  • The wiring harness on this Triumph was a mess after the accident, but there is a technique to organizing the cables all tucked away inside the headlight housing. The fuel pump also needs to be swapped over to the new tank, so it's time to replace the gasket as well. If you were ever curious how to install a Bonneville fuel pump or just want to know more about how it works, look no further!

Why are absolute madmen allowed to assemble motorycyclers? I don't remember doing half of this. Still, 2200 miles later and I haven't blown up yet.

It looks like it's coming together nicely. I can't wait to see, and hear, the exhaust. I know it's been a while since the accident, but I wanted to ask, how are you doing Dave? All healed up? Any lingering issues related to the accident?

I'm doing alright. Where they put the plate and screws on my right collarbone is still sore at times and the actual incision site has no feeling at all. Ankle acts up too, not sure all the bones and ligaments are really in the right place... Oh well, that's life!

Glad to hear that you're doing alright. The collarbone soreness, from what I understand about that procedure, may be a long term thing. But hey, that's what beer is for, right? My right ankle and foot got pretty thoroughly destroyed many years ago, and did not heal correctly, so I feel your pain there. Stretching and low-impact workout routines seem to help with that...as well as the occasional beer/wine/whiskey. Keep up the good work. Hope to see this bike, and you on the open road someday soon.

For the record, I saw Mike's analytics page today and it still says 100% male viewership... Sure you aren't hiding something?
