The History of Alert Ready

- Hey all! This is a switch up from my usual videos, but here we are. Quebec and Yukon were excluded, due to sparse results in English. I would've translated for all the French-Canadians out there, but it's pretty meh.
(My horrible translation)
So Oilberta basically invented the Canadian EAS and the rest of the country was just like "yeah, this is pretty good. We should use this nationwide."
What blows my mind is that Canada never really had a National alert system until Alert Ready became a thing
Did you just call Alberta fucking Oilberta
@@jamessaleem7966 Lol, you've never heard that one before?
@@blackhawks81H I have only lived in Canada for less than a year lol
Oilberta. As an Albertan I get it a lot! 😂
1:04 "The following emergency bulletin may affect your area, listen carefully"
*Starts playing the bagpipes*
I like how the CityTV JumboTron at 16:36 copies the same thing we're seeing.
AEA came before Alert Ready, and it’s the reason the Alert Ready tone sounds like the AEA tone.
Earth came before Shrek. That's why he's green
@@Bagel_Le_Stinky that's funny. but still Earth did not come before Shrek
The fact that my grandma still has a cable TV in the first time this happened is when I was sleeping inside my grandpa’s room by myself and then it just came up on TV and I was really curious when it just started I got shook
14:54 What the announcer really wanted to say: "Alright, enough of that bullshit, now lets get back to the show."

wtf is with alberta and wildfires
@@Bonkerlawl alberta has a dry climate and is prone to heatwaves. These are conditions set up for wildfires especially in the summer. Wildfires in BC are often the same.
HOW SHIT FUDGE THIS IS?!@@tyleringram7883
Quebec actually does have English Alert Ready alerts. Every time I hear an amber alert, it starts in English and finishes in French.
2:52 sounds like an old Mercedes airbag warning
2:50 IS PERFECT TIME LOOOOOL
16:36 isn’t it funny how the eas matches up with the one playing on the tv in the background?
@FluffyBoi YT Ohhhhhh but that’s still cool.😅
Yukon had a alert ready back in last year on a radio station for an active shooter, you can update this one and add the Yukon one there
I’ve thought of updating this for a while, so yea I’ll do rhat
It appears that you should never push her back 2:50
As a Canadian I can say this is true:
Amber Alert: ÆÆÆËËË ÆÆÆËËË ÆÆÆËËË
Tornado Watch: ÆÆÆËËË ÆÆÆËËË ÆÆÆËËË
Nukes: ÆÆÆËËË ÆÆÆËËË ÆÆÆËËË
If your canadian and dont relate, your fake.
WAIT WHAT? YALL GET NUKED (or am i just stupid)
@@FelixNevarez-ee7yxbasically it's just the sound of every alert
8:42 I got an emergency alert around that time
This was the first ever alert I saw on The Tv Not on CZcams 😂
i wish i recorded the emergency alert system test i got on my tv in mid 2020
It’s all fun and games until the alarm doesn’t stop
10:18 that's Dave, from the US EAS
I hear phone vibrating in British Columbia
heyy i know you didn’t include the quebec ones but where can i find them? i’m trying to start an alternate channel with eas stuff :p
0:49 Is The best then Text
I love the tone of New Brunswick at 13:18 so 😎
There actually is a Québec EAS alert that’s in English. It’s the test from May 7th 2015 the same day the Ontario 2015 test of May was done
Was the alberta emergency public warning system only in alberta or was it in the entire country?
2:42 " I know sounds kind of weird "
Yes,surely it does
Wish this function would go back under the rock it came from.
YOU CAN DISABLE IT IF YOUR ANDROID. please read and share... you replace the default Text messaging app and block notifications for that specific default text app, then Install it's replacement "google messages" it works by bypassing "com android.cellbroadcast receiver"
This is cool
The 2016 Manitoba alert used Dave as it’s voice! Do the different voices correspond to the level of urgency of the alert?
Not anymore. They all use the same voice for every alert, no matter the urgency. It's been replaced with a female voice.
@@McPikeVHS >:0 they fired Dave?????
@@somedude5422 might have. I don’t know what Canada is on about these days
It’s my eas alarm!
would you try to make an australian one next?
I'm not sure if all the states in Australia have one as kangaroos outnumber humans in a few states
@@hibernomapping8120 in that case, I’ll get working on it after I release EAS history 2022
Imagine if your PS5 or Xbox Series S/X can get Alert Ready/EAS messages lol
Would be a good way to get messages out these days tbh
Wow, interesting so Canada one and two and event and emergency alert system like the US. I never knew that! 6:31
Hello! I'm making a video about fake and real EAS alarms from all over the world and I was just wondering, can I use parts of this video and credit you for it? Thanks!
