Incubating and Releasing two Secret Buckets of Wild Birds | Saving more eggs than ever before

- Unexpectedly I had to find the space for more eggs to incubate from the wild than I'd ever had. It were new species and some birds that I had raised before. I had to do research and learned so much again. After months of dedicated work, I found the perfect spot for my friends to be released into nature: an Island bird reserve.

I watched the first Albert years ago. This man appeared a little broken. So nice to see him happy and thriving!
Yes. We love Alwyn very much here at ACCA❤
Yes, now he is a man spending his days doing work he loves ❤ I'm sure he feels fulfilled.
@@howdoyouknowthat Warms my heart!
I think he is just a quiet man, he has just come out of his shell so to speak! ❤😊
Yeah, so we're all a little broken at one time in our lives. The point is we keep marching, doing our best and keep giving our best. We can't be knocked for that. And if we are well, not our problem. 🙏💫💖🌱🌎
The lady who gave you the eggs should be proud of herself, she did a wonderful thing. And of course yourself for the time, love and freedom you gave the birds.
It’s because of you that I picked up a little bird off the road in a rainstorm it’s eyes were infected and it couldn’t see I took it an hour away to a wildlife rehab woman and she nursed it back to health and released it ❤
I too took four birds at different times, to our local wildlife center where they nursed and released too.....makes you feel good knowing that you contributed to a life saved....
I imagine the woman who called him about those eggs is watching this video now. What a wonderful feeling she must have knowing she played a part in saving all those birds.
I don't understand why the were to be disposed of in the first place.
Why would anyone do that?
What was the purpose of killing those chicks?
@@alicecain4851I too am wondering why the eggs were supposed to be destroyed.
@@alicecain4851probably it was from a pet shop and they weren't able to sell the eggs so they decided to destroy them because it was cheaper
Watching those Gosling spill out of the box and follow daddy out into their first Morning Sun was absolutely fantastic!
It's always a little bittersweet to see them all grown up and released into the wild, but I think the sweetness outweighs the sadness and makes it all worth it.
The person realized the viable lives waiting to develop inside those eggs. Very lucky little goslings to have been rescued by such a kind soul❤❤❤
😀
To our beloved Alwyn - we love u and thank u and I personally feel blessed to be able to be a part of your family.
I’ve watched this incredible man since Albert. What a beautiful, selfless and empathetic human being.
If everyone in the world was like him, can you imagine what this planet would be like?
I think John Lennon wrote ‘Imagine’ with this man in mind. 🙏🏻❤️🌈
:) that made me smile
& thanks for being here ever since Albert
Love, Alwyn
🥹your comment is so true & heartfelt...it made me cry- IMAGINE....🎶
@@AChickCalledAlbert you're welcome Alwyn, I meant every word. 🙏🏻
Thank you for all the smiles you've given me over the years. 😊

