourage you to create whenever you feel like it. Yes, forget about the videos. We will be here whenever you feel up to putting videos together. But for your own healing process, creating art will bring you joy and help both your mind and body heal. With your positive outlook on life, I am sure you will overcome the challenges you face. Thank you so much for providing inspiration to all of us.
I have had 2 masectomy's, and life is terrific and my art thrills my life. I am sending you hugs and love, I understand please use me as a sounding board if needed. Your art is out of the box and so intuitive, it teaches us to go beyond what others do and be free and original. Thank you for that. Hugs and blessings for the joy you've brought me. Yes, you’re artistic journey and insights are truly remarkable, but being a remarkable person it’s to be expected(?). Thinking of you always brings a smile to my face. That positive energy is so infectious!❤
I am sending you my vey best, positive wishes. I had a masectomy when I was 49 , with Radiation afterwards as the cancer was contained. I am now 70 years young and still clear. My Mum and 3 of my maternal Aunts also had breast cancer although none of us have the problematic gene. My Mum, (aged 93) one of my Aunts (age 87) and I are still kicking and my other two Aunts passed away with different illnesses at advanced ages. Breast Cancer is no longer a death sentence and can be treated very successfully. My Husband has been my rock and my art has been a very large part of my life. Other than the physical discomfort for awhile after surgery the thing to remember is that it is only a speed bump in our life and our body heals. WE are in control of our mental well being. Your beautiful art will blossom even more so with the things you will learn from your upcoming journey. Your positive attitude will get you through, and, you will find greater knowledge about yourself in the time to come. Keep smiling and I look forward to seeing your videos when you feel ready. Dear Gaynor, I know you'll receive many caring and supportive emails, and others stories of cancer, but I'd like to add a brief version of mine. I was diagnosed 5 years ago, had a right-side mastectomy, and no further treatment. Two years later another lump, same side, had two more surgeries and follow up radiation therapy. strange to say, the process was not terrible, and throughout all I felt resilient and after the initial healing, active. I am currently very well and will be 80 years old later this year. I play tennis three times a week. I love life and I LOVE ART! I painted and drew whenever I felt like it. After my diagnosis I did a painting of me cradling my breast lovingly. Lots and lots of love to you. Through your lovely, inspiring personality and videos you have created quite a following and you deserve all the thanks and love coming your way. Take care of yourself, and I know your lovely husband will do likewise. Thank you Gaynor, and bless you ❤

I am just a hobby painter nothing professional. I then found your channel and I can honestly honestly say that unbeknownst to you, you and your beautiful artwork have helped me through more than you will ever be able to understand. I just started watching your videos and wish I could have met you as I was in London a couple weeks ago you are my inspiration. My daughter passed away after a five year battle (ovarion cancer). You are a shining light… I went through this 3 years ago and several months later I was setting up a new space from a move and coming around to being myself again… I picture you smiling in a hospital bed for a few days, with good pain meds as they are, and blind drawing some flowers on your nearby table with pencils and pen! The collage flower paintings are gorgeous, sometimes when you suddenly put on great swathes of white paint it’s nerve wracking but I’ve had to learn to trust your superior knowledge! Similarly the harsh edges of the first paper bag left me wondering how they could possibly fit into the lightness of the flowers, but of course it turned out wonderful and the last two paintings really captured the flowers beautifully. 🇿🇦 Dee ❤

I am 83 and living with a chronic illness that had me believing that I had limited time left, 25 years ago. Painting was my salvation. I wish I hadn't wasted a moment expecting the worst to happen. Your lovely enthusiasm helped me measurably and of course I want your videos to continue BUT please paint when it suits you and share when you want to. We all feel genuine affection and admiration for you.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2011, grade 3. I had surgery, chemo and radiotherapy and recovered. I found Breast Cancer Care very helpful and highly recommend them. Don't beat yourself up if you sometimes feel not as positive as you would like, it's a gruelling journey but you are up to it. There will be ups and downs, just accept them and carry on. Please know we love you so very, very much and our hearts are with you every moment of every day.

Darling Gaynor, you are only responsible to yourself. Whatever that will mean moment to moment. You will keep going. And every one of us will be here whenever you pop in. A world of hugs and light and energy surrounds you. I think they have soap crayons for your bathing entertainment and to ease the itch to keep art close. You will feel different because women we made to weather all sorts of changes. You will be even more of yourself, more determined, more enthusiastic, more humorous, more beautiful every day you open your eyes to a new color, a new type of brush stroke, a new way of seeing light and shadow. I am sure if all your viewer friends were invited to be there with you we’d all come to circle you with love. However I do not think England is has enough room for the lot of us. Dear Gaynor, I am sorry to hear about your mastectomy. I got breast cancer 3 years ago. I still struggle with my energy levels. But being creative is very helpful. Take it easy. Listen to what you and your body need. Take your time. Sometimes it helped for me, just to draw a little monster… no need to force anything… I am sending big hugs and wish you all the best. Heal well… and I will see you here when you feel up to it… big thank you for all the inspiration you gave here. ❤️

Oh Gayner ❤ a scary time for you and your family. You must take all the time you need to recover. Please trust your surgeon and nurses they have such skill. You'll have Nurse Rocket too, dogs are so wonderful at picking up our feelings ❤

Much love Gaynor. Your recovery will be aided so much by your wonderful positive personality. Let’s hope you get back to your art ‘therapy’ soon to spur on your recovery even more. If you’re out of action for a bit here’s a flower experiment - keep your flowers until they dry out ! I keep my anniversary flowers from September until the following spring - it drives hubby bonkers! But, watch the colour changes - rose leaves turn a lovely eucalyptus grey green, the heads tilt down into a shy pose and the pinks turn burgundy. Obviously it’s best with woodier stems. Even the dropped leaves turn into gorgeous crinkly shapes. AND the colours and shapes keep changing over the weeks. Use a concertina to sketch the changes as the time passes. Great fun.
