Hawked is goated
I agree with you one hundred percent, although...aren't there rumors of a dedicated BR Story Mode coming to Fortnite and NO I'm not talking about STW
👎 Negotiate putting the ad at the end, it’s really annoying… 👎
Thanks, Adam. I was late to fortnite, so I look forward to jumping on this game from the ground floor.
Super Animal Royale Is A Really Good Game Nearly Every Cosmetic Comes Back To The Game Or Is Always Available And You Don't Really Need To Spend Any Money On It, It Perfect! 😁
I Also Like That It Isn't A Completely Different Every Year And Isn't Covered In Bugs As Well! 😊👍
Edit: Also Did I Mention The Season Passes Aren't Limited Time!
I still play cod and Apex sometimes but I'm going more towards the games with stories and campaigns that was always my first love give me a story
yuck warzone and apex 🤮whats wrong with you clean your self up..
I sure do miss the early days of Fortnite 2017 to 2019 Fortnite you are missed
Mee too man 😭
the og season was fire tho glad its coming back this year aswell
yall sum queers fort is good your just nerds
Battle royal was a battle royal
@@Findingusernamesishard it's coming back again? I know they did season OG a while ago which was sick but they really doing it again?
I came back just for season OG and haven't played after it ended so idk
So happy you talked abt spellbreak. It was a genuinely good game and I wish it never died.
Don’t forget about the goat of it all. Minecraft Survival Games. Played that before any of these battle royals were around.
That takes me back 😅
I miss the Minecraft days🥹
Omg word
The good old days playing hunger games in Minecraft.
Battle royal was a battle royal
It's not dead, it's just a overused game genre for nothing.
For our sins we deserve eternity in hell, but God loves us so much he came as Jesus to pay the price of our sins through living a perfect life for us, his death and his resurrection so we can be forgiven and receive eternal life if we follow and obey him in faith FOR LIFE , Jesus loves u and desires to have a personal relationship with you of love, peace, redemption and obedience ✝️
May Jesus bless you, repent of your sins and turn to Christ before it's too late 🙏🏿❤️
man just summed my video up in a sentence
@@PlayStationGrenadebro didn't even watch the vid 💀😭
@@PlayStationGrenadehe didn’t even watched your vid lmao.
Battle royal was a battle royal
50v50/Air Royale were still my favorite LTMs.
Literally Battlefield
Battle royal was a battle royal
Fortnite is our real life version of the Oasis from Ready player one.
Fortnite still popular to this day millions of players play everyday I think it’s one of them games that won’t die
Fortnite isn’t only battle royale
In terms of quality and enjoyability it's kinda fallen off
☝ this is correct.
While it's shell is a battle Royale, the bulk of players engage with the community made creations as well as he Newl added Lego/Driving/Dance modes. The last few months I've only dipped my toes into the BR mode. Fornite won't die because they've branched into a much wider game pool and ca adapt on the fly.
Not to mention if the "next big trend" were to pop up soon, fortnite is in the perfect position to pivot the main appeal of their game to that genre, while allowing players to keep all their stuff.
@TheGodHour286 yes my point exactly many people play creative a lot more than battle royale
😂 millions my ass I’ll believe that when half the lobby’s aren’t literal bots.
as much as i am exhausted by fortnite at this point, i pray it doesnt fade away. it's one of the only games i still find myself playing after all these years, and without the BR mode, i probably wouldnt even play games anymore
I think it’s not going to fade away. Not long ago epic signed a deal with a tournament company to help with fncs for I think 5 years so it’s not gonna end and Fortnite always collabs and brings stuff back like chapter 1 . I see fortnite battle royale probably has a couple of years but I’m assuming it’s going to be way longer.
Also, Battle Royal or, moreover Last Man Standing modes have been around since Unreal (Unreal Tournament 1999 GOTY Edition) but the first ever last-man-standing video game with a shrinking play zone was the 1983 action game Bomberman.
Bomberman is so good.
The Best Thing in Fortnite Chapters 1,2&3 is that They have a Story and Map Felt Alive and Map Changes Meant Something and From Chapter 4 onwards it lacked the Story and In Chapter 5 The Story Lacked and The map became Soulless
And yet the storyline has usually been the thing people cared about the LEAST in Fortnite. Hence why I think they've sort of dropped it. It may have been one of the coolest things in the game (and also why I got into the game), but sadly, it's not why EVERYBODY plays Fortnite. They play it for the gameplay, the map changes, the collabs, the content, the literally everything else. And if it's only a small minority that cares about the Storyline, why would Epic put so much time and effort into it? Hence why I feel like Chapter 4/ 5's storyline has been relatively minimal. We've been reset back to the bare minimum that is necessary, just enough to keep things moving along to tease the next season or chapter.
