  • These things are horrifying. As heard in the video, they break down super often, they shake a ton, and they do NOT feel safe when travelling at top speed.

    The glass elevators at the Westin Saint Francis Hotel in San Francisco give off a similar vibe. They were modernized around 2009/2010 and got a speed increase. My last visit to those elevators in 2019 was unsettling. They just feel scary now.

    Jeez! That is some crazy-a** speed for 64 floors for an apartment building built in 1960s with very low ceiling height

    Same, At my 32 story apartment, There is 3 hyundai elevators. They shake so much when going up and down, I'm not sure what is problem, but i heard some weird sounds on the elevator pit when the elevator is moving. Or the problem is that this elevator doesn't use compensation cables for 32 floors so it started shaking like crazy.

    Even modded, these still seem fun. ALL fast elevators ran like these when I was a kid in the late 70s/early 80s... except many weren't smooth like these. 😁

    61 floors? Holy cow! That’s creepy. It’s very rare for a ThyssenKrupp. I like how the indicator is sort of out of sync in the main elevator. I also like the original bell indicators, the voice, the service elevators serving the missing floors, and the two express zones in the main elevator.

    The shape of the passenger elevators cab is the same to the glass elevators at Dizengoff Center shopping mall in downtown Tel Aviv.

  • @SuwareiElevatorCorporation

    Canadian buttons for these amazing elevators.

  • @ElevatingArizonaByGageWilliams

    I think the reason why it was shaking is because it has a flat spot on one of the wheels

    Are the accelerating and deccelerating faster than a normal 1200 fpm elevator? Normaly its 8 second to accelerate and deccelerate. Here it is 6 seconds?

      I live in The Netherlands. Our fastest elevator was 1600 fpm in a office building. 4 Kone elevators travelled 270 feet. They are now reduced to 1200 fpm. Its now 22 second to the top floor. By 1600 fpm only 20 seconds!

    Elevators work via data input. When you enter the down lift tell it want floor you want. If you mess around, as you did, another person could order a lift in a different direction. As you had not pressed any button, the lift answered the other call. Also, electricity can not travel any faster if you repeatedly press the button. Once pressed and illuminated, your request has been activated. Your actions only made you appear foolish.

    • @SPS8elevatorsoflakecounty
      @SPS8elevatorsoflakecounty  Před rokem +3

      I did push the button, but it ignored my selection for whatever reason and went down. As for me pushing the button repeatedly, I do it out of nothing more than habit. If I appear foolish to some stranger on the internet, so be it
