i love how you added dave grohl and he is always forgotten as a guitarist:)
Just what I was gonna say
I’m not a big Foo fighters fan, but Everlong is one of the greatest songs ever, I also love Hey Johnny Park and Dear Rosemary, incredible songs and incredible band
Not only that, but people forget that he's Satan!
The first thing I thought too
As a guitarists yes, but not as an artists.
that picture of John Lennon will never get old
Unlike John Lennon
@@nathanstein589 hilarious
@@nathanstein589
***like*** John Lennon
That's EXACTLY what I was thinking!
What song is that by John Lennon
Something about all settings aren’t the same because all amps are different or something but I’m too lazy to explain
Bruh I don't know what you are talking about
@@grammerpolicedeputy6913 the different amp and cab make the tone different. The settings are suprisingly little to do with the tone
@@grammerpolicedeputy6913 The amp setting are totally unique in terms of how they sound from amp to amp. like bass at 5, mids at 5, and treble at 7 will sound completely different to a different amp with the exact same settings. The video is kinda useless because the sound he's getting from his amp using the artist's settings sounds nothing like the artists playing through their gear
@@grammerpolicedeputy6913 amplifiers use different preamps, can be tube or solid state, analog or digital, have different wattage, and speakers with different sizes. All those thing affect tone different. A British amp like a Marshall or Vox isn't going to sound like an American amp like a Fender. A Marshall has more mids by default. A Fender sounds more clean and brught by default. The EQ knobs work different
@@grammerpolicedeputy6913 The punctuation police would like to have a word with you.
me watching this fully aware i don't know the first thing about guitar:
you know w your ears!
You should get into guitars. It is way easier than it looks
Happy U added Tim
It’s scotts riff tho
@Big Chungus Bro he uses sim amps those still have treb bass and a middle
he put tim, then played scott's part, nice.
I thought more people were gonna point this out lol
When he gets to Tim that’s when he’s “like I got none of those riffs”
Actually what he play is in saucy 😉
@@Viggo-it’s Scott’s part
I love how you played Harrison’s part for Lennons tone and then Scott’s part for Tim’s tone. Also the fact you switch guitars and pretend as if the amp settings had the largest effect on tone.
Amp settings are HUGE to tone, but you’re still right about switching guitars. And that doesn’t even mention the fact that buddy made it 10x more useless by playing different licks/riffs in different styles on each setting, further ruining the ability to accurately compare.
My man the guitars had fuck all effect. He used two single coil guitars. The amp had the biggest effect on the tone.
@@vexedpixels you're telling me you can get a strat or jaguar to sound like a bridge pickup on a tele? Also, I got no clue where he even got these settings from, especially considering these guys all played different amps whose tone stacks behave differently. Like, on a vox like the Beatles used, turning up the eq actually CUTS the frequency. So setting something on, say, 7 is actually like setting it on 3 on a fender orsl marshall
i have an idea, you should post a sarcastic comment on a kids video who you know is more talented than you at his age than you ever will be just to assert the fact that you know stuff about gear. get a better hobby
Dude I love these amp settings shorts you've been making please do more
glad you added dave grohl, he’s always been my inspiration as a guitarist and drummer, and just a musician in general
Underrated guitar CZcamsr.
Bro, that part where you did Saucy was fireeeeeee
Well technically it's Not his riff it's Scottie LaPaige's Riff (main Guitarist of Polyphia)
im glad tim was on here- saucy riff was on spot
I fuckin LOVE the jimmy page one, spot on
“Tim Henson”
*plays Scott Lepage’s riff*
Unless Tim wrote that part but I’m pretty sure Scott plays it in the studio version.
Nah that is a scott part
scotty part yea
Man you need to cover some legendary metal tones like Tony Iommi or Vivian Cambell those guys are iconic
That everlong tone was perfect
I have never seen don't let you down played like that, that was awesome
This guy is going far
can u do john mayer in ur next tone setting vid??
This!
Bass at roughly 3, mids and treble around about 8, pickup position is mid neck split
@@alexoakley7286 Pickup is usually 4th or 5th position
🤡
John Mayer's sound is funky/ bluesy, saucy, spicy 🔥 & tasty
Full cover of everlong please🙌
I'd love to see a metal version of these!
I really thought Jimmy Pages setting sounded great 🤔and should be rank higher!😎
Whats the song hes playing with that setting?
@@edvardhagerupgrieg724heartbreaker
Love this series
im so happy u added tim henson omfg
I LOVE THIS SO MUCH
I wanna hear a Tom Morello amp setting next.
Tom Morello doesn't use amps, just pedals.
@@jaysleezy5464true
Finaly i found a video where you arent talking about hendrix or kurt
Love the reverse headstock when you did the Henson one!