Of course, the fact that Epic supposedly changed the season order of Chapter 4 definitely may have forced them to rush out a new storyline to keep things making sense, probably led to it's quality drop. And with a new CCO, who knows where BR will go next? Map changes have seemed promising, and so does the storyline, I guess we just have to see...
the ONLY reason why yall continue to say the c5 map is soulless is because its actually somewhat realistic. yes it has similar looking pois, but theyre all in the same biome based off of france. nobody says anything about greasy, pleasant, retail, and salty though, i wonder why~
@@stanloonaguys_Supposedly the different regions are based off of different EUROPEAN countries. It's not all French, there's also apparently italian, spanish, roman, swiss, and german inspired POIs and landmarks too. This Island is basically Fortnite's take on a European themed map. And if that sounds soulless to people... I don't even know what to say. What would they rather have? The same old Generic American locations?
fortnite has a story ?
@@kazuhirokawamoto7213It does, it was very simple in Chapter 1 so most people didn't even consider it a story, but it went absolutely INSANE during Chapters 2 and 3 with cinematic live events and everything. But it's kind of fizzled out in Chapter 4. It's still going on right now, but not much has happened since the start of the season...
*TLDR:* Yes, but I wouldn't blame you for not knowing. Most people don't know/ care for it anyways...
Love your videos! Keep up the great work!
a Very nice Video Adam, a change of pace from your channel. 👏
Epic has done a great job with keeping Fortnite alive for all these years. The thing that it *needs* to get people more excited about in these recent years is to concentrate on the storyline and map changes again. Having very small nearly unnoticeable map changes and lack of live events is hurting Fortnite rn. Once they lean back into those things it'll pick back up with more people playing a bit more consistently ... imo
I'm still heartbroken because of Spellbound. I loved that concept. 😊
I never fell out of love with BR. What killed my entertainment was SBMM & stacking squads.
Having too carry two potatoes every match against 3 stacks eventually got to me.
"Stacking" isn't a thing/issue. You can't complain about people play a SQUAD BASED GAME AS A SQUAD.
2:31 spell break had so much potential
I still play br games but have started moving back to siege but play solo games if friends aren't on. But i think now we are ready for something more movement based and fast paced.
TITANFALL 3
Thank you because battle royale was so new around 2016 it was the newest edition to gaming but we need to find another game
loyal apexer since season 2. beat 7 of the last battle passes and after this season i might truly be done for the next season or so. the fatigue has been real and this season just starting
This season just got me back, its so good.
@@TheMindOfHanif i agree, the perk system and new shields elevated the game so well. it keeps you on your toes and makes it more leveled
I played zombies with friends but my first squad pvp games were in fortnite. Used to have plenty of people to play with, now it's sometimes one or two but mainly by myself. I miss those days and all the buzz, I was so invested in the storyline and kept up to date with news etc. Two channels I watched for fortnite content have slowed right up. GTA 6 will be the next big thing
0:35 the puppy is adorable
Having friends to play with will always make a game more fun most of the times
I used to play fortnite everyday, didn’t liked it when they launched chapter 2, started playing apex and loved it, but since a couple weeks I love to play other games modes like team death match more then battle royale.
Great video!
hey that john wick clip is my best friend's video :-D! I'm the one that shot at him! t hanks for the credits to him, I sent it to him to see
I feel like extraction shooters might be the new obsession/addiction because there are few games coming like arc raiders or division heartland that are extraction shooters and free to play.
Hitting the nail on the head. I said the same thing with Gundam U.C. Engage in their comments page. Even me playing physical cards and board games just keeps me occupied.
You should do helldivers 2 news updates of the lore and community achievements in the game like how you do with the Fortnite lore id love to watch that to keep up with the lore since i cant play videogames very often
Rumbleverse was such a good game! I would gladly play for it if it would mean I could play it again❤
That game was great. Played it daily till they shut it down 😭
Fortnite never fell. Sure it has lost some player base over time, but millions of people still play it everyday. Recently, it just hit its new player record. Fortnite will never die
I love Hyper Scape and Realm Royale so much…
Blood hunt is so fun too
Really good videos
I think it just needs to evolve, when big changes have been made I think it has been for the better, but these changes have to be impactful on the good side otherwise the games will steadily die
We need a video talking about battle royals games that died through the years 🗣️🗣️
9:23 I can’t believe how Fortnite messed up their locker loadouts. I made all 100 slots and now I can’t get my full loadouts on random anymore and had to pick each time. Now I don’t equip a back bling or axe. I just have the skins on random so bad
Yes! I had the same problem after they switched it. It was so much better the way it was before.
Agreed, I dint understand the logic behind it
Hey Adam do you think we will ever see the resolution of the Fortnite storyline?
Highly doubt it, Donald Mustard was in control of the storyline but since he’s gone we most likely won’t see anything more.
not really. The fortnite story has always been about getting people excited for the next season. hence why every time there is an "ending" it just turns out to be the next bad guy right after the other dies. If battle royale completely dies they might do a finale event but idk
Unfortunately, that's highly unlikely.
