Savoy Brown performs Hellbound Train at the Auburn Event Center on Jan. 24, '15. 50th Anniversary Tour Kim Simmonds Guitar and Vocals Pat DeSalvo Bass Garnet Grimm Drums
A guy I worked with had a load of Savoy Brown in his music stash at work. Played at least one CD every day. He just passed away last week. RIP and rock on Mike !
Use to start our mornings out to that song my brother and myself in Hershey , Pa getting ready to go to Penn National race track to work ! It runs deep in my bones as I look back at the age of 17 till now at 62 still riding it hard !
Great band, great song. I saw the Original Savoy Brown in Aberdeen Music Hall and the year after at the Inverness mini festival I think in 1970 (ish) . Sadly too drunk to remember both gigs in detail.
An extended rock classic. But as great a guitarist as he is, singing just isn’t Simmons’s strength. But I know he is tired of egotistical singers who keep leaving him.
May the soul of this Rock n Roll friend play forever on the other side. RIP Kim Simmonds
Just sent him a birthday card a couple weeks ago. Hopefully he enjoyed his birthday! RIP Kim Simmonds, I'll miss you.
No idea how it happened but i've only just discovered Savoy Brown (I'm 60) - jeez I LOVE this band!!!
Saw this guy with Savoy Brown do this in the late 70's. Great song. Great memories.
Damn he's good - over 40 years of listening and he still blows me away - keep it up!
Du caralho! From hell! Greetings from BraSil!
