Hey I'm famous lol my name is Eugene and they stopped by my reservation Kluskus Lake BC and that was my gramps he was interview we we're glad to hear you guys made it I was thinking those pour nedo's made it alive or dead in our back woods me and a few of my native friends we're loughing about anyways now I know you guys are alive now how are things please I'm interested in seeing. Or hearing about the rest of ur trip
What's so great is that, regardless of the hardship you were going through, you never compromised on continuing to film. It must have been incredibly tedious and time consuming to do so during those times when you were just strung out wasted tired, but you did so anyway. Bravo gentlemen. Job well done!
30:38 That is amazing. Roll up to the Fishing Camp Like, Yea we just Cleared your Rear Access Road.
Bravo bravo!! Standing ovation!!
'Wearing pants might have prevented the injury'.. That is true. Also, using the attached safety strap would have helped too ;) Sorry, had to be that guy. I always get clowned on because I take the extra second to use that strap, but that was a perfect example of why it's important. Also important is using it correctly. Many will just run their hand through it, kinda like a lanyard or bracelet. This doesn't help much as you can still lose control and have a machete flinging around all over. The way it's instructed to be used has you running the strap back over the handle. You grab the machete like normal and pull the strap up over your hand, locking it to your hand. Works like a champ!
Love your videos, really inspiring stuff! Now time to put some overland gear on the Forester... ;)
Most amazing expedition ever! Binge watched all 12 episodes!
BoomerE30 Same here!!!!!!!
BoomerE30 Started late yesterday afternoon.
Keith Brettell BoomerE30 I'm about to start on the central america series. :D
+Chris Williams ... Me too! ;-)
serious real good
WHY IS THIS NOT ON NAT GEO?????????? Such a great series. I felt like I was on that trip with you guys.. I learned so much watching. Online ordering a list of crap you guys ended up needing (Wheel studs, Puncture Plug Kits, etc) I'm a pretty hardcore fan of Jeeps in General, but I'm very impressed with how well that Land Cruiser (and Tacoma) got through all that terrain. There were times when I was thinking "oh man, that's it.. gonna get stuck" and nope, got through. Those water crossings took some HUGE balls because there's no way you guys could know if there was low water then a flood ...could have made some deep channels!!! Truly impressed felllas (and ladies) I hope to see more videos in the near future!! Meanwhile I'll be prepping my 13' Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland for some similar expeditions. Side Note: I have a spot for you guys to look into for some future practice trips in Southern Utah, pretty gnarly terrain! I visit Montana a few times a year to explore but most fish the Big Hole River Valley...you guys live in awesome country!
This can't be on a major network because it doesn't have all the artificial interpersonal drama-bullshit that is required for a major network to pick up a reality show. And yet this is why I loved the video series. It wasn't artificial, it wasn't purpose built for brain dead masses, it was authentic and genuine and brilliant.
rogue109 It's a shame though for this crew, because they would get a lot of viewers on national TV. They do such a great job, love all the editing and choices of footage used.
all the best series for anything is on youtube, such as Mighty Car Mods's "Lend us a ride" series, the reason stuff like this are the best is because they dont have some corporate moron telling them they cant do anything
I want to let yall know that these videos made me want to overland and just go on those adventures. Thank you for doing this.
The hug at 44:44.... Damn, I have laugh more than I should have haha !! I really liked your show, thank you for the great time !
Can you guys please do an overview of the Toyota's? Would really like to see how they held up :-)
Great show! Thanks for posting.
Best episode yet! Lumberjacks
Absolutly amazing series must be the best one yet.
Many, many thanks !
Came for the gear and stayed for the adventure. It was so enjoyable that I powered through all 12 episodes in one sitting. Damn fine job!
Thanks for producing this series. It is a great story, motivating, and inspiring.
Absolutely inspirational........
What a quality production. Likeable characters + superb footage + solid editing = Gripping videos.
I really enjoyed how the whole group pulled together and that the production wasn't Survivorized. No drama just regular folks getting out there and adventuring. Regular folks getting experience along the way. Making mistakes and learning from them. Again that was fantastic. I expect to see your next adventure series on the discovery channel at some point.
Whew, those vehicles took an impressive beating, with so much of that constant wear and tear.
We should be paying to watch a masterclass like this. Should be up on any of the OTT platforms for sure.
Fantastic adventure! Bravo!
Thanks guys it been great following you along this journey! Thank you
You guys have to do more videos. I am hooked for life!
Honestly, I don't even see how heavily funded networks didn't grasp something like what you guys pulled off. You found adventure in every detail from the people you've met, the environment you've encountered, overcoming obstacles with vehicle/gear and especially amongst each other and yourselves. Fantastic Series in content, cinematography and editing.
I'm in the SE and every summer I watch this for the visual comfort of the nice and cold snow to escape the heat
One of the best series I have watched in a long time.