I feel like the closet thing to a conclusion we got was the separation of "universes" we got in the last event.
@@iisyko. yep 100% true the game kind of died with me when he left you can clearly see the changes going for modern audience trying to please everyone
I feel like the genre of battle royale itself wont die but if new ones pop up with bad execution it will
I’m rooting for multiversus!
Floor Is Lava was such a top tier LTM they should honestly bring it back and leave it in like they did Team Rumble
The spell one looked fun never tried it tho
Still one the top genres in gaming
Battle royal is still very much alive. Each of the games in the thumbnail have very active player bases.
Never had that problem mainly because my account got stolen around season 8 and I didn't get it back till the fortnite og season
I hope battle royale stays for a while even though playing solo isn’t to fun and we’re growing up out of game’s playing with friends is way better then not playing or dropping in solo. I hope Fortnite keeps its charm for br and the focus on it the most… the other modes are fun but people only started playing it “myself included” was for the sweet victory royale and the memories with friends
I was always a story mode player since the beginning of modern gaming. The satisfaction of finishing all 3 last Tomb Raider games will never be fulfilled by a vitory umbrella or playing against sweats. Its a battle of one person vs the creator's mind and the developer who designed the game. I am playing dishonoured from 2012 and I am enjoying it. Havent bought a battle pass in a while and the only new game mode I enjoyed on Fortnite was Rocket racing.
can we just take a moment to say rip to spell break it closed down late 2023 :(
Been wanting Fortnite: Tarkov for a while now.
3:28 this is exactly what I do just enough to keep up with free pass each season.
I literally downloaded hawked today before watching this vid
8:13 which was abandoned in mwIII and it’s still in beta in mwII
DMAC's are ruining BR's too. Finally blocked by PS4/5 but still open for Xbox and PC sadly. Peterbot from Fortnite is a prime example of a DMAC cheater.
My biggest problem with WarZone is all the fucking glitches, literally made it unplayable(and all the cheaters made it not fun)
Lol when I saw Helldiver 2, I thought it was Super Earth attempt to recruit people to become a Helldiver through this channel.
I have watch you since season 8 chapter 1 don’t leave
super animal royale mentioned lets go!!
BR's with there battle passes have just become a chore to me. I find myself playing just to complete said passes, which keeps me from playing games that still bring that joy that we play games for in the first place
Nice
9:09 ah yes ___ boxfight is a unique experience
Hard to see it falling when Fortnite is posting record numbers and actives. The others have fallen for sure but Fortnite has remained on top overall. I still hate a lot of the sweat aspects and stream sniping but that's never going away sadly no matter the game.
I honestly had no idea battle royal was popular. I think i only played warzone and maybe a game or two of Fortnite, but, my main issue with BR is that you drop in, takes you 10 minutes, sometimes longer, to find a single person and then someone from the hill behind you kills you. Sometimes you might kill one person, but its just too big, waste of time just walking around when you could just play team death match.
BR is dead but resurgence is WAY MORE fun and engaging. There are still risks of getting wiped but now if you get sniped 1 second into a fight you don’t have to wait forever to come back. I think resurgence is such a better idea than a BR. Way more fun
So will the PVE modes be next?
I miss when Fortnite felt alive. Like you could justify map change videos because the map changed
Mad respect for mentioning Animal Royale
Love blood hunt and spellbreak was a great game I was pretty disappointed when they announced it's shut down
The reason I’m still playing Fortnite is because I’ve spent too much money on it
EXACTLY
Fortnite is still popular till this day with 3 million active players on a daily, although Fortnite has moved away from just being a battle royale to being a platform, the battle royale modes are still doing very well
bro R.I.P to spellbreak, that game deserved way better then it got.
I have been playing fortnite for 7 years and in the first time in a while i am actually ok with leaving fortnite behind because that game has no hold on me anymore
I hate that Darwin Project and Spellbreak died, because I loved playing them.
Battle royale is the ultimate rush
never would've thought i would have seen JaidenAnimations in a PlayStationGrenade video.
Come on, man, you know I gotta get that fortnite battle pass 😂
Only BR i want to come back is rumbleverse. Game was goated
COD and PUBG is the only one ive played.
I play FN with my kids and its so colorfull it hard for my to keep up with my teammates.
it fell because they need to add a pve battle royale where everyone fights to be last to survive only killing enemies and not eachother. dodging sliding and killing enemies for points to live. there needs to be vampires, werewolves, soldiers, zombies, aliens, monsters. and the game can have up to 200 users in a lobby at once and you can pretty much play until last person lives and you could befriend teams even having 50 plus people control one buildng from the enemies/monsters and as everyone dies one by one the rwards are given based on placement not wins
So update STW?
