- Collecting CDs is great so long as you can find what you want to listen to and know where everything is. In this video I answer some of your questions about how I organise my CD collection.

I'm not quite as serious about managing my cds and records. I simply bought alphabetized dividers for both cds and records. I don't worry about cronological order...all Beatles are togerher (part of the "B" section) all Led Zepplin is together (in the "L" section) etc..

I started putting my CDs now in Discogs (finished the vinyl) ... and sometimes thinking about taking over their system: sorting from the first letter on. Normally I sort John Mayer under M, but they do under J ... weird at first but makes it simple. The Darkness, The Heavy would be T ... seen some sort with ignoring "The" ...
Just put the unsorted CDs in Discogs, already 145, now going over to the wall 😅
I'd like to know how you choose what to listen to. Do you ever work through the collection one at a time, alphabetically, for example. I do that from time to time though it does get challenging!
I have at least 1,500 cd's, 500 vinyl LP's and 200 Cassettes. Are they organized?
Well the Classical section is, but that's about as far as it goes. The other 80 percent isn't.
I tried organizing the cd's by colour once, but it didn't quite work out.
how many cds u have overall ?
In total about 1200 or so, and maybe 100 LP's and a few cassettes. It's far from the biggest collection out there but it's growing!