This is the best series I have watched on CZcams and better than most things on TV. Thank you for making this!
Excellent series. Thanks for sharing your experience.
I am moved by this. I am planning to get my boys together and do something along these lines. We are all in our 40s now and used to adventure regularly. Life has taken over and the wild spirit that once ruled our hearts is all but a smoldering ember. Thank you for the wakening. You guys have done an awesome job with this video. Maybe we will see you guys out there one of these days.
Thanks for sharing this amazing video series with us. This is way better than the crap on TV nowadays.
+Michael Eldridge Thumbs up! This is what reality TV should be. Not the scripted fake crap that it is.
Just shared this over on STIHL USA FB page in hopes they will show your story there and help with your future Expeditions. Hopefully it will also gain your channel some new followers, views, comments and shares. Good Luck on your future travels and I cant wait to see the next line up. Now how about a blooper reel from this series?!?!?!?
One of the very best of CZcams ever, guys,it is an amazing treat to be able to follow you on your route through mud, mozzies and water. Camerawork is outstanding and the story is gripping, the team members interesting and easy to like. Thanks, guys and gals, I am so grateful! Tons of greetings from Sweden!
Agreed! Just stumbled upon this and I binged the entire season. Great work fellas!
Oh my! Exhilarating series. Fantastic group of people here. Very inspirational.
Thank you!
The narrator makes the episode much more vivid.
Mackenzie must have been much larger than life, you guys did the next best thing. I am really impressed.
Good work, guys. This series just seemed...normal. A nice change from today's typical reality TV.
Thanks for all you have done and contributed to the world of 4WD exploration! I am going to get a mosquito net tomorrow!!!
Well guys, GREAT episode. Rachel and I are sad to see your episodes are over but have enjoyed go along your journey. I hope you guys have plans for another trip and seasons soon! Thanks!
Every couple years I'll go back to the roots of XO and watch everything from start to finish. Never. Gets. Old. Helps get the curiosity juices flowing again when life becomes hectic and routine. #XOfanboi
I really enjoyed the entire series. The last two episodes were especially great. Very inspiring. You have fuelled my imagination! I lie in bed thinking of what my adventure will be. I hope that Expedition Overland remains a viable endeavour for as long as you'd like it to be.
Thanks Neil!
After watching the Central American series and the South American series, I can honestly say that this is my favorite series by far. The crew has come a long way since this expedition. My question is this: What's next for XO? Australia? Russia? Who knows. I'll be sure to chime in. Now onto binge the South American series again.
What an Adventure! Great Stuff guys!
I've never had a series consume me so much as this expedition, top quality work and an adventure of a lifetime ! Now hurry up and make another series :D
Thank you all for sharing your adventure. Very well done.
I enjoyed every minute of every episode. This series needs to be picked up by one of the networks.
You guys were pretty well prepared for that trip-but it shows that an expedition like that is no joke! Its hard for people in the 'civilized' world to realize that in remote country like that you are one missed turn, injury or breakdown away from never being seen again. Thanks for sharing!
Just superb ❤
Amazing adventure guys.... Hats off to you all... this gives me the inspiration to begin with a small adventure with my buddies and experience the freedom and exhilaration. Great work guys.
happy and sad that this is over, for now. happy everyone is well. can't wait for the next adventure to start
Well done. I was wishing I was #3 in that caravan.. A great example of family support and friends working together.
That last Indian Village had a view that's picture book perfect!
That landcruiser is a beast moving that 10,000 pounds I'm suprised it does it
Gotta love how even 50 miles into an unpassable trail there is a kid reping a Metal Mulisha T-Shirt.
I love this series guys. You really have had an awesome adventure. I'm based in the UK and already did a Solo Overlad trip on a Motorbike to North Africa and back. I'm now 3 months into Prepping a Truck to go back into the Sahara with my girlfriend on a 4WD overland adventure. Your videos have been an awesome inspiration.
Absolutely Wonderful... and a HUGE SHOUTOUT TO EUGENE FROM KLUSKUS LAKE BC... wonderful adventure!
Well done. Thank you for sharing your journey with us.
Awesome! Thank you!
Much clapping! Awesome adventure guys!
It has been a great adventure for all of us watching too!
Another awesome espisode. Once again, thank you for respecting native land, and requesting permission to stay and pass through. With all the tree cutting to make your own path through that trail, I felt like I was getting frustrated for you. Glad you all were successful and experienced a trip of a lifetime. Looking forward to the upcoming series, especially now that you have Cy with you.
Thank you!
wow guyz, you guyz are real soldiers and i couldnt stop watching ur whole trip, im very much impressed and this something i would and i will... you guyz are outstanding....
The victory dance was the best!!
Ребята спасибо за такой интересный фильм показывающий не только как тяжело было участникам экспедиции маккензи но и рассказывающий про жизни людей на севере Америки. Спасибо!!!!
Excellent! Good work crew.
