My father was in Italy in the war and he loved it, Always talked about the beauty of Italy and of course the wonderful cheese. I love Seafood also so this is a great recipe for me.

When we were done , she started throwing all the leftovers in the trash. this was about 12 yrs ago & I am still mortified. We Italians would NEVER! Also this is a fab dish :) So delicious !Thank U !

I did two tours in South Korea between 1976 and 1980 and the best food I had came from street stands and the restaurants the size of a small shack. On my first tour I was closer to the sea than I was on my second which was on the southeast side of Seoul. Eating in small restaurants enabled me to watch the cooks and learn. There are some things my wife won't eat unless I cook it and I think she's a better cook. The best meals can be the simplest.
The dish you are cooking looks so delicious. You put pasta directly from the boiling pan to the frying pan with ingredients. The authentic Italian pasta dish seems to do it. I am a japanese and like Italian dishes very much. I now learned from you how to cook seafood pasta, spaghetti, linguini and other pasta. Thank you. I like cooking very much.

A couple of comments: 1, I, too, like the way she opens the pasta pkg. 2, If I were to eat this I would be very sick as I'm allergic to Calimari and Scallops. 3, I'm watching her cook up the oil, garlic & tomatoes and all of a sudden I can smell it cooking. Figure that one out. Oakland 2020
For cooking use ordinary olive oil which is cheaper and not so powerful in flavour. For drizzling over salad etc then use the more expensive extra virgin olive oil. Extra virgin olive oil should also not be used for cooking because at high temperatures it causes high cholesterol. So buy a smaller bottle of extra virgin olive oil and a larger bottle of ordinary olive oil. It's worth buying a good quality extra virgin oil. I am from the UK and of Greek descent so I always buy a good quality Greek extra virgin olive oil. Oil from the Pelaponese or from Crete is really good. They've been growing olives there for 3000 years!

Pasta al dente takes about 6 minutes! Seafood is really quick! Rule in seafood is quickly cook at completely over cook!

Good olive oil is hard to find at a value price for those on a budget. Love it.
$5 for a quart bottle; for cooking you don't need that high a quality.
