That off centre trackpad always gets me. They should get rid of the trackpad and have upwards facing speakers for an ultra model. And still only 76whr battery for the ultra model??
At least the new CPU is way more efficient now. But with the speakers and centered trackpad I totally agree. Why do they waste the area in the front and not center everything? Just to make it look slim on images?
They are trying to keep the laptop slim and a bigger battery simply won't fit. That's why they're focusing on making the CPU more efficient
@@cutefairy297 well there are enough laptops fitting a 90Wh at least or MacBook 100Wh instead of that 76Wh. Making it slim is a bad choice when nobody cares about a few mm more when it actually is portable because the battery is great. That makes it portable, not a 1.5cm instead of 1.8.
Huh mine Samsung book 3 pro is in the middle.
Samsung need to make the bezel at the bottom smaller. It make the laptops look weird with a smaller bezel on the top. They also need to add SD card slot
the Dell XPS line reduced the bezels way back in 2019 and we expected or was being hopeful Samsung would follow suit shortly after, we're still waiting. still, the new integrated graphics in the latest 360 version is appealing to me

Hopefully Samsung fixed the track pad issues. The precision issues makes it really hard to do anything especially editing videos. Also hope they added a palm lock feature because I hate typing on my on my Book 3 Ultra when my palm touches the big pad on accident and what I'm typing goes all over the place. I hate it
seconding this! for any real design work i often find myself disabling the trackpad entirely and using a wireless mouse, which kills a lot of the convenience imo. the combination of performance, form factor, display quality & noise level are pretty much unheard of and it would be the perfect laptop for me if the trackpad didn't suck so badly. i would consider upgrading to the book4 ultra solely for the trackpad improvements (if they *did* improve the trackpad, that is)

@@Promikes i never picked it up - the trackpad on my book3 ultra was bricked after samsung sent out a botched firmware update so im looking to upgrade to an asus zephyrus g16 instead 🙏

I was thinking about getting the Samsung Book 3 Ultra, but I noticed that the Samsung Book 4 Ultra will be released soon. What do you recommend, should I wait and get the new version or go for the older version?
New version. In the end you spend 3k on a laptop where the new version has a big upgrade in efficiency which is crucial for laptops imo
And I really hope to get the touchscreen on ultra as well. Its just nice to have and adds no noticable thickness or weight to the device.

I have the top line book3 ultra. It's loud, gets super hot while gaming, horrible battery life and giant charger. Not to mention the worst trackpad for those that tend to hard press vs tap. Looking to see if the new version addresses these shortcomings
among the gamers laptop its quite silent even in turbo mode. I highly doubt 4 ultra ll be cooler with the same compact body and more powerful. And charger now is 140w against 100w on 3 ultra, its going to be heavier. Even macbooks gets quite hotter while gaming.
Yup. What do you expect when gaming? This is obviously not the laptop focused on gaming so the cooling performance will always be lower than on those 3cm thick gaming laptops with optimised cooling pipes. And yes then you hear the fans even more. And the charging bricks... who cares? I mean you can not get a charger super slim and still have over 100W. But its at least possible, that you only carry one charger for all devices and if you are on the go, I would just take my slower 100W multi port charger which is slim enough and can charge all my devices. Thats better than the 240W charging bricks with special connector that those gaming notebooks use. With Thunderbolt 5 we will get that as well some time.

@@harleypippenger3255 @Samsung Although the performance of the new Ultra chips dont seem that promising in the benchmarks. But I like the announced improvements, although the speakers could be better, the 76Wh are a bit low and the trackpad is still displaced. Could have been fixed in one year and I don't know why the hell it can't be 3mm thicker or the front of the laptop have full thickness like MacBook Pros or Razer Blades, I don't need it to look slimmer for others, I want a great performance over the day with a clean design that doesn't say "Hey guys Im a gamer and I love RGB to the way of abuse". Still its the only beautiful laptop besides the Huawei with not so great quality and casual browsing and office performance
I thought the Ultra was grossly overpriced in the UK last year for the 16GB/1TB model, over £3000. The Galaxy Book3 Pro 360 5G I bought was £2050 on launch for 8GB/256GB. Thankfully, I got a new one for £800 on eBay, as Samsung laptops depreciate even faster than their Galaxy smartphones.
I still would not pay retail this year, but at least we get an iGPU that is contemporaneous with rival iGPUs rather than the Iris ancient GPU we had last year.
My thoughts on the new Intel chip are that it is less revolutionary than the marketing suggests, and it is more of an update to close the gap behind AMD and Apple. All improvements are good for consumers, but do not get fooled that this gen is even close to what Apple achieved when dumping Intel for Apple Silicon.
So the 40 more watt will get the Prozessor or will the graphic power will be much more in the ultra 4 with the more energy?

I ve read about issues in the previous gen while gaming and the charger could not deliver the necessary power while plugged in which was fixed when using a 130Watt charger. So I think its mainly a bug fix in that wattage calculation
The rated TGP of the 4070 gpu is 80 watts, from the US website, compared to the 60 watt from the book 3 ultra. Should be on par with a 4060 on a gaming laptop (the tgp, tital graphics power) of a 4070 should be around 115 watt, so this would be a toned down version of it

I always wanted one of thier 360 laptops but kept hearing about screen cracking issues.
I've the book 3 pro 360 and have had no screen cracking issues at all man, trust me this laptop is so worth it, but wait for the 4
@@mrwaterincupsyt1772 I also have the Book 3 pro 360 and have no issues with durability so far. This thing travels with me in a backpack every day. However I agree with the above post, the 4 will be the same price and with better battery, gpu and anti glare, worth the wait.
I am sorry I purchased the Book2 360 pro! Samsung joined with Microsoft was bad idea and I will never buy another laptop from this combination nor add it to my phones! Microsoft needs to stay in it's lane! Not to mention, I purchased 2 Surface pro and both screens peeled from the chassis... NEVER!
