Such an awesome concept. Having the pleasure of roasting on a 3e with the CoPilot, can’t imagine how great it must be with the new roaster. Congrats to both !!!

Can you povide more info. on how dose the automatin predect the hight of the coffee beans in the Hopper ? I just can't imagin that automation can work, sorry but I've been using the Artisan 9 for years and the worest thing about the roaster is controling the beans loft , other than that it's an the an awosem coffee roaster.

The automation doesn't control the loft, it only controls the heat to follow the set roast curve. You would still need to monitor the bean loft and turn it down when needed.
In the Valenta 7 the loft does not matter as much because the heat chamber where the beans are is enclosed and the beans cannot fly out of the hopper like it can in the Artisan hoppers.

Yes you can upgrade your current roaster. You would need to get the original roaster Co_pilot from Hermetheus and install it on your roaster and you're good to go!
