It's been almost a year since we moved onto our abandoned homestead, and it has truly turned into the forest paradise we'd always dreamt of. Theo is busy working on the remote cabin in the woods whilst I've been pruning a variety of our fruit trees and also walking the goats...

Theo and Bee gave up their busy city lifestyles in 2014 to explore alternative living, and have lived in vans and boats since then without looking back! Along with their cat Ginjey Bear they have been driving around the world in their self converted Sprinter van. However, when the global pandemic hit they began converting their abandoned stone barn in Central Portugal to turn into a wonderful tiny stone cottage. Along the way, they have rescued a playful cat called Furrnando and have a wonderful flock of Chickens!

I got a toolbox for Christmas once, and I really love it. The toolbox and the tools are gray and purple. That makes it extra special. It was lovely to see Bee's reaction when she received her surprise.

I need to buy those clippers for my 75 year old parents! Pruning the trees and shrubs looks therapeutic. Seeing you two walk the land always gets my permaculture ideas going. 12 weeks 👏 walking the land would be my choice of physical therapy. Cheers!
Theo! that tree fungus is turkey tail mushroom a super anti cancer shroom. Great in a tincture! Look up Paul Stamets! We love what you and Bea do! Best!

Two surprises and so much happiness in this episode! I am pretty sure that those mushrooms are „healing mushrooms“ called turkey tail (Trametes versicolor “, very expensive and sold as precious medicine for people with cancer (according to Japanese traditional medicine).
What a delightful treat to see Bee returning to better health - your good food and being able to move without pain or the other awful symptoms of PDD means you'll probably be at the best time you've had in years. How exciting. Your scaffolding system is brilliant! So simple to assemble but sturdy as can be when connected. So many good things happening for you. now. Thank you for sharing so much with us. May today be the beginning of a Great Spring up on your Mountain.

I was tickled to see Bea's reaction to her new tool. I'm the same way about my yard tools. I love my 4 inch blade battery powered chainsaw my husband bought for me . Bea would love one for getting the larger branches cut easily and quickly.

Hi Bee , you have a lot of pruning in your future . Just want to give a little info . Your apple trees need to be pruned like an upside-down umbrella. Open the inside so the sun can get through. Most of the limbs that grow on the underside of the branches . Most trees are basic the same . Have fun with your new prunners😊
