My art/creative life - a short weekly video showing all the things that feed my art life ! I am a mixed media artist working in the South East of England. I have a Fine Art Degree and continually take courses that offer a new approach and keep my mind open to fresh ideas. The Art2Life programme really boosted my output and CZcams is a great platform to share my enthusiasm for getting creative. I hope to inspire and encourage with an emphasis on having some fun while you develop your unique art style.

I love your videos. I'll miss you while you are away and will be thinking of you - and probably watching some repeats! Thank you for letting us know what's happening, especially as it's so deeply personal and vulnerable. I have tears in my eyes, you feel like a friend although we have never actually met, other than through your CZcams channel. Get well soon and I hope you can return to your painting before too long. Sending love and all best wishes. Christine x
Wishing you love and a speedy recovery Gaynor. Take time for you, we will all miss you and be here when you feel up to sharing your lovely self with us again xx
Gaynor. I’ve written to you on Instagram, but not here. I told you then how much inspiration you give me. Your art is beautiful. Your videos are a great comfort to me. I was diagnosed as terminal straight away. They missed my breast cancer all together. So I’m very glad to hear you’re being taken care of. I trust you will be up and making videos very quickly because that’s who you are. I often don’t have the energy to make art, but when I do it gives me so much pleasure and have become prolific. A lot of that is because you. Thank you. Go well dear woman.❤
Healing wishes to you. 🎉take time to be you. Don’t worry about us. We will be here when you are ready to share again. ❤
Wishing you so much luck with the op and recovery. Positive vibes coming your way x
Wishing you a speedy recovery. I have no doubt your positivity, creativity, freshness and enthusiasm will carry you through! You are an inspirational teacher. Many thanks for all your videos. See you soon ☺️🌞
Wonderful blooms this week Gaynor! Sending you positive energy for your next steps. We’ll all be thinking of you and & wish you a speedy recovery!
Dear Gaynor, your art videos are an inspiration and have motivated me to get back to painting after a long absence. You have a wonderful work ethic and I can see you are passionate about your painting. I too have had to deal with similar health issues and know the benefits of healing through art. I wish you a good and speedy recovery. Give yourself the time and space to recover and I , like so many others, will be here to support you on your return. A big hug from me xx
Oh dear…I am so sorry that those dang mutations found our best friend and mentor! I am an addict to your channel since I found you on CZcams. If you need to be off for awhile, it’s okay we will all be here when you are able to come back to us. Reading all the comments, I see that I’m not alone in believing how important your work is to us, and to the art ‘world.’ This crazy internet thing presents us with something unique and special sometimes-a person and artist like yourself. I wish we could all give back to you, what you have given to us. You are blessed with a very loving and supportive(it shows) husband, Craig-Rocket who just always wants to be by your side and your daughter who I’m sure loves you to bits-they will be there for you to lean on and help you through the next difficult weeks. We can’t be there except in spirit, but in spirit we WILL be there too, to remind you how much we truly care for you and your well being. I respect you as a fine artist who has so much to contribute and is so articulate about the art and creative process. Hey, you could write a book…all the right words are there in your video history. Okay I’m, what do you say? Blathering on, and on…so I’ll stop. I cherish my 2 small works of yours, the buddies, hanging on my wall and will be thinking about you now with even more reverence. Big hug and❤
Dear Gaynor, I am so sorry to hear your news. But your positivity and enthusiasm for life that shines through in every video will most certainly aid in your recovery. We will be thinking of you and will be here when you are ready.
All the very best healing vibes in the world to you🤕 Take all the time you need🕰 We will be here when you return. Warm heartfelt hugs.
I’m sure your positivity won’t leave you. Your spirit is strong and beautiful. I had a mastectomy 24 years ago. I was given a 70% chance of surviving for 4 years. But that’s statistics and I made my mind up to change everything about my life. Number one was nutrition. Obviously. We are what we eat! We know so much more about what feeds cancer nowadays. You will discover what is best for you. I was alone with Two children to bring up and self employed so I never stopped. I used to reach The Artist’s Way and in fact took my class the day after I left hospital. I felt amazing after the mastectomy. It felt as if all the cancer had gone. I had determination and so much energy. But I did refuse chemo and only had two doses of radiation. My choice. I took tamoxifen for seven years. No trace of cancer since. I’m 76 and starting a new adventure travelling round the country selling my son’s jewellery. Life is wonderful. I don’t know your details of course. I’ve learned that positivity and most of all gratitude are absolutely key. Please do contact me anytime about anything if you feel the need. It’s such a shock to get the diagnosis. Now comes the journey. Xxx
I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2011, grade 3. I had surgery, chemo and radiotherapy and recovered. I found Breast Cancer Care very helpful and highly recommend them. Don't beat yourself up if you sometimes feel not as positive as you would like, it's a gruelling journey but you are up to it. There will be ups and downs, just accept them and carry on. Sending much love.
Green juice Recipe Ingredients * g (2 large handfuls) kale * 30 g (a large handful) rocket * 5 g (a very small handful) flat leaf parsley * 5 g (a very small handful) lovage leaves (optional) * large stalks green celery, including leaves * half a medium green apple * half a lemon, juiced * tsp. matcha green tea * You can add ginger ….I also add some a couple of carrots. * * You can peel the lemon and put it through the juicer as well, but we find it much easier to simply squeeze the lemon by hand into the juice. By this stage, you should have around 250ml of juice in total, perhaps slightly more. * It is only when the juice is made and ready to serve that you add the matcha green tea. Pour a small amount of the juice into a glass, then add the matcha and stir vigorously with a fork or teaspoon. We only use matcha in the first two drinks of the day as it contains moderate amounts of caffeine (the same content as a normal cup of tea). For people not used to it, it may keep them awake if drunk late. * Once the matcha is dissolved add the remainder of the juice. Give it a final stir, then your juice is ready to drink. Feel free to top up with plain water, according to taste.
