I will be visiting the Azores in a couple months. I will be main island of São Miguel however, where the capital Ponta Delgada is located. Is there beautiful scenery on that island as well? How did you like it?
Hey how is it going... that's great your visiting the Azores. Every island has its unique landscape. Flores island is like no other. It's less touristic with more of nature. Sao miguel is known for there hot springs, eating the food prepared by the heat of the volcano, some waterfalls but not as many as Flores island. You have the lakes with different color waters, the abandoned hotel, the tobacco and pineapple fields. I recommend going to "Ilheu de Vila Franco do Campo" it's part of Sao Miguel but you have to take a boat there. If you watch my Sao Miguel video it shows you a bit of what to expect. Is the hike from Ponta Delgada to Faja Grande a must do? I have it on my to do list, but there’s a lot of my list and only 5 days
I wouldn't say a must, maybe if you were there for more than 5 days. Are you into canyoning? There are some beautiful ones you can do in a day!
I really enjoyed this video, but everything is looking a little brown and dried out, when was this taken ? (What time of year?)

Essa do Ilhéu dos Abraões nem lembrava nem ao diabo, o primeiro que está na nossa frente é o Ilhéu furado )note-se o buraco que tem no meio) e o outro grande por detrás é o Ilhéu de Álvaro Rodrigues ou Ilhéu grande como alguns chamam, ah e já agora para complementar a informação o último na foto é o Ilhéu do Garajau. Entendido? o Ilhéu dos Abraões é na costa oeste da Ilha, perto da Costa do Lajedo.
