The suits as spence called them aka Haymon and showtime wanted him to fight Thurman and move to 154. Crawford was never in Al haymons plans, spence admitted it to crawford back in 2018.

Nebraska has had Bud’s back from the beginning. Omaha has been on his trunks for every fight that I’ve ever seen. It’s awesome to see the world recognize what I’ve been watching for years. He’s one of the best to ever lace up the gloves. The complete boxer, with the hard work, the dog inside him, and the gentleman in public. Such a good man.

Bud won me over - humble, well spoken. I was such a big Spence fan, now I'm a fan of both.
It's crazy how Bud is now getting all the respect he should of been getting just for beating up a popular guy who was never on his level. Smh. Spence fans would always respond with a butthurt response because they couldn't handle someone feeling their guy was inferior....they learned though. And they just went to making excuses
Seriously and nothing against he's been a great fighter and a top champion but from the jump when Errol turned pro he was getting a push from the network and had video packages and stuff before his debut because he was a Olympian. Where as bud didn't even fight on TV till his 12th pro fight and had to take fights on short notice and work his way to the top

Facts to everything you said, the Prescott fight was my first fight seeing Bud Crawford live, I was in Houston on vacation and I saw him fight on HBO and been a fan since, and now I’ve tuned in to every interview since the Spence fight and I’m happy to see him get his shine

From growing up in my grandparents house i been watching TBC to this day ain miss 1 fight from the first time seeing hom fight i been a fan ever since
Bud is such a special fighter. I picked him but like most folks I thought it would be close. He certainly could have ended it sooner in retrospect, but he knows how dangerous Spence is. There was no reason to take unnecessary risks, the knockout was inevitable.
I’m %100 a Spence fan. He still my favorite fighter after the fight but seeing Crawford get his flowers gives me a great feeling. This man deserves everything that’s coming to him. Great fighter. Great champion. Great man. Can’t wait for Spence to get back.
Victor I feel you being Spence fan,and I respect You for that,but in all honesty Errol the truth Spence jr have no bitness trying to have a rematch with bud Crawford,the results will be the same or Even worse for him, don't get me wrong,Errol is without any doubts a great fighter,but compared to TBC he is not at his level,so I don't see any point in a rematch with that in mind, Errol should take some time off and them come back to fight someone other than Bud....
