I heard this sung at a funeral about 70 years ago when I was 14 years old. I told everyone then that I wanted it sung at my funeral. I am 84 now and still haven't changed my mind. I love the words and Stephen Hill does a wonderful job of singing it.
I discovered this man of God after his death. No other singer has blessed me like Stephen Hill. I'm looking forward to meeting him in Heaven.

I wrote Jesus Hold My Hand in 1970. My parents were fighting with each other night and day and there was extreme domestic violence for about 3 months. I needed God's help because I was by myself away from any other family. But God is good! He brought me through!

He could have made millions singing mainstream music and been extremely famous, but he chose to use it to praise the Lord instead.

Listening to the "Heaven" Gaither Gospel project in iTunes this evening and came across this guy singing this tune; his voice was so captivating I had to look him up and find this. I'm blown away by his musical gift and so sad to hear that he's already left this world. What a tragedy; this guy could forever sing! Man I love his voice!

I wrote When They Ring The Golden Bells in December of 1969. The song 🎵 was originally written in Flemish and translated into English by my mother. I had been attacked by a pit bull and nearly had to have my left leg amputated at the knee. As I recovered from my injury my brother was born and my parents finalized their divorce. Then my mother began using hashish and got an accident overdose. My father insisted that she had to get treatment to keep custody of me and my brother. So I looked to the Lord during this time of uncertainty.
So sorry to hear your suffering.Just pray until something happens.

One of the true pioneers of gospel music
I recently used this at my Dad's funeral. What a beautiful rendition, what a voice, what a heart, what a man. Stephen, say hi to my Dad, Everett, for me. You both showed God's love in amazing ways.
