- Hi guys, welcome to day 1 of the 100 day project ! Today I am making a masterboard, while explaining what this challenge is and how I will go about it.
All projects in this series will be beginner friendly and will take less than 30 minutes.

Margreth, your intro is fantastic, and I love all of the vintage bits you chose for eye candy. Doing this series along with your regular videos is a lot to keep up with, but sounds like you’ve got it all figured out so I pray it goes to plan. Creating a master board in a large book is a great idea for many reasons, and I’m gonna pick one of my encyclopedias to use for this exact project. A few ideas for the series: happy mail ideas, types of tabs and page turns, different closures for journals, ideas for die cut slide frames (like Tim Holtz Ch 3), creating a writing board, different sizes and styles of envelopes, clusters, ways to incorporate lace in journals. Some of these may be too involved for the shorter videos, but these were a few that came to mind. You could also show how to make some of Tim’s new idea-ology pieces (like the collage frames and collage strips) with supplies on hand. I’m doing that now, but I don’t do YT:). Like you mentioned, tags, tickets, stamps and labels are always welcome. Sorry for writing a book. Big hugs from Ky, USA.

I so enjoy our play dates! I don't always make the same thing you are making but I always learn something new and useful, like master boards in books! And to repeat what some other commenters are saying, if you don't complete the 100 days, we won't be disappointed, be gentle with yourself.

I make masterboards in an old phone book. It's such a neat way of keeping them safe until needed. I'm doing the 100 day project for the first time this year and am looking forward to watching your 100 days of creative ideas. 😃

Can relate to the intro recording again and again... I thought it's just me and everyone is so good at that 🥺
But usually I need to record the intro again because of my cat 😂 she either wants to be a part of the intro too or she starts misbehaving loudly (throwing stuff, scratching the door etc)

Love your masterboard, Margreth! I have made several neutral ones myself. My friends who also junk journal think they are boring. Theirs are always very colourful right from the start. I was inspired by Rach’s video to make master boards in a book! Great idea! I really like this neutral one! I enjoy creating master boards and to keep them “stored” in a book is brilliant! I’ve been following Rach’s 100 days but I think I’m coming back to do some of yours as well. May not do them all but will enjoy watching what you do! ❤

Love your videos, Margreth! I often have your videos playing while I am creating. 2 ideas for you (if they've not already been done): In a charity shop recently, I picked up a 10 pack of smartphone screen protector stickers for 50p. Big ideas in-the-moment about using them to create windows.... I haven't had a go yet; still puzzling over it. I also bought for 50p four A4 sheets of magnetic glossy photo paper; meant for printing photos as fridge magnets. I've opened them and put them back-2-back and they hold really well. I haven't done anything with them yet either; still puzzling over the different creative possibilities. 2 Questions: Have you used screen protector stickers before? Have you used magnets or magnetic paper before?

What a great idea to do a master board in a book like that and leave it until needed :) I'm going to try to do the 100 days with you, but like you, some days I will be doing 2 or 3 just because of real life that gets in the way sometimes of fun/play. Please don't burn yourself out. Looking forward to many ways of doing stamps etc and anything you bring us. Also looking forward to Journal Jewelry ☺♥
