This sounds so much better than their older sound. Just such a tighter sound with this one song than anything else the released, in my opinion. I liked their old sound somewhat, but it always felt like there was something missing. With this song they found that missing element for sure.

The first time I heard this was a couple weeks ago in a packed little record shop. Dan asked us to put our phones away and to just be present when we heard it for the first time. I barely had my phone out the entire show. I just let the music wash over me and it was absolutely one of the best shows I've been to.

I think it could mean a lot of things. I took from it in the way I need/ed it, but I think it also means something else. Have you listened to Kyle Fasel's spoken word? You must! It's on his account called kylefaselisdead. Taking from his poetry there as background for the song and my life rn - I would have to say the song explains that they know the person they are in love with that they're hurting them. I know that I'm hurting my loved one, "I'm paralyzed with guilt" but I can't help it. I know you need more warmth than what I can give you but I don't know how to give you that. I'm nothing like you thought I was, I'm someone else to you but I always was that person, you had the "rose colored glasses" about me and youre just finally taking the glasses off. I'm trying to say that I'm not slipping away in my love for you, I'm just dealing with my demons that just need to be in past rather than me bringing up the old wounds. I love you but it's hard with the past creeping up on me, I'm not trying to hurt you, but I guess that's what I'm doing anyway.