Yes imagine! 💚
It's Albert's legacy that so many creatures exist through your raising and care. He lives through every single life you touch and their offspring too. Well done for being a wonderful man and continuing after Albert. 💜💜💜💜
What an amazingly successful hatch! I have been to Texel and it is indeed the ideal place for these youngsters. Those eggs were very lucky to be entrusted to you. Thank you for your care and expertise for so many unfortunate creatures. 🐓 🐣 🐦 🐥 🦃
They're fortunate now. 😊
I wonder if anyone on the ferry recognized him ... and got his pawprint, I mean autograph !!
@@anyascelticcreationsyes! I was just thinking about that. Now they have it even better than the other birds of that place that wanted to throw them away
Absolutely beautiful
Me along with my 1 year 8 months old daughter enjoying the video.
Suddenly my daughter- "Thank you Uncle".
Lots of love from land of Gandhi 🎉
Keep Shining.
Awww 🥹🤍
You came to mind when my dad brought me a baby squirrel. It was about the age of exploring out of the nest & must have fallen. I tried reuniting w mother squirrel but she didn't get it. During a massive anxiety attack over that precious little creature dying I got on the phone. Finally found a wildlife rehab. I've nursed animals back to health & raised a kitten but I know nothing about squirrels! Much respect!!!!!
You did the right thing by calling the rehab!
What happened to the baby? Is it OK? We're you able to save and release it?
I hope all is well.
Blessings and Love to you 🙏🏼❤️
@@PADS62 after a medical emergency I'm not driving much right now. It has been on my mind! Funny thing is now when I go out I can recognize the cry of hungry baby squirrels.
@cindot2520
That's really so Kool that you can recognize a baby squirrels cry for help! But you didn't say if that particular baby squirrel lived or not.
@@PADS62 I've had some health issues so I haven't been able to follow up. She works at the store I usually frequent. As soon as I know something I'll update y'all ❤️
@cindot2520
Ok cindot, I'd appreciate that. I hope you're having a good day. 😊
Tell chick who has your number, not to keep it in her phone, if she’s supposed to destroy them, her job is at stake. That would end her heartfelt efforts. Thx for sharing what you do, it’s beautiful
Bless the lady who gave you the eggs instead of destroying them! And bless you for taking such great care of them and for releasing the birds in such a beauyiful place ❤❤❤❤❤
Bless her? She could have just left them in their nests to be raised by their parents and have a much better chance of knowing how to 'be' their own species.
@@audreymuzingo933 from what I understand the eggs should be destroyed. I don't know who made that order. Maybe someone here knows ?
@@audreymuzingo933in previous posts and the past the eggs were collected from area around the airport. The airports around the world chase off and destroy all the birds and animals that nest there for the safety of the airplanes and the people on them. Bird strikes and having a group suddenly get sucked into a engine will cause the plane to crash or make a emergency landing. He said he was grateful that this woman called him instead of doing as she was told by whomever collected the eggs. To break them in the nests would cause more animals and scavengers to come and eat them and cause a new set of problems. I'm grateful she was able to get them out to a safe person too.
I was wondering the same thing- Who told her to get rid of them?
For what reason?
So many wild eggs and different varieties
@@TheExtraClassic RIGHT? And considering how well ground nests are hidden, someone had to do a whole lot of walking and searching carefully in wet, weedy places, they had to REALLY want to find them and collect them, so WHY? What harm were they doing in some wild place, that they just had to be removed??
The only thing I can think of is if the wetland was located close enough to an airport that the birds could pose an engine-intake hazard. I know some airports employ dogs, falcons and/or predator sound recordings blasted from speakers, to keep birds away from the runways. But if an airport was put right by a wetland, that was just effing stupid.
As birds globally are in decline because of us, it is so very wonderful that you care so deeply and act with such love and wisdom to help, all birds. It always amazes me when the chick has dried off after hatching, how big they seem in comparison to the egg ❤
I know - right?
My claustrophobia kicks in when I think of them smashed in so compact.
I have no idea how I carried 3 babies and didn't go crazy when thinking about them becoming more and more squished in the confined egg-shaped uterus before busting out - think Aliens(LoL)!
Once babies come out (I had all natural vaginal births), they're like those dried off, fluffy chicks.
There is NO WAY they could fit back in there once they come out and stretch out!
Nature is beyond interesting!
Well, Canada Geese arent really in decline at all 😅 which is some that he hatched... in fact they're native to North America (and VERY successful there) and introduced (but i think is hopefully not invasive?) to the Netherlands.
@@cheesenipspartymix oh they are very much considered an invasive species in Europe! And as to what you were saying like you pointed out to the original poster Goose species including the Barnacles and everything else are on a massive increase not decrease. In the United States we have far too many geese both migratory and Resident populations!
@@deannelson9565 Canada geese are not considered invasive, they are introduced. They have no negative impacts on the surrounding ecosystem. They only become a problem when people feed them all the time and then they stay in one area and overgraze. Naturally they would migrate from different grazing areas but in urban areas they don’t have to because they get fed by the people. Here in the UK Canada geese move around a lot at least in the countryside and don’t have any negative impacts on local fauna
@@theotheseaeagleCanada geese in Europe are most definitely considered invasive they have a huge negative impact. You need to get out of the city. Canada geese are aggressive which causes negative impact on native waterfowl. It doesnt matter how they got there it only matters that they're causing problems. This is the same reason why here in the United States were killing your Mute Swans in mass.
It doesn't get any better than this when you see these beautiful birds look out to the sanctuary of their new home, with such wonder. Its a perfect place for them. Thankyou for doing the late night & 2am shifts for them. Everything you do is so much appreciated 🙏
I so agree! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
There `s a saying that goes like this : " We recognize the values of a people by the way it treats his animals ". And it is so true ! When I look at videos from the Netherlands, let them be from Friesian horses or birds, it`s impressive to see the respect and commitment with which they are treated and cared for. The agriculture is also very much highly developed so it makes you a people who is close to the root of nature. You see, that`s exactly what the rest of the world is striving for. Thank you for the beautiful videos you are sharing with us ! I`am convinced that your work goes way beyond what you ever imagined. From birds to people, you set them free and give them the chance and desire to fly again. God is using you for the big picture ! 💗
You and the lady that called you saved a lot of beautiful lives ..thank you so much for what you do
I will never understand why people destroy nests and view birds negatively, and I'm glad you exist to rescue those you can. Thank you, truly. Birds need our help now more than ever, as man-made climate change makes life increasingly harder for them, and for us all.
He is an amaizing person who brings so much life to this world
What a wonderful experience to save those birds and then watch them fly free! I have a feeling God was smiling down at you...
What a beautiful video. What a beautiful human being. Thank you.💕
I absolutely LOVE how the little geese slipped over on your floor! ADORABLE.
You’re just amazing, so amazing. It’s sad that Albert is not here today, but it still means there’s a piece of hope, from you.
It is rare to be able to say of a person you've never met, "the world is a better place because you're in it" -- but this is the person! Thank you!
I have followed you since Albert and I am still blessed by you to this day 😭❤❤