Love the picture you chose for John Lennon. ❤
that tone give me happy
That StratTele made me double take xD
so basically you gave Grohl a 5 for the regular amp settings that I commonly use. I agree.
I think mine are pretty similar, and I wonder if it's at all because I use humbuckers/LP style stuff (tends lower in timbre) but still want to have punchy clarity and some break up.
Grohl's ES-335 probably matches perfectly with those tones.
Aa a huge beatle fan, it still took me a bit to figure out what you were playing. It was "Don't Let Me Down" from the "Let It Be" album
I love all of these guitarists
Randy’s guitar tone is amazing
God Bless, Much Love
You should do a reel of your amp settings, like just make one that you enjoy then post it up.🤷🏻♂️
Love your guitar
That saucy riff tho🔥🔥
Lennon’s had me. That sounded wonderful
lennon with harrison’s part
tim with scottie’s part
That is some saucy playing bruh
All of them were pretty nice.
Your a natural kid 🤟🏼🤟🏼
When you scroll thru youtube shorts ans find a ahort someone just uploaded 😎😎😎
holy shit that Saucy playthrough though
Where's Brian May? That iconic scream is instantly recognizable.
No shot you picked THAT photo of lennon lmfaooo
Cool dude
play goat coward
jkjk love the vid you did an awesome job
I loved the Beatles sound the most
The double cut tele is clean
Can you do a part 4 pls
Hey I would really love to hear your take on Jimi’s People Hell and Angel album Hear My Train a comin, the Solo section!!! Please. Huge fan bro keep it up.
Part 4 please + Noel Gallagher amp setting
Pov: you're still waiting for Brian May's test
I was waiting for jimmy’s, and now I’m waiting for him
Idk if ya have already or not, but seeing Angus or Malcom Young's tones would be pretty cool, even if they're pretty simple
Billie joe armstrong from Green Day in next video
waiting for Young brothers, Ritchie Blackmore, Eddie Van Halen)
Finally a video where he doesn't bring up Jimmy Hendrix
You should do Marty Friedman!
That strat body with tele setup was the coolest thing I've seen in a loong time! Did you build that yourself or is it a Squier Paranormal?
Griipy
Love how Tim’s ‘devilish’ tone was 666...
If you know, you know.
That picture you showed of Jimmy with the double neck, I was at that concert. It was Jimmy, Eric, and Jeff Beck with a whole bunch of other rockers. 1983 MSG Ronnie Lane benefit for MD
Your a great axe man wow
Somehow him doing this makes all of them sound like Hendrix and/or Frusciante
OOOH, DO JIM ROOT NEXT PLS
Screech lives
I went to go try Dave grohl setting that noticed that my amp was basically almost exactly set like his 🤯
As Dave Grohl said. He always sees the guitar as a set of drums.
Nice Videos. Cool and informativ 😀 can you do Steve Lukather in a nother Video? Would be very nice
You should do Stu Mackenzie's from King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard next!
Do the Smashing Pumpkins!
On the Next video about the settings can you put my favourite guitarist? Brian May
plays a Scottie Lepage solo for tims settings
Bro FRRRR guy prolly learned it from Scotties short upload too. That guy got a really shitty deal man cause he's been writing all the hits since the start
Your dad is Joe Piscopo of SNL
Dude what was that song you played for john lennon. I love the sound of it
i didnt know a "drummers amp settings" were a thing and then i thought about mine and realized its exactly where mine were. so yeah drummers amp settings really are a thing!
what is that double cut tele thing? i really like it
Johnny Greenwood deserves a spot fo sure
Nice
Like bass treb and mid settings even matter… it’s about guitar/pickups/amp/pedals’ types and settings.
Do Brian May!
you should put kirk hammett in one of these
That jazzmaster 🥴
Make of Josh Klinghoffer please
Do Van Halen next
You’ve got to put Kurt cobain in one of these
Please do Brian May
Since you did Tim Henson now you HAVE to do Ichika Nito
Tony Iommi and Dimebag Darrel!
Do one with a fender champ reissue
I wish tim sounded like that
next do D. Boon -
Bass - 0
Mids - 0
Treble - 10
I use an orange amp with a bass cab, I use a tele and my amp settings are
Treble: 10
Bass: 6
Mid: 2
Different pickups from different years, different gauge strings, different amp and cab configurations from different brands with different speakers in them. There are so many variables it baffles me that videos this vague garner this many views. The treble, mid and bass knobs can be set the same but the differences listed above (I'm probably missing a few) make it all moot
Hope more people see your post. Its insane how much bullshit this dude spills out with this shit
I had to scroll quite a bit to finally see someone point this out. This trend of "famous amp settings" is so detrimental to beginners who are learning about how gear works and the people who make these videos should be ashamed.
I actually really like the sound of the Grohl one.
Do Kurt Cobain!!
