I’ve used it like potatoes with roast beef and as apples in a keto apple crisp. You are indeed correct that the Chocho (chayote) takes on the flavor of what it is cooking in. Thanks for your effort. Darlington, South Carolina

Loved your video instruction. You covered all the basis. I now know how versatile chocho is in cooking.
I would have never known that it could be used in salads or that it’s mild and takes on the flavors of your soup.
You made me smile while educating me. Your a terrific teacher.
My daughter is ten years old and loves to cook. I’m going to show her your video and make Jamaican soup with her.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

Thanks I grew this vegetable on my 20 story balcony facing the Southwest up in Vancouver Canada and it was not part of the program but it was in its own part and it all the sudden one day was just there. I'm sad this day because it fell off as I was looking at it but it gave me a chance to try it to peel it to cut it and It was still a fair size like probably a Mandarin Orange size I also read the health benefits and Enjoy your video very much thank you!

Choko here in Australia. I thought my neighbour from India would be very familiar with this fruit I have growing over his fence but he'd never seen it. The plant can take reasonably hot weather but should we get 40'C + days with burning sun it will kill the plant. Once summer is over and autumn arrives it grows a metre every few days and covers everywhere it can climb. A fantastic plant to grow and will easily get four years of productive life from one.
