This celebrated tune played by Bunk Johnson and George Lewis band members at the Preservation Hall in New Orleans. Perhaps Papa Bue and his band members learnt it from going there, as did Ken Colyer from London who jumped ship to get there from Southhampton to get to play with them, or from that recording or ( was it his composition ? , having to return to the U.K. to spread the gospel of that music in Soho?

Any idea who wrote the tune and lyrics for this Going Home? Dvorak/Fisher is NOT the answer. Did Ken Collier have anything to do with the tune? Nothing on the internet as far as I can see. Many thanks in advance.

I believe Ken wrote it, after watching at an interview with Colyer by the BBC on his return on CZcams in the seventies ?, see my public comment