Yeah i haven't been playing BR alot in the last few seasons. Just minimum to get 200 every season and even that i dont always hit. However this season im playing alot again but not BR its mostly Festival and occasionally Rocket Racing. I still play BR but only to do challenges tbh
Fortnite needs to bring back the Old LTM's
ive played fortnite scince it began and i fully quite the game early last year. mainly because i was getting tired of having the empire state buliding on my head then one shot from some random overpowed gun
Resurgence is the best thing that ever happened from battle royale
I hope all battle royale games expected pupg to dissappear and never come back
I wish plunder would come back😊
I miss Rumbleverse 😢 game was fun with friends
Fortnite is going to stick around for a whole lot longer than we think, literally not long ago Disney and fortnite made a 1.5B deal...March 8 only around the corner and I'm excited about what we are going to see
I think recently I haven’t been playing as much Fortnite this season is really good but it can feel very repetitive
I'm so glad Warframe keeps things fresh😅
More and more ppl are saying gaming in general is dead, but I feel that most ppl who say this, only play live service games
I've gotta be honest, I haven't been interested in fortnite for a while mostly because of the lack of story. I love the new island and incredibly fresh and fun mechanics, but they haven't developed a story beyond a few muttered sentences.
Since Chapter 1, the story grew in ways we couldn't imagine. Everything starting with a meteor, then using that same meteor to create a black hole, being invaded by aliens, flipping the island, the Avengers, and a fully fledged war!
When chapter 4 happened, it felt like a full story shift had occured. Nothing much happened, and it really had a mind of its own. Then season OG happened somewhat suddenly and unexpectedly.
We used the meteor that began it all to restart everything, including the story, leaving what we once knew behind in the name of a new world.
Players who were used to story and enjoyed seeking it out have been left empty handed. While it is only the first season of this new world, I believe that what we once knew about the game, both the traditions and mannerisms, are gone.
Now we can only hope that the new over arching story for this game (if we get one) will eventually be as packed as what we once had.
While it is a shame that the Storyline isn't as huge as it once was, I feel like much of the problem simply stems from the fact that not many people ever cared for the Storyline, even during it's "Peak". And so if it was only a small minority of the playerbase that really bothered with the Story, why should Epic bother putting in so much time and effort into it when it's clearly not what most people want? This is obviously most prominent in Chapter 4 where they really tried to lean into making more Gameplay content and of course, working on UEFN/ The Metaverse. Perhaps, what little story we did get in Chapter 4 was solely because it was Donald Mustard's passion and otherwise the corporate demands would've cut it out entirely.
On the other hand, it's also entirely possible that the rumoured season order change in Chapter 4 lead to the storyline being messed up and having to be quickly rewritten leaving quality... questionable. And we're really just recovering from that ordeal more than anything. Which if that's the case, just means we should've still had a cool storyline going this whole time if it weren't for that and Charlie Wen is left cleaning up the mess...
I disagree with the fortnite changing away because if you look at the player count there are vastly more players playing br than any other game modes or maps
Man rumbleverses was the best one I've ever played lol
I said from the beginning that battle royal would not be forever because of the constant sweating and constant competing. You lose over n over again and never end up having fun I feel like just simple multiplayer is all games need
I been trying to get into battle royale in fortnite ever since they added zero build. I need incentive to play, to improve. Not just because it’s fun. A goal, loot, levels, progression. Something.
When I do quests for free rewards I just leave the lobby when I finish the quest. Who cares if I get the victory royale lol.
How funny would it have been if the sponsor of the video was a BR game 😅
Nothing was wrong with rumbleverse I miss it till this day
Am I the only one who wants a Fortnite Extraction mode? Like I wish we still had the Impossible Escape LTM, but more complex, like instead of assembling your way out, rift devices apear across the map, and gold gets used to spawn vehicles and stuff.
I doubt they'll ever make that though. Most of their new game modes seem to be focused on attracting entirely different audiences. Racing, Rhythm, Sandbox Survival, they're all vastly different genres. So an extraction mode would still be lumped together with just "shooters", and since we already have BR, Epic are probably unlikely to do that anytime soon.
LTMs are also out of the window because Epic will just viciously point at UEFN and say *"MAKE IT YOURSELF, WHADDYA THINK WE GAVE YOU THIS FOR??!!?!?"* So I guess you'll just have to beg a Creative Team to make it...
R.I.P Rumbleverse
With more than 2 decades in online gaming, we can safely say that it's not just battle royal games. It is multiplayer games in general and it can all be summed up in one word.
Cheaters.
I play fortnite but not BR. I got bored of that mode when Ch2 released. Save the world on the other hand is all I play, but still is repetitive & quite grindy. I’m surprised that I’m not bored of it this far. The only time I returned to BR was when the Storm king LTM came.
