    Just put this on my 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 4X4 SLT this morning and man what a difference especially in low range.
    Acceleration from start is much quicker.
    Already had the cold air induction but now the engine sounds powerful and tuned.
    Now a dynotune and custom exhaust system.

    I bought the 90mm tb and it was making a gnarly whistling sound because the stock intake manifold is to small for the 90mm tb. If anything your losing power because the air is not passing through the chamber smoothly its actually choking it. I called them and they told me to get the 85mm tb and I even have a custom 93 octane diablo tune, ripp coil packs, new plugs, mopar cold air intake, stainless works redline exhaust system, and a sonnax line booster for the trans plus catch can. It sounded cool no doubt but no gains from it. Atleast I didn't feel anything anyway.

    WoW that’s interesting BBK actually steered me away from the 90mm and told me to get the 85mm instead. They said the 90 would require a tune. I have a K&N cold air intake, upgraded plugs and wires, MSD coil packs, stage 2 Jets chip all running on 93 octane fuel also add a throttle body spacer. Everyone says I should get a tune done on it but I’m just not sure because now I want the 90.

    • @johnburks1004
      @johnburks1004 Před 3 lety +1

      If your going to tune go 90 and you may think about the tinest increase in injectors... just a thought

    • @antoniomarc7174
      @antoniomarc7174 Před 3 lety

      @@johnburks1004 yeah I was thinking about injectors but was not sure about them without getting a tune. I was also wondering about the top end could handle more fuel and air considering I have no internal work done to it. I was thinking cams as well. Anyhow I like playing around with the smaller things and seeing how the truck responds for a 2004 and having it all its life that truck is a lot of fun.

    Are you sure that hemi hat resonator actually slid over the throttle body like that? Only reason I ask is because I have the 85mm version on an 05 just like this and there is no way to properly seat the hat on with the larger diameter tb. That donut seal is supposed to be put on the throttle body first then slip the resonator over it but all it does is push the sealfurther back on the tb and never actually presses into the outlet of the hat. It works great with my Airaid intake tube but sounds god awful without the hat so I kept the stock hat and tube and put the stock tb back. I might try it again but like I said, it seems impossible to get it sealed up properly.

    " It actually reuses the 4 factory bolts." Not true do not believe this. Where the bolts go through the bbk throttle body it is about half an inch thinner than the stock. So your bolts will go straight through and into the plastic behind the throttle body if you try to tighten it. At least it is on my 2007 dodge ram 1500. Glad I noticed it hitting the plastic instead of keep tightening the bolt.

    I have a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 5.7l automatic 2 wheel drive. I’m using the BBK 85 throttle body with a spacer. I’m also running a cold air intake MSD coil packs and wires with NGK plugs also running a stage 1 Jet chip. What I can’t understand is why the throttle control or TPS APPS Bellcrank pedal want keep the pedal position sometimes I have to turn the key without starting and push the pedal 3 times and then wait 10 seconds and hold the pedal down once I complete that it runs perfectly. Could you give me any tips on what I can do to resolve this.