Oh Gosh Gaynor, SO….sorry to hear what you’ve been going through 😟 and you’ve still been putting up your videos, Gosh! 😳 A lot of people have been having success starving the cancer…certain foods feed it and certain foods starve it. Juicing with organic veg is SO healing. The Sirt diet green juice recipe is Amazing, whenever I have it, it gives me such a lift, a real pick-me-up for the body. Kale, celery, flat leaf parsley, green apple, rocket, lemon and good quality matcha powder. I also put some carrots in it. I will try and find the actual recipe. Also give a link to this Amazing doctor who is so knowledgeable in fighting cancer. My mother had bowel cancer, had the operation to remove it but didn’t want chemotherapy. She juiced for two years and was really careful with her diet….organic and no pesticides. It hasn’t come back, Yay! Must be about 10 years ago now. This is the route my mother went down but she was a nurse and knew what she was doing and was very positive about it. I will go and hunt out those links. Also the flower paintings are lovely! Can’t believe you did four…what a treat! 🙏 ❤️❤️❤️ Take all the time you need to get better…..your health comes First!! We all LOVE you SO Much! 💕💕💕💕🌸🌸🌸🌸⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💐💐💐💐💕💕💕💕

Dear Gaynor: this is my first comment. I've been watching you for a bit now. I thoroughly enjoy your enthusiasm and love of making art look easy and fun. I do appreciate your sense of color as well. Your announcement brought tears to my eyes and I want to express my deepest well wishes and speedy recovery to you. Keep your strength up. Stay positive. Imagine a time when you will feel better and back to your old self. I worked in the Breast center doing mammograms and it always struck me and I questioned why cancer happened mostly to the nicest, sweetest people. Hurry back to us...
The aubergines are gorgeous - what a lovely subject! I look forward to checking out those books. Men really can think the world revolves around them - good for Katy Hessel!
Each floral painting is so different, yet the same group of flowers. Fantastic. Prayers for your speedy recovery, and clean report!
Gaynor, praying for your complete healing and recovery. Your audience friends love you and wish you the best. Your attitude and spirit and personality are precious and lovely and we will miss you while you take a respite. God bless and much love. Linda XOXO
Prayers for a speedy recovery! I look forward to your return to CZcams!
Oh Gaynor, your cards are amazing. I'm not surprised you sold 60 cards. I started trying some of my own, and they look like a bunch of blobs but I know it's just a matter of keeping on practising until I catch onto something. Even the one that you wonder whether it's redeemable looks like a great start, and of course I KNOW you will transform it. I think it's great to make the cards, have no record of them, and just let them go out into the world! Such a lesson in letting go! And wow - your landscapes are so fresh and happy. I hope you at least have a mini artbox nearby to dabble in when you are recuperating. 💝
🙏🏻💐❤
I love the flower paintings!❤❤❤❤ thank you for sharing, see you soon ❤❤❤
Every woman is with you as you go through this difficult time. It can be physically and emotional exhausting so no need to push yourself. You may just want to share your experiences and that's all right. Just to see your smiling face will be great! and remember you will always be a beautiful woman!
It may sound crazy to say but I just love you & will be praying for your surgery & recovery. May God grant you peace & comfort thru it all.
Gaynor, your vibrancy and willingness to be yourself while sharing your artistic journey is what drew me in. I found your videos more than a year ago and have looked forward to the next one each Thursday. Sometimes, I even stay up late (California time zone) to watch as soon as it's released. Your joy in the process motivated me to restart my exploration of art after losing my husband. Thank you for being such an inspiration. I sincerely wish you strength, peace, and clear health. As you can tell, you have a lot of us pulling for you! ❤
I’m in California too, and it’s after midnight, but I had to have my Gaynor ‘fix’ to spur me on later today. Yes, you’re artistic journey and insights are truly remarkable, but being a remarkable person it’s to be expected(?). Thinking of you always brings a smile to my face. That positive energy is so infectious!❤
Sending light and love for a full recovery!!!!!!!!!! Please know we will hold you in our hearts while you take whatever time you need to care for yourself as you heal. Big hugs xo
I and many others will be thinking of you, Gaynor. M xx PS: The three florals on the large white paper look perfect just the way they are! A real expression of the summer season. Be well, M xxx
Prayers.
Your lovely flower paintings are truly an inspiration, and I love how you encourage us to keep letting go and be loose! The first painting with the brown collage paper is fabulous - I think perhaps because it's so spacious and loose. Those collage shapes turned out to be really quite amazing! I, too, think you shouldn't touch it other than perhaps I might put a little bit of lighter contrast in the pink. I believe art matters because it is where we can be as self-expressed as we want, create from who we truly are, and just let it all out from the inside. The way you express yourself so vibrantly - your loving and exuberant spirit - really comes out in your art, and that lovely positive sharing way you have will get you through your surgery - along with all our good wishes and thoughts and prayers. You have given so much to us through your channel - thank you thank you thank you from the bottom of my heart for that - and may we give back by sending love, healing energy and prayers for a speedy recovery. We'll be here whenever you feel ready, even if it's just a little hello to let us know how you're doing. Healing hugs from Canada! We love you!
Gaynor -- I have looked forward to your Thursday videos for some time now. Until you recover and start posting again, I will send prayers to you on Thursdays in thankgiving for your generous spirit that you have so kindly shared with us on this channel. I hope you can feel the love expressed here in the comments section and let it lift you up on the hard days. You certainly have lifted us up in so many ways. Hugs and hope for a full recovery!
I look forward to watching more of your inspiring art-making.