This man is just completely loving and wonderful in every single way. Bless him and all the lucky birds!!
The very best videos on CZcams ❤
very few channels have such soul healing powers
What a great labor of love you did! I absolutely can't understand how anyone can think of "disposing of" all these eggs - living creatures, nature's gifts. WHY????
Thank you so much for saving them!!!
How many were there in total in this rescue project?
Sadly, it's done at major airports all over the world. They don't do enough to keep the birds from nesting. Many airports hire a person with a Border Collee or similar dog to chase geese and ducks away. The owner of this channel has had one of those people bring him eggs before. Maybe this was a similar situation.
@@CricketsBayI am assuming it’s that or a landowner wanted an area cleared out of “pest” birds or something. People do stuff like that all the time to develop land.
Maybe probably just because they hate nature or animals in general, I guess.
@@theredeft5319that's what I was thinking. Either that, or the eggs were to be sold as food.
Canada geese are an invasive species, so it would have been the right thing to dispose of them.
This to me is better and more heartwarming than any Hollywood production could be. I am so happy for these birds to be able to live their lives exactly the way they would have chosen - a paradise indeed! 🙏
That shot at 6:10 of the seagulls flying by the boat is just beautiful - the closest experience I'll ever have to being a bird. Thank you. Gorgeous cinematography.

Wonderful to see them settle so easily into their new haven.
Wondering why the eggs were removed initially, why was the person told to get rid of them?

Hello Albert, would like to share that me and my partner have saved 8 old trees last 2023, by offering free design service for people building their houses. A wee bit of extra work but it’s all worth, we are going to install birds nest to promote sanctuary for the birds, we have heavy deforestation atm due to big developments.
Thank you for sharing your kindness and passion about birds.

You are a blessing and truly do God's work. Thank you
How did someone come into possession of so many wild species eggs and to be told to destroy them? That’s so odd and a bit suspicious to me. Glad they lived and were released ❤
People are saying they were possibly collected from an airport or collected by someone clearing land.
@@insomniacraccoon thank you for the reasonable explanation I appreciate it
@@insomniacraccoon I doubt that if it were someone clearing land that they would bother giving the eggs to someone rather than just destroying them on the spot. It would be good to know the exact details.
