    Enjoyed and learned as usual. The color of the evening sky a little after 14 minutes in is incredible. TIGHT LINES ALL

    I’ve been having fun with all the shallow bluegill the last few weeks too. The ponds in town are full of them and fun to chase from the canoe. Zman tiny tickler on a 1/30 micro shroomz just hammers them!!

      Nice! I’ll have to check out that bait

      @@AnglerX I fish a lot of zman. I prefer the action and durability over standard plastics. Just don’t mix them with plastasol baits😉

    Great video once again. I know that area well. I noticed you anchored. That's probably a key versus trying to spot-lock in a shallow area.

      @AnglerX  Před 3 měsíci +1

      The anchor is better in the weeds. Spot lock tends to clog up the prop with weeds

    Gills are a blast. They fight like crazy. Great video

      They are little spinning tornadoes.

    Sunnies here crappies gone perch scattered. I usually have a hard time locating thém in rivers.

      Rivers present different challenges. Fish locations change more in rivers. You have to always be searching.

    What's that up in front of your boat?..coiled up on the spool?..

    • @AnglerX
      @AnglerX  Před 3 měsíci +1

      An old anchor. When I’m in thick weeds the anchor works better than the spot lock

      @AnglerX , I'm slowly getting used to my boat; it's nice having spot lock, but sometimes using a good ole anchor works best..

    Try a fly rod and popper or just a black gnat fly.

    • @AnglerX
      @AnglerX  Před 3 měsíci

      That is a great way to get them! As of now I don’t own a fly rod.

    I've read that in order to retain a population of big bluegills you've gotta let the good ones(9+") go......no matter what time of the year.....do you think that opinion is true on a vast body of water such as the river?

    • @AnglerX
      @AnglerX  Před 2 měsíci

      Yes! I am a firm believer in this thinking.
