Another R tip is that it does not reset other stasis. So if your teammate uses Zhonyas or Stopwatch while in the middle of the enemy team and you R them, the Zhonyas/Stopwatch will run out first, while surrounding opponents will remain in the stasis of your R.
Bard's shrine provides vision once placed. Use them to check for pink wards and to avoid needlessly face checking brushes. Another good utility Is checking over baron and dragon pit.
Keeping shrines near walls can bait enemies into positioning badly to clear the shrines and lining up a q stun.
One really important skill is learning the timing for when your ultimate ends on an enemy. If you time a q so that it's on top of the enemy by the time the stasis ends, it guarantees a hit and if lined up correctly, a guaranteed stun.
E+ R combo to portal outside of a Veigar cage near the wall is the best trick ive seen pull off by Lathyrus
I’m in low elo so my ADC steals shrines, doesn’t wait for them to grow even if we have the time, walks over them at full hp or doesn’t use them at all even when told to in chat
How I feel in draft pick sometimes
If they don't I just use them myself, or figure out which other teammates do. Later in the game you can just w someone directly without it being as bad so it's not all that bad.

As a bard main with +1million on diamond, i cant say u should play him :c
i mean, he is good, and super fun (the most fun support in my opinion) but, he cant compete on almost any meta,
the issue is that when he is "good" Riot instantly nerf him (meawhile champs like lulu can be broken for months or even years without a single nerf)
Even if ure a good Bard player, enchanters supps are going to outscale you, they can do so much more with 30% of your effort.
I love too see more Bard mains like myself, but save your time, dont invest in Bard xd Riot doesnt want him to be op, or "better", ever :c
Better to main an enchanter or just a hook like blitz or thresh, Riot is never going to nerf them to the ground for being "too op" like they did with Bard in many patches
Or as they did with Thresh, they nerf both of them because of the potential that they have, I mean, a good bard can do a lot more with their team than a lulu (if the team decides to follow your calls) but yes you do are correct when saying than the enchanters are awful but if you can close the games a little bit early it wont be so bad (which is hard these days due to the meta of 40 minutes games)
I disagree; bard can always change the game and outplay any enchanter; I reached challenger last season playing purely bard; the character has so much potential and the investment is so worth it
Also don't feel like bard has bad scaling. In fact, I feel like it's one of the best in the game. Can he 1v5 nuke the enemy team? No. Can he dominate teamfights and objective control? Yes.
Im trying to master bard for 1.5 years. Its really hard, like other supports offering much less efforts to play. But the reason i play bard is his ult. Its so satisfiyng to make a huge safe on object, or save tower. BUT. Most of times im applying this on allie i ruin(

How to use tunnel imidietly when i post it
I started to play Bard and atm i start with W (i take also Aery) to set up heals for jun/mid or the bot (i usually duo with a jun so i put theme for him to get him a healthy jun clear)
i usually don't get the E until 5 and i max out W as fast as possible, a rule from bard is that he is not a champ ment to "win" bot lane but to set up the other lanes and scale late, to help me resist in lane more sustain from a almost max out W can make a big difference until lane phase is over (+ every shield from aery is going to add up in the health you can cover in general in early and it still can help you poke at the start) , you can't really be so aggressive with bard so maxing Q for me it's not the way, i prefer to get safer investment in W heals (this means also that leaving a heal in other lanes where you happpen to be there is better)
Also, if mid is not in a state to get a gank roam from you try to see if your jun about to go on your side of jun, if yes then go there, why? If you have nothing to do you can speed up his clear while at the same time still getting exp and power spikes, this means that your jun can be more fast to go gank or counter gank, i usually try to sinc with him to gank mid to be sure a counter gank can't ruin a roam of mine
Also, when i go b usually i go first mid if needed, even if i can't get a gank i can leave a heal for him under tower and when i have strong AoE AA i can help push if my mid has to take an urgent recall, afther that i can even decide to go top if i have a very good R to use or if i can sinc with my jun or to cover for herald, why i feel sure to do this? Bc i take always Tp, so i can be in bot lane as soon as i finished business on other lanes
Also, don't build damage on Bard, please don't...
Another thing, a safe R in teamfights is one aimed at the backline, you can't go wrong, yes, it can be not the 110% effective one in the specific situation but if you get it wrong by hitting the wrong target you alone can make a game roll over and die, i prefer to get a R at 70% possible utility then a perfect one that can go wrong and do self- damage
Also, don't be so fast to use your R to catch someone, remember that later your auto get a slow, you can use theme to catch, use you R to stop the rest of the team to help the one you are gonna catch and remember
Also, if you use your R on enemy minions when they are under your tower the tower is going to shot the enemy, very very good if you are under a possible dive or you wanna give some free tower shots to someone, 2 more shot can make the difference early
My best items for this champ atm are dead man (movement speed, armor, health, burst on the first AA, everything you want) ionia boots, radiant/locket, rapid fire cannon (in late some attack speed is nice to clear waves faster and using faster your buffed AA, movement speed is awesome, the burst proc also is pretty good and the range is great to pick better someone off with the slow on your autos, the 20% crit rate and Ad are wasted but you build this item not for the damage but for all the little utility that adds to you (also, note that the 50% slow it's still very good, you are gonna get that level of slow at 60 stacks, 55, 45 at 45 stacks so for a very long part of the game or even all the game you are going to benefit from this, this is also why i always build it first)
Force of nature is my go to if i need more magic resist, 900 for 50 it's really good early and the movement speed is also key to bard, even the early winged moonplate is pretty good on him
I also tend to build imperial mandate bc it's cheap and it gives you more AH (that you lack) and a good passive to make your Q and initial burst stronger, but i only build it afther tank items