Thoroughly enjoyed your series of adventure. I liked to see the team work and most importantly, I liked the precautions taken. Having a successful trip like this requires thought and planning. It was also really enjoyable to watch how you enjoyed the many pubs, towns, villages etc. You did a wonderful job of recording this adventure. Thank you for sharing.
Fantastic.Thanks
just keep going !
Superb series!!!
This was is an excellent show! It was artfully filmed and edited. Beautiful cinematography! Watching the interactions between the people was the most rewarding of all. Each situation was addressed with intelligent problem-solving. These days it is especially pleasant to see people working together to accomplish a goal and not tearing each other down. I look forward to joining the team on the other adventure!
Totally awesome! As cool as your central/South America trips were, this is my favorite! So beautiful. You’re Living the dream!
Beautiful series folks. Thanks for sharing this with us. Truly inspirational.
Great teamwork by all, you folks accomplished your mission, ever onwards
This has sincerely been the best car/expedition related series I have ever seen, hands down. I stumbled upon this video surfing CZcams to see videos about how well the Tacoma performed off road. I have learned not only that, but how fulfilling it is to travel the world, especially through overlanding. I am now going to commence modifications for my 2014 Tacoma 4x4; this is some serious bucket list material. Hope to see more videos from you guys, and your show deserves a spot on national TV. Thank you for this series.
Wow, you guys are tenacious! I enjoyed the entire Alaska/Yukon season, but what a great finale. Hoping to get to Alaska myself this summer, so thanks for providing some perspective on what to expect. Keep up the great adventures!
Great entertainment. Thanks
WOW what an epic journey! Not only was this inspiring to watch, it was mesmerizing. I literally spent the whole day glued to every episode. Thanks for sharing your journey. I now want to blaze a trail to lands far and away!
Well done! Echoing Jerry, I watched all of this in one sitting. You've provided a great record of a trip I hope to make. Thank you very much for sharing it.
Awesome Overland Adventure Journey... Watched all 12 episode and its epic... thanks for recording and sharing with all viewers in harsh conditions.. kudos to all..
What a great series guys. thank you. I watched over the last couple of weeks and couldn't get enough. "Normal's what you make it"
I may be 5 years late but damn that was exhilarating to watch! Now it’s time to watch Central America!
Just a Killer adventure. Excellent Story. Thanks for sharing with us!
Watching 8 years later. Bravo.
Amazing Video Series. I watched Return to the Mackenzie before I watched this one.And Always wondered were the First Adventure was. Now I know. THanks guys. Best of luck in South America
Just finished watching with my son. Great job. Keep doing what you do so well. Clay, it was great to meet you at Expo this year
Awsome…..enjoyed following your adventure very much. Kudos and congrats!
Hercules! Hercules!
In all seriousness though, great series. I am sad to see it end! I have shared you all with numerous people! Thanks a bunch!
no joke.. my favorite show of all time
Really enjoyed this series and appreciated you taking time to talk with my wife and I at the Overland Expo! One question I needed to ask, but forgot, is.... What were your GPS tools on this trip? Plus, what did you like about them and dislike?
Can't wait for your next adventure!
watching this series really makes me want to finish my explorer and make it capable of a trip like this. I've lived in Fort Nelson, British Columbia my entire life, and have gone all over B.C, exploring what this province has to offer. I've never been to Alaska, but it seems so much more beautiful than B.C. and it really makes me want to go there.
Best audio editing of the series!
I sooo had to watch all 12 episodes just straight away!
Thank you for sharing!!!
Simply Awesome!!! I waited till the last one to comment. I am so envious of your adventure and self discovery, and am so grateful you chose to share it.
most amazing series i have ever watched and makes me want to leave Australia and see the world beyond the cities
That is the best thing I have ever seen on CZcams! I really hope you find more places to travel to. You all have inspired me to get out into our trails here in BC. Thank You and please post more.
Watched this whole series today; what an amazing journey, and again, fantastic filming; can't wait to watch another adventure....thank you for documenting your experiences in such detail and sharing them.
Wow, well done guys! What a fantastic adventure. One of the coolest series I've watched in a long time!
WOW!! I was near the end and then realized that this the last episode. A life changing adventure. Thank you for sharing your experiences with us!
I envy you blokes, what amazing scenery you passed through and people you met.
Outstanding adventure guy's, Absolute beauty every step of the way. Thank You for sharing.
I'm sure whoever disliked your videos has never been and probably never will be going through trails, camping, fixing stuff when in a pickle, or enjoy any kind of outdoor life. Loved all your videos. You guys have inspired me to begin my dream of traveling around the world, by land or air. Thanx a lot for sharing those moments. One last thing, I'm happy those 2 trucks lasted your trip, I love toyota's and loved what you guys did to them.
You guys are serious badasses that looked like a ton of work. What a trail!
This episode was by far the best one. Kept me on the edge of my seat. You guys are awesome!
